Here are some random doodles that I colored up. The top one is human Kervak. She seems like she is making some kind of trouble as always. To the right is PhoxnSparky 's character Red as a human. >> www.deviantart.com/phoxnsparky…Also there's a pick of Rita trying out a new outfit. I really like the idea of her wearing a hat now for some reason. LOL

"Don't lie to me. Your mind is like an open book." Akita Upsilon said as she took Kervak by the cheeks. Kervak felt powerless as the robot began probing her mind. Work has been really hard and I've had little time for art. I figured you guys needed something so I've tossed this together. Kervak meeting Peggy/Akita Upsilon.

PhoxnSparky and I made this awesome Kervak figure. I painted her up last night. She's been laying around unfinished for almost a year. Now she's ready for action! I just lover her so much! Phoxnsparky did such an awesome job on the sculpting. Painting her was really fun. She completely possible and her head is on a ball joint so she can look anywhere you want her to. Her tail has a wire in it so you can move it around too.  The American flag on her arm was on the soldier toy I used to make her, I thought that it would be cool to leave it on her sleeve. I added the made in USA because Kervak was made in the US. LOL  (The background behind her is my computer monitor with a scifi backdrop on it. It works quite well for photographs)

Someone thought it was a good idea to shove Kervak into the lake for a joke. However I don't think she found it funny at all.

After months and months of deep thought, I've made the switch from graphic novel to novel and I feel it's really helping the story. The worlds will feel much bigger and it will greatly deepen the story. It also has a more realistic feel to it for some reason. Here is a test Illustration I did for my Super Strike novels. I'm currently writing book one and have just started on Relic.

Here is a sketch of Kervak's human parents who helped raise her to be a good Gurk. You can see where Kervak got her style of dress from too. Lots of leather and buckles.

Below is a short story of Kervak meeting her real Mother Not her human foster parents. The old Gurk looked at Kervak. "So this is what you've made of yourself. A big ol' ship like this. On the up and up with the authorities. Your doing quite well." Kervak stared at her her mouth hanging slightly open. Her pistol was drawn and aimed at the old Gurks head. Her brows twitched in anger. "You abandon me to humans? Every Gurk I come across think humans evil yet my mother leave me vith them? Did you just vant to get rid of me?!" "They are not evil. They just don't like Gurks. Do you think I would have left my child on any human's doorstep? I knew the people I entrusted with you. I've thought about you almost every day." Kervak snarled at her mother's answer. "I not believe you! You pirate and thief! You and your crew vould have killed these people if I not show up." The Gurk motioned to the little boy that she had saved who was standing near the Gurk's mother.  "Let ze boy go. You are using him! Like you used me! My parents never told me but I find out. You traded me for engine parts!" The old Gurk's face froze as if she was stabbed in the heart by an ice cold knife. "It's not true…" she began with a shake of her head but Kervak interrupted her. "It vas for small Gravmark fan. The price of one small vaser pistol! Did you give gun?! NO! You give me." Kervak's voice cracked as the tears rolled down her cheeks. The old Gurk's ears fell flat against her neck. Her eyes locked on the gun in front of her. "You should move little one," she said to the boy. The boy wrapped his arms around the old Gurk's legs. "I'm not moving! She saved me from the other Gurk in the brig here. It was going to hurt me but Yannera here saved me!" "Get avay from her! She trying to use you like she used me!" snapped Kervak. Atlas was in the doorway. He had heard that the two Gurks had gotten out but Kervak had beaten him to them. He watched the situation. Kervak was so angry she could fire and risk hurting the boy who was protecting the old Gurk. If it was true that this Gurk saved him perhaps she didn't plan on escaping. "You need to move boy," whispered Yannera. Atlas walked in and blocked Kervak's view of her mother. "Lower the gun," he said calmly. "No! She using him like she used me!" "Then why did she lock the other Gurk back up that was hurting me!" the boy answered with a shout. "Maybe she vanted to abandon her like she abandon me!" Kervak snapped back. Atlas gave Kervak a glare. "Put the gun down. You and your mother need to have a talk but not here. Not like this. Put the gun down." Kervak's face distorted with a snarl as she bolted out of the hall. She ran deep into the ships belly and began working on maintenance in an angry fashion. Her temper was hotter than her ship's turbo thrusters. The Gryphon turned to the old Gurk. Even though he was tough as nails and rarely cared for criminals' feelings he felt sorry for her. Her face was one of someone who had their heart pulled from their chest. Placing a hand on her shoulder he began to lead her toward the dining room of the ship. Some time later Kervak had calmed down after a talk with Atlas and decided to speak to her Mother again.   When Kervak entered the dining room Yannera stood slowly from her chair. Kervak came and stood right in front of her. They stared at each other for some time before anyone spoke. "Kervak," Yannera started. "I'm so sorry about what happened. You have every right to throw me out the airlock. I actually wouldn't mind if you did." Kervak's ear's laid back and her tail twitched. Atlas couldn't tell if it was anger or sadness. "You didn't care for me until you in my hands. At my mercy. You only care about you," said the angry Gurk lowering her brow. Her mother closed her eyes. "I'm not stupid Kervak, and I know you're not either. I had a child in my hands. Right now that other Gurk and I could be on a shuttle with him. Stun guns would be way to dangerous for such a little one. But did I do that?" "You had him protecting you! You vere using him like you did me. Now I use you! I get reward for taking down pirate!" Kervak's answer was cold and sharp. "Well he isn't here now," answered Yannera. "Pirates are worth the same money dead or alive. At least I am. Go ahead. Finish what you started." She looked down at Kervak's holstered pistol. Kervak's eyes narrowed as she placed her hand on the gun's handle. "There is no one for me to hide behind. I love you Kervak, not as perfectly as I should have, but I still do. Now do what you wish." Kervak's tail swooshed back and forth as Yannera took a step closer quickly. Reaction kicked in and Kervak drew her pistol but didn't point it at her. Atlas stepped forward reaching for the gun but Yannara grabbed the pistol and pressed it against her side. "Your trying to help Gryphon, but this is between us. Just as it was all those years ago. It is up to my daughter what to do." Kervak's eyes filled with tears her hands trembling as the old Gurk wrapped her arms around her; hugging her tightly. "Do as you wish my little one. My life is complete." Kervak's ears drooped and her tail fell limply to the ground. "If I were to die it would be right here." She then laid her head on Kervak's shoulder. Atlas watched just hoping Kervak would not pull the trigger and do something she would regret. Her mother was giving herself to her completely and holding nothing back. Both Kervak's and Yannara's hands  were locked on the pistol. It moved a little but one of them was forcing it to remain. After what felt like ages Kervak whispered, "Don't make me kill you. You are my mother." The gun shook again as if someone was trying to push it away while the other held it in place. Yannera began breathing heavily. The old Gurk's hand was working closer to the trigger as Kervak closed her eyes. "Don't do zhis, please," Kervak whispered. "I've been running trying to survive for so long that I even sacrificed having you near me. My running days are over," answered the old Gurk. Kervak continued to try to pry the pistol away from her mother as her finger inched closer. "I miss you Mum," Kervak said her voice cracking. "I miss you to point vhere I hated you. Please. Let start over." Yannera looked at her daughter's glowing eyes. "Mom. Don't let it end zhis vay. I never forgive myself." The old Gurk let go of the pistol and Kervak quickly threw it across the room. Kervak let out a sigh and returned her mother's embrace. "Now I take care of you. You steal no more. You vill have everything you need." Yannera smiled slightly her overall demeanor still quite sad as they both held tightly to each other.   Kervak's mother was far from perfect but she was still her Mum.

This isn't really for anything in particular. I was trying out my new computer and art program Krita, I'm really happy with how this turned out. I do have a problem with how Krita seems to slow down when you have multiple layers doing stuff. It did crash on my when I was doing this so I had to do the letters twice. Let me know what you guys think of how my art looks with Krita.

Kervak found herself on Hoth!
She seems to be interrupting Han and Leia's discussion in Echo base. Solo: "NO! Chewie can't help fix your ship, he's fixing mine!"
