I found the dungeon from ALTTP in EoW!!!!!!

In ALTTP there is a dungeon in the desert that I recall you need to Book of Mudora to open, and there's this little platform where you do so in front of the dungeon, with a very particular turn of rock nearby that I always used to avoid the geldmen.

Anyways, I was wandering the desert in EoW, and I found the same turn of rock, and just as I was beginning to smile about that, thinking "i know this! this is familiar! like home in a weird way!!!" THE FREAKING PLATFORM appeared too, and then? The three heads that signal the door to the dungeon in ALTTP! The middle of which, as everyone knows, being the entrance to a dungeon!!!

So, EoW Downfall Timeline confirmation I guess?

I realize now you asked for one fic but uh--I kinda compiled a list of some of my favorite AUs instead. I've read a lot of fics, but to save your sanity I'll stick with my 3 main fandoms: Linked Universe, Kingdom Hearts, and Tales of the Abyss. I'll tag authors where I can, but some I just couldn't find anywhere 😭

This definitely isn't all of them but if I tried to compile every single AU I've loved, we'll be here all day.

Kingdom Hearts:

Familiars by @kutikue @letoasai- all the characters are witches and/or familiars. I've just started reading it but it seems good so far! Definitely one of a kind!

Runaway Wind by Pred1059 - Ven wakes up early. It gets very off the rails very quickly.

Vulpes to Dandelions by YumeTakato (deviantart profile)- An Ava is Sora's Mom AU as well as a Master of Master's Arc speculation series. This one also goes into alternate universes and other things that make it unique.

Linked Universe:

Links Assemble by @vicmillen (Victor_Millen on AO3)- Marvel fusion AU featuring Warriors as Captain America. It's in-the-works so seriously, go over to Vic's blog and check it out!

Townhouse AU by st0rmy - a really fun AU where all the Links end up living in the same townhouse together. Chaos ensues. Time is tired.

Tales of Courage from Across the Galaxy by @wizard-finix (CubanCracker62 on AO3) - Star Wars fusion. I'm currently reading it, but it's good so far! There's also some art for it too!

Linked Nexus AU by @zarvasace- Space AU. I've just started reading it but I can't wait to see where it goes.

Wing Bois AU by @breannasfluff - probbaly one of the most unique AUs in the fandom. The Links have wings and bird traits. It's also very fluffy!

Hero's Aspect AU by @tashacee - Wild gets stuck in the Hero's Aspect outfit. I'm currently trying to catch up on all 45 parts, but it's definitely one of the biggest AUs for Linked Universe.

Opera House AU by @bokettochild (FlamingIdiot on AO3) - modern AU but all the Links work in an opera house. It a very different and interesting setting for a modern AU. I also can't reccomend Ketto's fics enough to be honest.

Fierce Hero 9 by @crazylittlejester (Can_Opener on AO3)- Big Hero 6 but it's Linked Universe. It loosely follows the plot of the movie, but there are some huge, interesting differences between this and the movie.

Tales of the Abyss:

Bladework by @starcrossed-sky - probably the best "Asch joins the group" series out there. Lots of political intrigue. The characters are so well-written and the 2nd person POV is so unique! Definitely made me obsessed with 2nd person POV lol. Follows the plot of the game initially

Reflections by @darkangelmya - an AU where Asch decides to return to the manor instead of running away with Van. Asch is an overprotective brother and it's awesome! Also follows the plot of the game, probably the most religiously of all my other fic recs for this game

Troth by @daily-rayless (Rayless_Night on AO3) - A post-game Asch comes back too AU focused on Asch and Natalia's relationship. Very beautiful, Rayless is an amazing author!

As for stuff I've written... I have to say the more unique ones boil down to [obscure media I read when I was 13] fused with either Linked Universe or Kingdom Hearts 😅 So like, my Lockwood and Co Fusion or the Stravaganza fusion I'm thinking of making lol. I also have a lot of unfinished Kingdom Hearts fics from years ago, like a "Eraqus gets brought back to life but he's 16 again and has amnesia" fic and a "Brain ends up in the time of Days and changes things" fic.

As for serious fics... I can't not plug my passion projects, the Reconnect the Chain AU and Relinked AU. They're both Linked Universe fics where the Links reunite (though I'm planning Relinked to be a comic). They're AUs of each other, with Reconnect the Chain being an AU that boils down to "what if Relinked happend 10 years earlier minus all the kidnapping?" (AKA, it's my fluff outlet lol).

I yet again managed to write an essay but uh--enjoy the fic recs!

Shuhei Kita and Nami Tamaki Suit up for Heroic Roles in Getter Robo Arc OP MV

  It's not easy being a hero, even if you've got the coolest mecha in town and a hot-blooded theme song backing you up. Anison supergroup JAM Project acknowledges that in the music video for their latest song, "Bloodlines ~Unmei no Ketto~" — the OP theme for this summer's Getter Robo Arc.

  The theme, penned by group center Hironobu Kageyama, is set to a short film about two exhausted superheroes called on once more to defend the world. The pair are played by anison big hitters in their own rights: Shuhei Kita (themes for Battle Spirits Burning Soul and Natsume Yujin-cho) and Nami Tamaki (themes for Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and D.Gray-man). Both are coping with the constant call to battle in their own way, but the latest threat is too big to ignore.

  Check out the MV, including JAM Project's powerful performance, Kita and Tamaki in cool super-suits, and an enormous on-fire skeleton monster:

    JAM Project ("JAM" standing for "Japanese Animationsong Makers") was formed in 2000 by anison legend Ichiro Mizuki, and is currently comprised of Kageyama, Masaaki Endoh, Yoshiki Fukuyama, Hiroshi Kitadani, and Masami Okui, with other members coming and going over the years. While JAM Project has provided themes for many different anime, they tend toward giant robot anime, and are a mainstay of the Super Robot Wars video game series.

Okay, so, at work, we have this little rewards system where if you complete additional trainings, as well as just helping the store's loyalty scores, you earn points. These points, when amassed, may be exchanged for items on the loyalty shop. And no, it's not just bland things like gift cards or a free store item, it's cool stuff.

I'm talking diamond earrings, designer brands and top notch equipment cool stuff!

Anyways, it took me the better part of a year, but I managed to finally save up my trainings/loyalty points, and now? I bought a brand new Nintendo Switch. i paid nothing. Paid $0.00

Anywas, it arrived, I set it up, but while I could transfer my account from my Switch Lite to the new one, I couldn't transfer my main save, since it was on a guest user (I tried so many methods, but nothing works). So? I said 'screw it, I'm starting again'.

So I started BoTW over again, and when I say that my first tower after the Plateau was Central Hyrule, the one with all the guardians? I mean it.

Also, i was just trying to get to a stable, and i kid you not, I ran into Zelda's horse on freaking ACCIDENT. First horse registered is the white mare, and on top of that, Satori appeared on the night I caught her, so.... the game likes me today I guess?

(Also I did the shrine next to Satori's mountain, the one with the swings? Didn't fall off the swings, got them first try, didn't even die until I accidentally stepped off the flooring, and it was only a lack of arrows that stopped me finishing the shrine straight off the plateau)

So, I've freed all the divine beasts, recovered all but one of the memories, completed 107 shrines and found who knows how many Korok seeds

But I still have not managed to kill a lynel, and thus am a bit scared to face Ganon because there is no way a lynel is worse than the freaking calamity, right?

.....why are the BLIGHTS easier than a stupid lynel?

Honestly, I don't think Sonia will get a chance too, but it's probably for the best. I feel like between the two of them, Sonia is the one most likely to start giving someone the shovel talk, and a terrifying one at that!

Game ways, having Link have toi tame and ride a deer to find a shrine is a cool little challenge

In universe though, I am very curious as to why the Sheikah thought that this would be at all necessary for the hero to be able to do? Like, okay, maybe the 10K hero was a bi of a jokester or wildling, most Links are after all, but I'm seeing one of two scenarios for why this is the requirement for the shrine

The 10K hero himself suggested it. You want only the hero to be able to enter here? Well I'm the only person who tries riding deer, no chance anyone else would try and do that. There's not deer in every place? Okay, but what about in just one?!?!?! It would be really funny!

The Sheikah who designed the shrines took one look at the 10K hero/the heroes across time and went "yeah, that something he would do" and at first maybe it was kinda a thing like "look at this feral freak" but after a while, it became a joke as they began to be like "look at OUR feral little freak! he tames deer!"

Sorry, I just spent like two hours chasing deer and am having thoughts as a result XD

My gosh, he was actually listening to his daughter all along! He paid enough attention to remember, after 100 years, how she said it would work. He did listen!

Granted, he wasn't a great father, but this kinda leads me to think that was more because the world on his shoulders was crushing him and not because he didn't care about her

Have I mentioned that I adore Urbosa's laugh?

I defeated the thunder blight in Vah Naboris, and to tell you I was thrumming all through Urbosa's speech- and, well, all of Urbosa's everything- would be an understatement!

But her laugh! She has such a beautiful laugh! And voice, but her laugh makes me feel things. I love her, your honour <3
