okay but seriously all jokes aside I really do understand ivan. like having a schedule so packed and busy is so insanely draining no matter how long you've conditioned yourself to endure it. sacrificing certain things like lunch or sleep just to gain the slightest bit more time for yourself is something that feels almost essential to keeping yourself together and not feeling like you're losing yourself in the cycle completely. it's like its own little act of rebellion in a way, something along the lines of you can drown me in work and monotony but I'll keep carving these little spaces of time for what little I have for myself, even if I have to carve them out of my own chest. so far thursday friday and saturday spent in endless stress and anxiety over our cats suddenly worsening health (throwing up and not eating/drinking) then multiple vet visits then trying to make him eat a little and then trying to keep our hyperactive kitten from bullying the older cat when hes weakened and at this point i want to kinda cry out of exhaustion 😩 fingers crossed at least i hope Ori will improve and tomorrow we have another check up but jesus christ. jesus

oohhh well when i started the cover, i got a lot of creative freedom and was allowed to give my take on both valentine and spelldon so they'd have comic-specific designs. spelldon was the biggest challenge ofc, i was told he should look similar to casta fierce since they're siblings, the rest was up to me. i knew the fans had been waiting a long time to see these two so i started by doing a bunch of research, like rewatching Why Do Ghouls Fall In Love and that webshort casta is in, to immerse myself in the monster high world. my first thought was what if spelldon has curly hair, a dangly earring and a cool jacket… i like when a character's fashion/style reflects their personality so I basically build on that. i wanted him to stand on his own and not just be "casta but a boy", so I tried stuff like flipping their style and color palette while keeping elements like makeup, studs and the hairstreak to see what looks cooler. where casta's colorful dress and long hair are at the center of her design, i thought spelldon could have the opposite. then I also had to make sure he stood out from valentine, since they'd both be wearing a lot of black. so I thought what if he wears a lot of accessories, maybe that could make him unique? what if his hair has a different silhouette than valentine's? stuff like that. and then finally, I'd work on stylizing and simplifying the design so it's easier for the comic artists to adapt!

worked on the cover and design at the same time so time ran short but that's some of the main ideas. it was a wild process and put a lot of love into it! at first i just designed his face (cus that's what i'd mainly be drawing for the cover) but Mattel liked him so much i ended up fully designing him, which you can see now in the comic! thx for asking♡︎

i sense how on the contrary, when moon is in Zeph’s local group the members will all go ‘omg youre actually letting us do this’ or be surprised of her leniency with almost anything(or if she gets upset she wont be yelling her ass off and will try to remain calm), because of how Zeph would usually be so strict with em and they didnt expect better

see- first you gotta understand that the chancla doesn't really Hurt the iterators. while they definitely can feel through their puppets, those things are made to be sturdy (throw a normal or singularity bomb into Pebs' chamber,he's fine, i know he just doesn't have health but worldbuilding is worldbuilding so i guess a fully functional iterator is fine with blackhole into the head). it maybe stings for a sec but it's not worse than gettin pinched (also where did you get that she yells at em, she's only exclaimed so far i think. if you check how she handled Innocence, that's how she generally goes about it- no yellin for the sake of puttin 'em in place, she's just venting out her frustrations into the air)

the Point of the chancla is to get the target's unwavering attention so she can talk some sense into them WITHOUT using the senior privilege which is far more invading since it cuts straight through their systems and forces the juniors to stop everything to pay attention. these things are giant supercomputers! they are going to have a different perspective on what counts as "too much"/"too bad" than us humans! it isn't used to limit what they are doing unless the thing they are gon do is explicitly threatening to their safety, the limiting is what the Senior Privilege does!
