While others worked as standard zookeepers, there were specialized park "caretakers," assigned by park guides to look after Friends during their bridging period between them, ethics, and society. In the manga "Welcome to Japari Park," Nana is unaware of who she is responsible for, and she continues to receive supervision from her park guide throughout the year.
According to a translation provided by Japari Library, the Kemono Friends 3 card 'Caretaker Changeroom' states: "To get along more with Friends, there are also Caretaker(s) that bring various items."
A caretaker's duties were broad, and Nana's interactions in Welcome to Japari Park demonstrate an expectation to assist nearly all who ask for it. As first implied by Kemono Friends 2, these relationships were always temporary, weighing on her by Kemono Friends 3.
