Test patterning the shabrack. The curb bit is done.
....it is fuckin' wild to be on the home stretch as I have been on-and-off attempting to make a 70cm scale BJD horse for three years.

Now with shabrack and breast collar on.
The historically accurate heart collar is very important to me. Real men put hearts, stars, and moons on their kit. Lol

Got the bridles like 1 and 1/2 done. The snaffle bridle is done, but the curb one is not. There are so many buckles. So. Many. Buckles. Also I rather dislike working with leather. It is all the annoying parts of hand-sewing… PLUS A HAMMER TO SMASH MY THUMB WITH.
Sewed down the head. There is a certain unavoidable amount of wrinkling as long as I want the neck to pose, but I tried to reduce it and the bridle covers some of it.
Did the eyelids. That was scary to glue down. x_x

I bought so much leather (like an entire cow by square footage) and somehow I feel like I don't have enough leather.

saddle frame… unexpectedly troublesome!
Haven't glued everything down yet.
Need to use filler to cover up how I lost at Filament Chicken so the last top layers didn't get printed on one piece and smooth out a little of the filament texture.
Then I need to drill holes for leather lacing the seat.

Used some rub n buff on the bridle hardware. Not sure why the gold does not want to stick very much. It worked fine on a different thing.
Need to reprint the moon tho. Got a bad chip from being too aggressive on the supports and I over sprayed primer so it has both too much and too little texture
I probably could have gone a bit more high relief on the little horses, but I might just emphasize it with a paint wash later.
The snaffle bit is from https://mmf.io/o/133310
