Our Founder Daniel McKee discussed the mentality and process for starting training and staying with it in 2023 with Kelli Peltier on Fox 4 News in #KansasCity on New Year's Day. Whether it is around new year's or not, the steps are always the same, whether it's your first time training or you're coming back from a lay-off.

1) Decide your Training Purpose: what is driving you to do this? You need to make this clear to yourself because this is what will drive you when you don't really feel like going to the gym. It helps if the ultimate aim of your purpose is clear, like a destination at the beginning of a journey.

2) Set time-sensitive goals according to your purpose. Every purpose has some relation to time. The things you must achieve at certain points in time to fulfill your purpose are goals. Goals give you metrics to measure your progress toward your ultimate aim.

3) Find the right trainer and tell them your goals. Your goals are what they will base their training strategy on.

4) Understand the strategy. Don't show up at the gym blindly every day. Your trainer will implement the strategy, but if you understand what they are doing and why you can exactly align your intention with your trainer's training will be much more effective.
