This song feels like a good fit for the rainy season happening in Japan right now, it has gentle yet wistful quality that's very pretty. The last third or so in particular has a feeling that reminds me a bit of the 8 melodies from the Mother/Earthbound series; both have that same feeling of crying in a healing sort of way, if that makes sense (^.^)

Today's track is "Rakujitsu" or "Setting Sun", despite being one of the tracks used in the show itself, it feels like it was composed for a movie doesn't it?
The gentle piano at the beginning sets a distinct tone for it, and feels like it matches to the sunset itself, while the more traditional sounding music of second part feels like everything that starts and lights up once it's mostly dark out, and creates a sense of the shift between night and day, with the last bit of piano music feeling like it would correspond to a shot of the last bit of sunlight fading

For our 100th post I wanted to do something special, and chose Kuronosu no Mori, or Chronos Forest for the occasion
It's interesting the broad variety of tones this series has despite being a gag series; the singing in this song is lovely and the instrumentals in the middle wouldn't feel out of place on the soundtrack to a Studio Ghibli film. It's no wonder it's received two remixes for the movies
I feel like one thing that makes this series work better than a lot of North American children's comedy shows is that, yes, it's funny, but it allows itself to be other things too and doesn't shy away from or undercut those more complicated feelings, and the few times it does it's handled in a way that makes sense

Today's update is Mimesis, one of the background songs released on the third "Kerock" soundtrack album. I can't immediately place a scene to the song, but it does have a mysterious feeling to it that I really enjoy

This one was another "surprise abandoned spaceship you thought was a building" song, from the title "No good, no good" I thought it was going to be a goofier song, but this is also really neat and the sound of the later half goes with the mixed case text (^.^)

This one is getting posted today for pulling me out of the weird mood I've been in, the music itself goes through a few different tones before ending on nice uplifting, but not pushy tone, if that makes sense.
And then there's the small amount of singing, I admit, I laughed at just how unexpected it was, and yes, I'm fairly sure you're hearing it correctly.

Every so often one of these is a big surprise compared to the tone of most of the songs and this is one of them, it very much feels like it should be in an action movie, one where a proper fight scene is less of a surprise than a goofy one (^.^)
Granted, the title is likely a play on "Enter the Dragon", so that does make sense, either way, the combination of percussion & string instruments is really good

So....there are two ways this title can be translated, Otenki can mean both weather and mood, so either Weather Keroro or Mood Keroro. Really, the fun, light hearted, and somewhat silly melody evokes images of walking around on a sunny day and works for both
This also marks that last track from the Kerock 3 CD, all 5 have so many it's a little surreal that one is complete, though we still have quite a few left from the others, especially Kerock 1 & 2, so let's look forward to discovering them together (^.^)

Despite how complicated the title looks, what it says is "Fantasy song in d flat major" it's also surprisingly long, and even has a pause near the end where it sounds like the song is ending before it picks back up
However, the track itself is very pretty and a good song to relax with, or to play while working on something, especially since it lasts a bit longer than the other tracks so you don't have to restart it as often (^.^)

Today's track is a curious one, it feels so different from the majority of songs for the show, a bit more like something from the soundtrack to a classic shoujo series, I feel. Do any of you remember hearing it in the show? I'm a little curious now

The opening of today's track is one that's fairly familiar; it's played a good few times over the course of the series, but I don't recalled having heard the mid section before, but it's really nice.
Combined with the title, Hide and Seek, it feels like it could be used on its own as the score to a short film where the light, playful tone plays over an opening where the characters are playing together. Then it shifts to the middle section as they explore deeper and encounter something a bit magical, then returning to the same melody from the start as they return (^.^)

This is one I recognised right away, it's a very distinct song that I remember from a lot of the more dramatic scenes, one in particular is the season 3 episode where Keroro has an existential crisis while reorganising his room/collection, but I've heard it in many more, and now I finally know what it's called

Yan Yan Tokushubutai or "Yan Yan Special Forces", from the title I was expecting this song to be a more intense one, especially since "yan" can have a few different meanings, but this has a really nice, relaxing feel to it that fits the spring weather we've been enjoying where I live (^.^)

I paused a moment when I saw this title since, usually I see this in a more complicated piece of software and not in a CD. But listening to this song, it has a nice, soothing feeling with a fun sci-fi touch that makes it enjoyable to listen to

Today we have a fun, high energy, though somewhat shorter track. Listening to it for the post, it sounded familiar, but I couldn't place where I'd heard it, but I think I've worked it out now; I'm fairly sure the first part played during the opening previews they had in the second season, the ones that had snippets of the episode that was starting
