Concept art of Kazdeya: the empire that rules the underworld of S'var. Thousands of years ago, a blight ended the war between the Alvar (sun elves) and Svartani (shadow elves). Alvar war magic devoured the world of S'var. It burned away the atmosphere, allowing hostile megaflora and megafauna to consume the planet's surface. The Alvar returned to their home planet, victorious. Meanwhile, the Svartani fled underground. They have dwelled there since, building an empire over the magical core of their planet, the Void-sea. Even now, blight continues to spread underground.
