Ichigo’s biggest yes or no is if you’ll be able to sometimes come second or third (likely til you marry and/or have kids with him.) Although kenpachi is coded as barbaric he really is just that protective—he’s as angry as he will be based solely upon someone’s proximity to him emotionally. You and Yaru will be so exclusively held in a regard he won’t even understand. Just the black hole of his awareness he’ll surpass anything to save y’all. He won’t speak on why Lady Unohana isn’t around anymore (new anime, manga lore). But again, when he ends up rough too many nights in a row you distance yourself from him. He can’t admit to you he disassociates and goes back to bad times. He can’t tell you your comfort and warmth makes him remember the times he needed it before—he doesn’t mean to hurt you but he lives for a fight. But he wants to stop making everything and everyone something to “conquer.” He’ll be a real deal handful and it will solely up to you to either tell him you can’t be with him until he figure shit out or you’ll stick beside him and work through it together. (In this case Yaru is the “kid” yall share, I see him being weary of birthing a child and being a dad in such a “visceral” way. Shinji Hirako: He's super greedy with it comes to hugging. He'll squeeze you until you can't breath and are squirming against his body, trying to get out of his tight grip. Seriously though, when he hugs, he can't get enough of you. He'll breathe in your scent and have his arms wrapped around you so damn tight. Shinji will squeeze your flesh and even tickle you and hold you so you can't escape from his tickles.

Toshiro Hitsugaya: His hugs are a little complicated. At first, he'll be cold and shoot you a sharp glare when you ask for a hug. Although, Toshiro cannot resist a hug from you and he caves in. He wraps his arms around your waist and holds you, muttering underneath his breath about how he doesn't like this. You laugh because you know that he does like hugging you, but he doesn't like how vulnerable it makes him. He'll place a kiss on your forehead before fully pulling away from the hug.

Mayuri Kurotsuchi: He won't deny you a hug, but he might tease you about it for a little. He laughs like a manic and grabs onto your shoulders, pulling you onto his lap. He's probably stuck in his lab when you ask him for a hug and he refuses to leave his hard work, so he just places you on his lap and multitasks. He'll stroke your hair or rub your back, typing on his keyboard and clicking on the mouse. He enjoys these quiet moments with you.

Kensei Muguruma: His hugs are firm and his big beefy biceps squeeze you 😩 (what i wouldn't do to have my head being squeezed in his bicep...ahem) The smile that grows across his face is huge as he pulls you into his big chest for a hug. He loves hugging you and especially if you're sad or something, he loves cheering you up. You feel so happy and calm in his arms. His hugs are kind and will last forever; Kensei never wants to let go, but knows he has to go back to work.

Soi-Fon: A quick, but consoling hug. I imagine that Soi-Fon doesn't really like hugs, but for you, she'll put up with it, but only for a few seconds. She won't admit it, but for the first few seconds, she indulges in the hug and cherishes it. She'll start patting your back before pulling away, face twisted with uncertainty.

Sajin Komamura: A big, fluffy hug :) You know the kind of hug that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. He'll hold you as long as you need, but in reality, Sajin needs this hug more than anything. He loves to cradle you in his arms and breathe in your scent, relaxing his whole body.

✧ So, naturally, at first, he has no idea how he's supposed to treat the newcomer who personality-wise definitely does not fit into the 11th squad.

✧ Of course, no one whose fighting abilities are not personally accepted by Kenpachi has no chance of joining his ranks.

✧ You barely know how you managed to impress him, in all sincerity. You were far from as strong as he was, but he must have sensed something about your abilities that made him accept you.

✧ Kenpachi Zaraki's squad is full of people who seem to have next to nothing in common, so in a weird way, you fit right in.

✧ At first, Kenpachi didn't pay it much mind. You weren't a seated officer and wasn't brought along on too many missions, but you were always looking after the others upon their return.

✧ He joked that you'd fit in better in squad 4 with the healers, and the venomous glare you'd sent him had been laced with so much fire that he immediately fell quiet in shock.

✧ I consider this to take place after Kenpachi properly learns about Yachiru and she disappears.

✧ Your kindness is not a trait Yachiru had, but your positivity reminds him of her.

✧ Slowly, he finds himself seeking out your company more and more frequently, even going so far as to not take fights seriously at all or force his spiritual power down enough to be cut, just so you can be the one to patch him back up.

✧ You're surprisingly good at handling his temper and making him calm down as well, which the rest of your squadmates are quick to pick up on, dragging you along whenever they had to deliver unfortunate news that would make Kenpachi's anger flare up.

✧ In next to no time, Kenpachi has given you an unofficial seat of sorts, making sure that keeps you close to him at all times. It makes the loss of Yachiru's physical form easier to bear as well.

✧ The squad had filled you in about the last Lieutenant, and you felt your heart ache for the sake of your captain every time he looked over his shoulder with a grin to shoot a few words to the little pink-haired girl who usually sat on his back or shoulder, only to have his face fall.

✧ I believe that he would be pretty normal at first, that is until you are severely injured at the hands of a few hollows on a mission that he'd selfishly brought you along on. One moment of Kenpachi being occupied had been enough for an attack to reach.

✧ When you woke up, bandaged and in pain, but alive, in the barracks of squad four a few days later, the first thing you saw was the captain sitting next to you. He looked like he hadn't slept a wink while you'd been unconscious.

✧ The relief on his face once his eyes met yours was immense. "Don't do that again," he said gruffly, clenching his fist. He'd been beating himself up ever since the incident, cursing himself for that singular moment of not even a second that led to you being in this state.

✧ He would make sure nothing like that would happen to you ever again.

✧ He had already lost Yachiru (even though she was technically still with him) and he refused to lose another person he cared about.

✧ As soon as you'd regained your health, he'd firmly banned you from leaving on any missions at all, which had made you lash out and punch him (dealing absolutely no damage) much to Kenpachi's amusement.

✧ Knowing how stubborn you could be, the times when he personally had to leave on a mission, he locked you up with shackles blocking your spiritual power. No matter how mad you got at him or viciously tried to fight back and stop him, you were like an angry kitten, all bark and no bite.

✧ At all other times of day, you were effectively thrown onto his shoulder, taking Yachiru's place. It was the only way he could be certain to keep you from sneaking away on missions as he had no doubts that you would run off with your zanpakuto the second he let you out of his sight.

✧ Really, who was going to stop him? Few were strong enough to oppose him, and the positive impact you had on keeping him calm unfortunately had Head Captain Shunsui siding with Kenpachi. "For the greater good," he'd said in a meeting, shooting you an apologetic glance as you clenched your fists and bit back tears, seated in Kenpachi's lap.

"Things they do to apologize after an argument" A/n: I had this idea in my head for some time and seeing these three in a situation like this made me think🤔 The three scenarios below are 100% canon, I swear😅

Kenpachi :

It's not difficult to get this man out of his mind, but it's also not difficult for him to get someone out of their mind with his personality, especially you, if you two get upset about something. He undoubtedly doesn't act with you in the same way as with others, but if for some reason you argue, he may loosen up a little and say more than he should, something he will regret later when give him the silent treatment. Believe me, he will be a shadow, following you even without knowing how to reach you. He wanted so badly to grab you and take you to his room for just an hour just to "apologize himself"but he had already realized that he was the one in the wrong, so he waited until you "softened up". He looks at you every time you pass by him and it was one of those times when you passed by him that he couldn't contain himself and slapped your ass, the habit he had before you two were upset. You gave him a deadly look back but just continued on your way and he gave a small smile. The fact that you even looked at him was a glimmer of hope for him. He loves a good fight and won't give up until he has you. When the things calm down and he feels it's time to apologize and when you walked past him while he was sitting on the couch in the living room, he pulls you onto his lap, catching you helplessly and hugs you with his strong arms. You didn't react for a moment, seeing that he just wants closeness and your warmth. You interpreted that as an apology from him. "Hey big man! I accept your apology if that's what you're trying to know"You said holding his arms around you "Does this also mean that you won't be pacing around ignoring me?" "Actually, I'm also mad at you for being so big and hard to ignore but yeah, I'll talk to you again" You say and he looks at you sideways making you smile mischievously He can't stay away from you. Even with that size, the softer side of his heart is still calling for you.

Jushiro :

I can't imagine him arguing for some reason, he's a sweetheart and would do anything but argue with you, because he knows you might be offended by something he said. Something he would avoid at all costs. When he sees that you are upset with him and that you are avoiding him, he chooses to give you some space even though it is difficult to do so. Shunsui could relate it, he had to convince him and almost begged him on his knees to give you space for a few days. The friend knew he loved you and that's why he acted like that. He couldn't help but at least exchange glances with you when you two passed each other in the corridors of his division or even inside the house. When things start to calm down a little more, he starts greeting you and even tends to bring sweets and hide them under the blanket on your side of the bed accompanied by flowers. "A true romantic man" You think to yourself after encountering all that. You see this as his apology and that very night, you can be sure, when he turns to your side while you're lying next to him and hugs you from behind and brings you closer to him. When you look back with your eyes still barely open but you can see him looking at you with an innocent and soft expression. "Do you accept my apology? Please Y/n, I'm so sorry" He whispers against the skin of your neck "But only because you brought me flowers and sweets this afternoon" You said and he chuckled placing more kisses on your neck "I will bring it whenever you want" Help, I don't write to him anymore, my heart is melting😫

Shunsui :

Another gentleman who doesn't like to argue with his loved one just like his friend above, but the only difference is that Shunsui is shameless and his sarcasm and jokes can ruin everything sometimes. What he doesn't know is that they also leave him sleeping on the couch for a few days. However, he can't help but keep a silly smile on his face when he sees you leaving the bedroom with a blanket and his pillow. He tries to stop you but you just push him away. "Aren't you overreacting? Y/n, come on ! The bed is big for both of us, you don't need to---" "Fuck you !" You stick out your middle finger and show it to him, returning to the bedroom afterwards and slamming the door with a bang "Yeah, Shunsui... it's your fault again for being an idiot" He muttered after seeing the way you left He can't bear to see you walk past him without saying a word to him, his eyes follow you everywhere in the house and even at work. He wanted so much to come closer to you and hug you and apologize and humiliate himself if he had to just to hear your beautiful voice again. This is no longer the silent treatment but torture for him. He, like Jushiro, also leaves flowers everywhere, especially rose petals scattered across the floor. In the living room, in the kitchen, in the bedroom and even in the bathroom he wants you to see the flowers. When you enter the house you can't help but sigh when you see it, you know immediately that the flowers and petals on the floor speak for themselves. "That idiot" You thought. You went to the bedroom and he was there leaning against the headboard with his bottle of drink in his hand and looking like he wasn't quite sober anymore. "I told you to stay on the couch, didn't I?" You said, approaching the bed and crossing your arms, pretending to still be upset "It's too cold to sleep on the living room and especially without my beautiful Y/n-chan who warms my heart"He said, bringing the bottle to his lips You sat next to him and took the bottle from his hands, placing it on the bedside table. "I accept your apology but first you're going to have to clean up the mess of petals you made all over the house, you hear?" You said and he laughed "I will, but now I just want to hug you" Even with the smell of booze you hugged him and he almost cried hugging you.
