update on the rats?

hades has scared me multiple times because i keep thinking he has a tumour but he’s actually just a fattie. zeus has a cut on his back from a fight and it won’t go away (it’s been there since august and the vets are no help). poseidon is my stinky little man and keeps trying to eat my finger cuz he thinks it’s food and he’s fat.

overall they’re fat and i love them

hades is the black one on the bottom, zeus in the black one on top and poseidon is sticking his head out on the right

i don't have any current plans! there are so many things i want to make, but unfortunately it takes a lot of time (and money!!) to make plushes. i have to limit what i go through with or else i could put myself in a risky financial situation since this is how i make a living

Is it true you have to wash your hands before you hold your rats or they’ll bite you? Or is that a myth

completely a myth. sure, rats may try to take a bite out of you if you have food on your fingers but before they bite down, they’ll realise it’s not actually food.

rats have an insanely good control of their bite and it’s not normal for rats to be aggressive or bite other rats/humans.

if they do bite other rat/human they have be neutered but if they continue to be aggressive, they have to be euthanised as it’s not normal behaviour.
