First began with darkness.

It wasn't always dark, no. You're pretty sure you're capable of seeing more than just the absolute darkness you're currently seeing in your vision. You can't quite remember how you got to this point, but you do know that you need to wake up. You can't stay like this.

Slowly, your consciousness started to return to you. How you lost it? You hope you'd remember. For now, you'll need to first get a hold of yourself before anything else.

It was a struggle to open your eyes and you mentally pat yourself in the back when you were able to. Your eyelids still felt a little heavy and it took a few more blinks before your brain could register you were actually awake and coordinated to express so.

"...ke!... Oh!..."

You still felt a little out of it. You could barely tell that there was actually someone speaking to you.

"Imp... ki... e...."

Once again, you force yourself to wake up. Snap out of it. Wake up.

"Please wake up or else Impulse is actually going to kill me!"

You inhaled sharply, your chest rising from the greedy intake of air you took as your eyes snapped open. You squinted and squeaked in pain when you were immediately met with the sun, half-relieved when something loomed over you to cover it.

When you opened your eyes once again, your vision wasn't met with the sun this time. Instead, a young boy with a face of panic.

"Oh gods! You're not dead!" he had said.

You zoned out and didn't reply immediately. Your mind still a little muddled from the unconsciousness you forcefully pulled yourself out of. It was then that your head started to feel painful.

You grit your teeth and stiffly brought a hand up in an attempt to massage the numbing pain away. But before you could, another hand had already made its way to the side of your head and tried to soothe whatever pain you were experiencing. It was almost concerning that they seemed aware of where it seemed to hurt. They even made a pained looking face like they could feel the numbing injury.

"Oof... I'm really in big trouble now," he hissed and pulled his hand away, moving his dark eyes to make eye contact with yours.

"Uh, you didn't get amnesia or anything from that, did you?" he asked worriedly, "Because I really don't want to explain to Xisuma how I caused brain damage to a passerby while I was out and about."

You blinked at him confusingly and didn't respond. The reaction caused him to look even more terrified, but he suppressed it easily enough to make it seem like he was more worried than fearful.

He sighed, "I'm definitely gonna lose outside privileges after this," you heard them mumble.

It was then that you decide to ask:

"Am I in heaven?"

The person looming over you had a brief look of surprise that slowly turned to one of amusement and exasperation.

They are different mangas with different authors. They don’t have to end the same way at all -and knowing horikoshi disliked the ending, it makes even less sense.

It’s canon that Katsuki really, really dislikes attention from girls and doesn’t pay them any mind at all, to the point of not having even moments with any that could count as lazy romance. Who tf is he picking?

The popular ships in Japan according to polls when n*ruto was going on were exactly the ones that became canon as far as I know so even if in the west it made little sense for many, they were justified and liked my at least a big part of the Japanese audience.

All of the “you hurt my loved one and now I need to kill you” moments were exclusively with Katsuki being targeted (with this I mean he loses the ability to hold this back. With others he is able to at least maintain some sanity even if it hurts him personally); in n*ruto, as far as I know, there are moments like that with Sas*ke and Hin*ta being the targets making the protagonist lose control. The most similar situation was when Himiko stabbed Ochako in front of him and he was worried about leaving when there’s such an unpredictable character, but it was more about wanting to make sure she is okay. In Katsuki’s case, it always make him more rude and impatient + lose self control when things get too serious, going against his own ideals.

LGBTQ+ Disabled Characters Showdown Round 2, Wave 3, Poll 10

A character being totally canon LGBTQ+ and disabled was not required to be in this competition. Please check qualifications and propaganda before asking why a character is included.

Wen Kexing-Faraway Wanderers / Tian Ya Ke

Qualifications:

1. The LGBTQ+ part: he is canonically a gay man. (Though he does not identify by this specific word due to being from, yknow, fantasy ancient China, he is very vocal about only having interest in men / not having interest in women.) He is also one half of the main (canon, mlm) couple in the book. 2. Disability part: he has complex PTSD, with dissociative symptoms being most prominent. It's not articulated as clearly as the gay part, but there's a lot of textual evidence. For example, for his bouts of dissociation, he has a clear trigger - thinking or talking about personal loss (mostly his initial traumatic event, brutal murder of his parents when he was a child, but at least once it was fear of losing his partner), - and there's a very distinctive way the author describes it: "far-off gaze", "blank" expression or eyes, being "in a daze"/"dazed" were all words used more than once in those situations. He also exhibits symptoms of depersonalization, especially in contexts of violence. The one that made it click for me was a moment when someone was striking to kill him while he couldn't defend himself, and he was described as being calm "as if the one about to die was not himself", but there are also smaller hints, like several times he is described as 'fighting as if he doesn't notice pain and exhaustion' - which I would not take as evidence on its own, but tied in to other dissociative moments of his... yeah. 3. Last thing, in case you aren't sure PTSD/dissociative disorder should count as a disability, I want to make my argument that it should, as it noticeably impacts the character's quality of life. Both continuously (he mentions, for example, sleep problems/insomnia - that clearly stem from his traumatic experiences) and at specific moments (like that time he started dissociating in the middle of the battlefield, nearly resulting in him getting killed........)

Propaganda:

Okay, imagine a classical Chinese martial arts story. Young orphan meets a mysterious master, who imparts all his knowledge upon him; the boy trains hard and challenges various villains, until making it all the way to the final boss who was behind everything. Now, imagine if, in the very beginning of this story, the final boss accidentally ran into that mysterious master. And became suspicious of him. And began following him under pretense of falling in love with him at first sight. And then fell for him for real. And then they had adventures and also started co-parenting that young orphan.

THAT is the plot of Tian Ya Ke. And the final boss in question? Well, that's Wen Kexing I'm submitting! And yes, Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu - the aforementioned mysterious master and the main character of TYK - are a canon couple. Wen Kexing in particular is very, ah, out and loud gay. Gay and making it everyone else's problem even. So that's the LGBTQ+ part. (Also they are SUCH a couple. They're so funny! The whole circus! And then they do something and you are like oh yeah right. each of them is a villain of a different story. Good thing they decided to play house instead.) On the disability front, Wen Kexing has mental health stuff - to be specific, complex PTSD with signs of dissociative disorder. I'm not gonna describe his wide array of traumatic experiences on the form because it needs SO many trigger warnings, but the important part is how those impacted him. For example, he mentions having sleep problems/insomnia due to fear. (Which made the fandom lose our shit once we connected it to the earlier moment where he, in a vulnerable state, drags himself to Zhou Zishu's side and falls asleep on his lap. The! Trust! That! Shows!) He also dissociates frequently when thinking/talking about his initial traumatic event. Which is my favorite part of the portrayal of his PTSD because... you know how there's this trend in media with superpowers/magic when the character's trauma response is portrayed through their powers, like their powers going out of control? And TYK went 'yeah, no, when /our/ OP final boss has a ptsd flare up, he just dissociates like a normal person'. (and I, a normal person who also copes by dissociating, was like 'i owe u my life'.) Also, I think it's great that not all of his episodes are plot relevant. Like, in four out of five cases it's just something that happens (the narration / pov character makes note of it), and then the scene moves on - so it feels like a feature of his character, as opposed to a plot devise for creating situations. And the one case where it does happen in an action moment - when Wen Kexing gets revenge on the person responsible for his initial trauma and promptly starts dissociating in the middle of the battlefield, and someone else has to step in to prevent him from getting killed by other enemies - kinda highlights the disability aspect, imo. Like, it shows that PTSD creates barriers for him where a person without it wouldn't have any.

Anything Else?:

1. It's a Chinese novel, so character names are written down with surname first. So Wen Kexing = surname Wen + given name Kexing. 2. There's a live action adaptation of this novel, called Shan He Ling / Word of Honor, but it's uh. well. The portrayal of Wen Kexing's trauma and PTSD in it is. Bad. 'Completely butchered everything I thought was refreshing about it in the novel' bad. (please understand i hate everything about the adaptation and am barely refraining from infodumping about how much I deplore it here) So if WKX makes it into the tournament and none of the images I sent work for u, pls at least don't use the live-action version? He is practically a different character there!

Qualifications:

Vader cuts off his hand in The Empire Strikes Back and he's very commonly portrayed as gay and/or aro in fanon. I think he might have been quietly confirmed as bi in some of the new canon novels but I'm not super familiar with OT-era EU material.

I was inspired of course by @charactersmashorpass / @charactersmashorpass-2 but also @smashingorpassing and especially @ace-attorney-smash-or-pass who put the fandom specificity idea in my head.

Please only interact (this includes submitting characters) if you are 18 or older. If you're part of a system, this has to be true both for all fronters at the time of any given interaction and for the body. All polls will run for a week, if one doesn't I posted it wrong and you're free to point it out.

Rules for character submissions:

Has to be from a licensed Star Trek medium. Beta canon is fine, OCs are not. Unless it's very funny, then I might make a (rare!) exception.

They don't have to be a major character or even appear more than once but it'd be good if there was enough canon information for people to make an informed decision. Having a canon appearance (that isn't super blurry) would almost always fulfil this requirement but you may have to provide an image yourself.

It is not a requirement for it to be feasible to have sex with them. If you wanna fuck a non-corporeal character, we'll assume you'd figure out a way. It will be assumed they also really wanna try to have sex with you if you choose smash.

Controversially, I will not have a universal minimum age but they do have to pass the Harkness test which includes being of sexual maturity for their species (tho I'll rule they also have to be of more general maturity for their species, some real life humans become "sexually mature" before their teens but that doesn't mean you should fuck them; characters from asexually reproducing species will ofc only be judged on overall maturity). If their age is unknown or it's unknown when their species would be considered mature, I will consider the way the narrative treats them. So TL;DR: Kes is fine, Zero is not.

(As an extension of this, artificial life forms designed to function like adults will not be disqualified based on how long they've been active while artificial life forms designed to emulate children/minors will never qualify. Where this line is drawn in unclear cases will be decided by me on a case by case basis. So the EMH is fine, Lal is not.)

(recently adjusted) If the character is shown at different life stages within one series, I will judge based on the one people are most likely to think of when they think of that character (eg Jake and Nog are not acceptable) and if they are to be considered from another series where they are an adult, they have to be at least a recurring character in it, very small narrative roles and cameos do not count. As a rule of thumb: if someone only watching the show where they're an adult would remember them after, that's probably okay. So Prodigy!Wes is fine, Picard!Wes is not.

That said, you are allowed to submit specific versions of a character, including alternate timeline versions, if they pass all other requirements, eg you can submit specifically Solid Odo or Dilf Harry from the episode Timeless, but you still can't submit adult Naomi from Shattered.

I reserve the right to reject any submission, especially if I have reason to believe it was made in bad faith, but other than that scenario I don't think this is likely to happen.

How did you find out about Peter Platter? I found out about him when I was watching one of my favorite youtubers, Jessie Vee she made a video about characters that scared people as kids, and he was on there. I thought he was cool! So I searched the show up more and then I liked it way more! A few weeks ago, I started liking the show way more, and my bff started liking it too!

I found out about him about on like July, August, or September.

i found about about peter back in March 8, 2023 via seeing the same Jessii Vee video that he was in that u saw and i ended up being soooo intrigued that i was thinking "OMG I THINK HES KINDA CUTE!! (platonically)" and i started drawing fanart of him (in that same time i made chromatic scale of him which were meant for fnf related things even though it is outdated now).

a month later: i made a picmix gif of him and wally (which was the gif that inspired you to make fanart of them) due to the fact that i headcanon the 2 to be friends with eachother as my devotion to him became bigger and bigger

july: i made another picmix collage (which was a heathers movie parody idea) and it had wally as heather chandler, bugbo as heather duke, peter as heather mcnamara and gradient joe as veronica sawyer (i recommend the heathers movie and/or the musical version, IT'S REALLY WONDERFUL!)

October: i started posting stuff (like edits) mostly of him on tumblr. (made a better, updated version of said fnf chromatic scale of him)

November: i made reference sheets of 2 ocs who were meant to be fangirls of him

December: my devotion for peter became EVEN MORE bigger when i made that shrine of him.. (i'm not sure if anything else happened after that month besides literal posting some poll about him and a bunch of other things..)

Goodbye, Amino

Amino will always have a large part of my heart. I was an active member for 7 years, and the idea of leaving physically pains me. I will always remember the Golden Age, when 5 new posts popped up with each refreshing of the page, and there were near a hundred people online at a time. 

Unfortunately, we are long past that. If you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you’re coming from Pagans & Witches Amino and want to know why I left. 

The first nail was the decline. Our most active members used to be experienced witches & pagans, and discussion at an intermediate or advanced level was common. The feed was full of great information, often including personal paradigms and paths built over years of experience. There was diversity; everyone talked about the differences in their beliefs and the different ways they connected to magic, to energy, to gods. P&W was a place of learning for all levels, where we knew each other and felt like a community. But now, we feel like a forum. Many of our experienced members have left, so discussions have dried up. Most conversations are now delegated to the beginners who ask basic questions and share their excitement over their first steps. Nuance has been lost, because beginners are still learning the black and white areas. We give lip service to the different ways of doing witchcraft, but because the beginners don’t have their paradigms yet, the discussion goes no further. It no longer feels like an app for everyone, but rather it feels like it’s an app for beginners. As much as I love answering questions and helping people find their footing, when it comes to my own questions and wanting to broaden my knowledge, I find there is no one to talk to. 

The second nail was the shrinking of the community. In 2022, we gained over 4,000 new members. In 2023, we gained 1,064 new members. In these five months of 2024, we have a net increase of 172 members; we are on track to gain ~350 new members by the end of the year. 

The third nail was leadership. Because of the commitment and subsequent burnout, we tend to go through admins in “eras”. The Golden Age was still the original leadership, long before they burned out. While there were minor changes as people stepped down, it mostly stayed the same and was made of kind, fair people. Issues were dealt with quickly, and leadership was often active in the chatrooms, building rapport and letting us get to know them. When they stepped down, the next era was rife with favoritism and drama. They stayed in their private chats, and often allowed their personal feelings to determine if someone was breaking the rules. After people were forced to step down, we now have this third era who’s defining trait so far is being paranoid of repeating the second era’s mistakes. They have become bureaucratic to the point of ineptitude. Everything must be brought before the entire team for them to discuss, slowing everything down. 

My moment of realization was when I suggested a poll that could identify what people wanted to get out of Amino; were they looking for information, community, or purely a place to ask questions? I was more than willing to make it, post it, and share the results with leadership. When I sent the link to leadership for review, they informed me this poll would be better suited for their team to present. They would credit me, of course, but it still left a bad taste; I had done similar polls before (within the last couple of months, actually) and never had a problem. I gave them permission, and I am still waiting for the poll to be posted to Amino. It’s been two months. 

(Honorable mention to being told that a post containing misinformation could not be taken down due to the OP saying it was a conpantheon deity. The post in question claimed this deity was a previously undiscovered deity of the Greek pantheon who ruled over…-checks notes- Polyamory, albinism, and harems; none of those topics make sense in a Greek deity’s domain.) 

I will keep all my posts up on Amino, but I have already stepped down from my chat host position. I would love to see a Renaissance, but right now I think Pagans & Witches Amino is heading towards a gradual death. As I said, I will always love it, and while I cannot bring myself to uninstall the app, I think it is time for me to move on.

The NSFW one has a poll at the end - which is just asking if people are generally interested in a NSFW stuff. If it is a resounding no, then I won't bother writing it. So yeah, vote on that if you have the time! You might need to message me about how to view it (it's a setting that needs to be set), as it might be hidden due to it being tagged as 'Mature Content' that way minors can't interact with it. Next week we will continue where we left off. :)

Ruth's POV

Ruth awoke to the sound of feet moving within the room he was in. As he opened his eyes, he felt a small pain in his back from falling asleep while sitting up. He blinked a few times, trying to get rid of the morning fog in his brain as he tried to recall why he had fallen asleep on a chair instead of his bed. It didn’t take him long to realize why though, as he looked around the room, and found the source of the noise as well.

Aria was standing in the room a few steps away from him, although her attention was focused on something else. For a moment, Ruth was entranced by Aria as she stood there, the light from the window shining, eliminating her frame. If he wasn’t feeling the small pain in his back, he would have thought this was a dream.

After a moment, Ruth shook his head slightly, bringing his focus back. Once he was focused again, he followed her gaze, landing on a magical item he had been working on at one point, although he was never able to get it to work quite right. Ruth watched as she took a few steps towards it, reaching her hand out.

‘Is she going to touch it?’ Ruth thought to himself as he watched her for a moment longer, before realizing she indeed was going to.

“I wouldn’t touch that,” Ruth warned as he stood up from the chair, his joints protesting as he did so. His previous night of sleeping sitting in a chair proving to have caused some issues for him. For the moment though, he ignored it as he reached his hand out, grabbing onto her wrist, stopping her from moving her hand closer to the object.

Ruth took another small step forward, closing some of the distance between them before Aria turned her head towards him, whispering his name in acknowledgement. She must not have realized how close they were, as once she turned to face him, her face started to flush before she stammered over an apology to him.

"I'm... I'm sorry," she stammered. "I didn't mean to wake you up," she said as she pulled her hand back from his – but she didn’t move back. As wrist slid from his grasp, he noticed the change in the atmosphere in the room. It made him think back to what Jasper had said during their conversation the previous night. At the time, he pushed it off, not really believing in it. Could the atmosphere in the room just be in his mind? He felt as if there was a longing and excitement lingering in the room - although that could be his own.

As he looked at Aria closer now, with the feeling in the room, he felt like he would do anything just to have her reciprocate his feelings. Even just a little bit. He would give anything for it. His heart started to accelerate as his mind reeled. The light coming in the window seemed to be shining off her skin now – which Ruth knew wasn’t possible, but it seemed like it at this moment.

As the room stayed silent, Ruth wanted nothing more than to feel the gentle warmth of her lips against his. Without realizing, Ruth whispered her name, surprising himself. His voice was dripping with longing as he whispered her name.

‘I shouldn’t be doing this…’ he thought to himself as they held gazes with each other. ‘But…’ Ruth thought. Maybe just maybe, Jasper was speaking the truth?

“Do you trust me?” Ruth questioned in a whisper.

Ruth watched as she opened her mouth to reply, but nothing came out. She then nodded, which gave Ruth the last push he needed.

“Please... Stop me if you don’t want this,” he whispered, as he gently lifted his hand, placing it underneath her chin, tilting it up slightly. As he did so, he felt time slow down around him. As she fluttered her eyes closed, Ruth waited for a moment. This was his last chance. He could stop now, and not cross a line that would possibly ruin things between them.

Despite his concerns, Ruth leaned in, gently grazing their lips together at first – and he waited for her to pull away. He waited for any sign that he was currently going too far. But that never came. He then felt a cascade of emotions rushing through him. He deepened the kiss, his greed taking over for a moment. Ruth felt as if he could get drunk off this moment, although he wouldn’t mind the repercussions of it. He didn’t want it to stop.

As Ruth started to run out of breath, he reluctantly pulled back. As Ruth opened his eyes, his gaze met with hers again, and he was struck with the realization of what just happened. His mind reeled again – and he started to feel bad. He hadn’t even asked her.

“Sorry…” Ruth whispered as he caught his breath, his hand falling from beneath her chin. “I shouldn’t ha-“ he started, but he was cut off. Before he knew it, Aria had closed the gap between them again. She gently placed a kiss on his lips before whispering.

“Please… Don’t apologize.”

Ruth let out a soft chuckle as he processed what was said. He felt his greed come back. His mind focused on her last words; he wanted nothing more than to get drunk off kissing her. He almost missed the sound of the knocking coming from down the stairs.

The two stood still for a moment, before the knock repeated after a few seconds, causing Ruth to sigh.

“If they are interrupting me for nothing important...” Ruth whispered – not finishing the rest of his sentence aloud. He felt as if he would kill the person – although he knew that he wouldn’t. “Who is it anyway?” he questioned, pushing the idea of murder out of his mind as he walked towards the window to see who it was.

Mille Roper-The Arcadia Project

Qualifications:

She has BPD, which is a rarely represented disorder as it is, and is also a quadruple amputee, and she's one of the best characters with BPD I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. She is also canonically bisexual!

GODDDDDD Millie she is one of my favorite bisexual, borderline, and amputee characters ever and when it comes to bi and BPD rep, she reminds me frankly of myself....I love her so much I need to reread borderline

Wen Kexing-Faraway Wanderers / Tian Ya Ke

Qualifications:

1. The LGBTQ+ part: he is canonically a gay man. (Though he does not identify by this specific word due to being from, yknow, fantasy ancient China, he is very vocal about only having interest in men / not having interest in women.) He is also one half of the main (canon, mlm) couple in the book. 2. Disability part: he has complex PTSD, with dissociative symptoms being most prominent. It's not articulated as clearly as the gay part, but there's a lot of textual evidence. For example, for his bouts of dissociation, he has a clear trigger - thinking or talking about personal loss (mostly his initial traumatic event, brutal murder of his parents when he was a child, but at least once it was fear of losing his partner), - and there's a very distinctive way the author describes it: "far-off gaze", "blank" expression or eyes, being "in a daze"/"dazed" were all words used more than once in those situations. He also exhibits symptoms of depersonalization, especially in contexts of violence. The one that made it click for me was a moment when someone was striking to kill him while he couldn't defend himself, and he was described as being calm "as if the one about to die was not himself", but there are also smaller hints, like several times he is described as 'fighting as if he doesn't notice pain and exhaustion' - which I would not take as evidence on its own, but tied in to other dissociative moments of his... yeah. 3. Last thing, in case you aren't sure PTSD/dissociative disorder should count as a disability, I want to make my argument that it should, as it noticeably impacts the character's quality of life. Both continuously (he mentions, for example, sleep problems/insomnia - that clearly stem from his traumatic experiences) and at specific moments (like that time he started dissociating in the middle of the battlefield, nearly resulting in him getting killed........)

Propaganda:

Okay, imagine a classical Chinese martial arts story. Young orphan meets a mysterious master, who imparts all his knowledge upon him; the boy trains hard and challenges various villains, until making it all the way to the final boss who was behind everything. Now, imagine if, in the very beginning of this story, the final boss accidentally ran into that mysterious master. And became suspicious of him. And began following him under pretense of falling in love with him at first sight. And then fell for him for real. And then they had adventures and also started co-parenting that young orphan.

THAT is the plot of Tian Ya Ke. And the final boss in question? Well, that's Wen Kexing I'm submitting! And yes, Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu - the aforementioned mysterious master and the main character of TYK - are a canon couple. Wen Kexing in particular is very, ah, out and loud gay. Gay and making it everyone else's problem even. So that's the LGBTQ+ part. (Also they are SUCH a couple. They're so funny! The whole circus! And then they do something and you are like oh yeah right. each of them is a villain of a different story. Good thing they decided to play house instead.) On the disability front, Wen Kexing has mental health stuff - to be specific, complex PTSD with signs of dissociative disorder. I'm not gonna describe his wide array of traumatic experiences on the form because it needs SO many trigger warnings, but the important part is how those impacted him. For example, he mentions having sleep problems/insomnia due to fear. (Which made the fandom lose our shit once we connected it to the earlier moment where he, in a vulnerable state, drags himself to Zhou Zishu's side and falls asleep on his lap. The! Trust! That! Shows!) He also dissociates frequently when thinking/talking about his initial traumatic event. Which is my favorite part of the portrayal of his PTSD because... you know how there's this trend in media with superpowers/magic when the character's trauma response is portrayed through their powers, like their powers going out of control? And TYK went 'yeah, no, when /our/ OP final boss has a ptsd flare up, he just dissociates like a normal person'. (and I, a normal person who also copes by dissociating, was like 'i owe u my life'.) Also, I think it's great that not all of his episodes are plot relevant. Like, in four out of five cases it's just something that happens (the narration / pov character makes note of it), and then the scene moves on - so it feels like a feature of his character, as opposed to a plot devise for creating situations. And the one case where it does happen in an action moment - when Wen Kexing gets revenge on the person responsible for his initial trauma and promptly starts dissociating in the middle of the battlefield, and someone else has to step in to prevent him from getting killed by other enemies - kinda highlights the disability aspect, imo. Like, it shows that PTSD creates barriers for him where a person without it wouldn't have any.

Anything Else?:

1. It's a Chinese novel, so character names are written down with surname first. So Wen Kexing = surname Wen + given name Kexing. 2. There's a live action adaptation of this novel, called Shan He Ling / Word of Honor, but it's uh. well. The portrayal of Wen Kexing's trauma and PTSD in it is. Bad. 'Completely butchered everything I thought was refreshing about it in the novel' bad. (please understand i hate everything about the adaptation and am barely refraining from infodumping about how much I deplore it here) So if WKX makes it into the tournament and none of the images I sent work for u, pls at least don't use the live-action version? He is practically a different character there!

Voters are giving a clear indication that they have belief in the electoral process and they are very participative.” He reiterated that criticisms are a part of the democratic process but the evidence of voter trust is clear. The press conference also saw the announcement of the Maharashtra and Jharkhand Assembly election schedules, along with bypolls for 47 Assembly seats and the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. When asked about the Jammu and Kashmir elections, Kumar delivered another poetic line, “Jamuriyat ke jashn me apki shirkat, duniya dekhegi napak iradon ke shikast ki kahani,” highlighting the participation in democracy and a message against malicious intentions.
