Sniper target 11, 29, 54, 67, 77
11 - Who is the most physically affectionate? Aitreo is definitely physically affectionate, and I think Ketana would be too, if he allowed himself to be, but he's not ready for that just yet.
-
29 - What do they do after a hard day at work? Probably compare kills in a bit of a dick measuring contest, trying to outdo each other or just annoy each other in some kind of way.
-
54 - What do others think of them dating? I know for sure that Ciidii thinks this is a TERRIBLE IDEA, and she's not entirely wrong! But nobody knows about it yet.
I feel like Lammek and Nakaou would probably be shocked about it? General vibes say that people would probably think this is not a good match up, and the way Ketana is right now that's true, but with a bit of time, I think they could make it work.
-
67 - Who is the forgetful one? I think they both have their moments of forgetfulness, but generally speaking they're both pretty attentive !
-
77 - Do either of them have secrets even the other doesn’t know? SO FUCKKEN MANY! I mean, they have so many work related things alone that they can't talk about with anybody else, because you know... NDA and self protection and so on, but that's only the tip of the iceberg.
There's a lot of things they can't tell to each other, and just as many that they can't tell to anybody, no matter how much trust there is, and I think a lot of it has to do with Ketana's family and Aitreo's past...

Uggghhh, what is UP with Canada?!
In Vancouver, the Schara Tzedeck synagogue's windows were smashed on April 19th.
In Toronto on April 19, five windows at the Kehillat Shaarei Torah synagogue were smashed with a hammer.
In Toronto on April 26, someone set a sign on fire at Beth Tikvah Synagogue....
....And again on April 28.
In Toronto in May, Jewish community members started escorting a kid to school because he was being bullied by peers who told him, "We're going to do to you what Hamas did to Israel," pushed him, kicked him, threw stones at him, and told him, "we need to kill you." This had been going on for six months. (His family had gone to both the school and police repeatedly at this point and it had only escalated; the kids throwing stones at him on the way to school was new.)
In Toronto on May 17th, Kehillat Shaarei Torah's windows were smashed again.
Tumblr media
On May 25th before dawn, two people shot at Bais Chaya Muska, a Jewish girls' school in Toronto.
On May 29th, in the middle of the night, someone shot at the Belz Yeshiva Ketana school in Montreal.
In Vancouver on May 30, someone poured fuel on the doors of the Schara Tzedeck synagogue, then firebombed them.
In an article on June 7, Rabbi Lisa Grushcow of Emanu-El-Beth Sholom synagogue in Montreal said people have yelled “Hitler was right!” and “Jew!” at her congregants as they arrive for Shabbat services and that Jewish kids are being bullied in local schools.
On June 1 in Toronto, a man smashed the window of the Anshei Minsk synagogue with a rock.
On June 3 in Kitchener, someone smashed the front door of Beth Jacob synagogue.
On June 19th in Montreal, three small bullet-like holes were somehow made in the windows of Falafel Yoni. (I don't know, all the articles go out of their way to say they don't know WHAT made the holes.) Falafel Yoni is owned by a Jewish man who was born in Israel, and has appeared on boycott lists despite the owner never having said anything political about Israel.
On the same day, down the street from Falafel Yoni, someone smashed the windows of a nearby gym whose co-owner is Jewish and had also been born in Israel.
On June 30 in Toronto, someone threw stones at the Pride of Israel synagogue, then at Kehillat Shaarei Torah, smashing windows (again) in the latter.
On the weekend of July 27th, a father and son in Toronto were arrested for planning a terrorist attack and murder on behalf of ISIL, which is wild.
On July 29th, someone torched a bus belonging to the Bobov Hassidic school in Toronto.
And smashed the windows of a DIFFERENT Jewish school in Toronto, Leo Baeck Jewish Day School, and set it on fire.
On July 31 in Toronto, guess which synagogue had three signs set on fire? That's right: Kehillat Shaarei Torah.
Plus one sign set afire at Toronto's Temple Sinai Congregation the same night, presumably by the same arsonist, who might even have been the stone-hurler of June 30.
There are probably ones I missed. Just putting this list together took like three hours, though. I kept having to go, "Wait, surely that can't be the same synagogue AGAIN" and "they only mention the closest major intersection, which one was this?!" and "that can't be a different one, how many windows did they smash??" and go look for more sources. Plus a couple of articles were giving conflicting dates for one of the incidents.
And nobody ever gives actual dates, they just say shit like, "Blah blah blah was reported Monday...." so I have to look at the article date and then look at a damn calendar.
I went back as far as April because everything I found was referring to earlier incidents. Back to April. February and March were relatively quiet, at least in the news. Although interestingly, February is when the most hate crimes in Toronto had been reported, at least as of ... oh, I see.
As of March.
On the bright side, I did discover that Kehillat Shaarei Torah consistently has great jokes on its sign.

The little sister - her prayers she prepares and proclaims her praises. O God, please, heal now her ailments. Let the year and its curses conclude!
With pleasant words she calls upon You, and with song and raises, for such befits You.
Why do you avert Your eyes? Look! Enemies devour her heritage! Let the year and its curses conclude!
Tend Your sheep that the lions dispersed, and pour Your wrath upon those who say 'Destroy;'
Your right hand's foundation-vine they have breached; and plucked [its fruit] not even leaving her tiny grapes. Let the year and its curses conclude!
Stand her up from degradation to lofty majesty, for in the pit of exile her soul had been melted.
Let the year and its curses conclude!
When the basest are elevated her heart is outpoured; among the poorest of the poor are her dwellings.
When will You raise up Your daughter from the pit; and from the dungeon, [will You] break her yoke? May You act wondrously when You go forth like a hero, to bring an end and conclusion to her ailments. Let the year and its curses conclude!
Be strong and rejoice for the plunder is ended; place hope in the Rock and keep His covenant. You will ascend to Zion and He will say: Pave! Pave her paths. Let the year and its blessings begin!
This is a 13th century poem by Rabbi Abraham Hazan Girundi of Spain. It's traditionally sung in Sephardic services on Erev Rosh Hashanah. Given how crappy 5784 was for world Jewry, it feels weird to be celebrating a sweet new year right now. The repeating stanza, "Let the year and its curses conclude!" really resonated with me. Maybe it will resonate with you too.

New Years are strange and interesting times.  We’re thoroughly sick of the old year, with all the stress and pain and heartbreak it brought us . . . but we’re still excited to see a fresh new year begin.  Even after everything that life can throw at us, we still want more of it, and we look forward to new opportunities.
The sixteenth-century piyyut “Achot Ketana” kind of captures this duality, and this is a really beautiful, comforting setting of it from the Yemenite tradition.

The Most Heartening Friends' Meet-up Ever
Kuchela alsoknown as Sudama is a childhood friend of Krishna. They were classmates at Sandipani Maharshi's ashramam. But upon reaching adulthood, Krishna became the ruler of Dvaraka, and Sudama remained an impoverished villager. His wife implored him to meet his old friend and request for some financial assistance.
He sets out to Dwaraka with a bundle of rice flakes. Krishna and Rukmini welcome him with so much love and treat him royally, which embarassed him. He doesn't mention anything about his situation or the gift of rice flakes. The poem mentioned in the post deals with their casual conversation.
But all knowing Krishna asks for rice flakes and Rukmini stops him from eating too much. Kuchelan returns to his home after some time, without asking for anything. But he is amazed when he reaches his village for his home have been conveyed to a palace with a lot of riches. He and his wife enjoy their newly found wealth and status with humility.
This Kathakali performance based on the story of Krishna and Kuchela is called "Kuchelavritham"

Moshe Abady's 4 Insights into the Principal's Responsibility
In the ever-evolving landscape of education, the role of a principal is pivotal. Rabbi Moshe Abady, with his extensive background in both Judaic and General Studies, offers profound insights into the responsibilities of a principal. Drawing from his experience transforming Tashbar Sephardic Yeshiva Ketana into a thriving mainstream Yeshiva, Rabbi Abady’s principles are both timeless and timely.
1. Creating a Nurturing Environment
One of the foundational responsibilities of a principal, according to Rabbi Abady, is fostering a nurturing and supportive environment. A school must be a haven where students feel valued and cared for. Rabbi Abady emphasizes that when students are emotionally secure, they are more likely to engage in learning and develop a love for education. This involves not only addressing academic needs but also being attentive to the emotional and social well-being of each student.
2. Striving for Excellence in Education
Excellence in education, for Rabbi Abady, is non-negotiable. He believes that a principal must set high standards for both Judaic and General Studies, ensuring that the curriculum is rigorous and comprehensive. This commitment to excellence requires continuous evaluation and enhancement of teaching methods and materials. Rabbi Abady’s approach at Maimonides Academy, where he integrated technology into instruction, showcases how innovative methods can elevate educational standards and student engagement.
3. Personal Growth and Professional Development
Moshe Abady stresses the importance of personal growth and professional development for both students and staff. A principal should encourage a culture of continuous learning, providing opportunities for teachers to enhance their skills and knowledge. This, in turn, inspires students to pursue their growth. By investing in professional development, principals ensure that their staff remains motivated and equipped to provide the best education possible.
4. Community Building
Building a strong school community is another key responsibility. Rabbi Abady believes that a sense of community fosters collaboration, respect, and shared values. Engaging parents, teachers, and students in school activities and decision-making processes helps create a cohesive environment. Rabbi Abady’s efforts in creating a warm and caring school culture at Tashbar Sephardic Yeshiva Ketana highlight the significance of community in achieving educational success.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Rabbi Moshe Abady’s insights into the responsibilities of a principal are rooted in his rich experience and dedication to education. By focusing on nurturing environments, striving for educational excellence, promoting personal and professional growth, and building strong communities, principals can lead their schools to greater heights.

Nmm.. The only two I can think together you don't know about my guy/he doesnt have a bio.. However- Just for a why not silly idea, Clay and Ketana
Quad Shipping Meme
Clay has his pale and technically black open so we'll do those. Pale:
1) … rate the ship:
pls N O | not shipping it | nah | maybe | I WISH it’d work | yasss | I ship it | wOW PLEASE!
2) How I think they would/wouldn't work:
They both have walls up but I feel like that sense of a need for control and their perfectionist natures are something that they could have together. Not to mention both of them are sadistic, they don't have to worry about taking anger out on each other cause if anything they can bond over taking it out on someone else. I would like Clay to have a moirail even if they just encourage each other's bad habits. lol The very least it'd be good for him to have someone else to talk to and not shoulder his burdens on his matesprit.
Black:
1) … rate the ship:
pls N O | not shipping it | nah | maybe | I WISH it’d work | yasss | I ship it | wOW PLEASE!
2) How I think they would/wouldn't work:
This one I'm not too sure. Clay is a very very picky man and it's hard to teeter the line between him having black feelings and wanting to just kill someone, but maybe Ketana could do it? I feel like they can both have tension in a sort of way where they both demand respect, but Clay isn't one to really care about caste status as much as he does his fleet rank. So if Ketana is a hemoist or something that would prompt Clay to have a disdain for him, but also Clay would think himself better than Ketana because he has rank and would see Ketana as just a rogue hitman (unless I'm misunderstanding Ketana's profile and he's in the fleet too?). I was supposed to make this short but now I'm 🤨.
