Taos Hum

Earth Hum: Taos New Mexico is located in northern New Mexico in Taos County which borders Colorado. Some of the residents report hearing a strange humming sound while in town and has been recorded:

It became known as the Kokomo, Indiana Hum and then the Bristol Hum in 1994. It has long been known that the largest earthquakes can make the earth "ring like a bell". In 1998, scientists discovered that the earth itself gives off very slight vibrations all the time at the range of around 10 millihertz. This rumble is well below the range of human hearing. It 2008, the Black Forest Observatory in Germany working in conjunction with seismologists in Japan and China undertook a mapping project of these oscillations and discovered that they move in rings and loops across the earth's surface. In 2009 the source of the earth's hum had been discovered. It was from the energy of the waves in the ocean battering the west coast of the US and Europe that transferred energy to the sea floor. In addition, when two waves of opposite direction but similar frequency collide, they create a special kind of pressure wave that carries energy to the ocean bottom. There is little humming from waves in the deep ocean. A paper called “How ocean waves rock the Earth: Two mechanisms explain microseisms with periods 3 to 300 s” published in February’s edition of Geophysical Research Letters, a journal of the American Geophysical Union. House in Chaos After LGBT Vote

Yahoo news recently had an article about a fight that erupted in the house after Republicans barely defeated an amendment that would have barred federal contractors from getting government work if they discriminated against the LGBT community. To be honest, I agree with the amendment. A business who accepts work from the federal government shouldn't have to care one way or another who sleeps with who between the sheets at night. Someone's intimate life is their concern, not the company's concern and most of us have enough drama in our lives without having to go poke our nose around looking for more. There is of course one obvious exception to this. If someone's intimate behavior becomes a matter of public disrepute that impairs the goodwill or reputation of the company then it is no longer a private matter. Self-Confidence: Feel good and self-confident about yourself.You don't need approval from bullies. I believe it is very important to have trust and self-confidence in yourself. Remember, you are a very special and unique individual in God's eyes. He made no one else like you. You have individual skills and unique talents that are potentially world-changing. But who will know about your unique talents and special skills if you don't tell anyone about them or you let others control your life and your reputation. Vision8K: Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 Editing

Vision8K is continuing. I am currently working on both Chapters One and Two. Chapter 1 is almost completely revised. Chapter 2 will need to be completely overhauled and expanded so the ideas will connect together and connect with Chapter 1. The literary goal of 8000 words for Vision 8K still stands.
