I feel SO confused about all the "the men are mad about Barbie" posts because I have seen an expected number of guys pulling the expected shit, but INFINITELY MORE cis white women both missing the point and complaining about basically everyone -- and no one at all pointing out their complaints.

#barbie #karens #i hate to point it out but it literally is not *just* or *all* men in this instance y'all #ken didn't have to apologize because he is in the reverse role in the movie #like greta gerwig literally said it's the reverse creation myth in many ways #they didn't even know where the kens slept at night and didn't care #he did bad things but he did them because he was made for a purpose and he was denied that purpose without any explanation and wanted love #he showed remorse and cried and only did what he thought was expected and what would solve the problem he had #it was not good but sometimes when you're trying to figure out who you are and you're being denied agency you do hurtful things #trying to see barbie and ken as a typical heterosexual relationship is a flawed perspective #barbie spoilers #spoilers #barbie movie
