#just everything about this #if there is ONE thing i wish they kept in the final episode its this scene/detail. god i with they kept those fucking scars #even without the extra dialouge of draft1 they convey SO MUCH simply by being there #kaworu exists on two extreams. his love and obsession and his pain and suicidal ideation #but they are both such humanizing traits for such an inhuman passive character. who exists mostly as a symbol over anything else #ik the point of the episode was for shinji to be shown unconditional love by kaworu wo can provide it to him mainly because he surpresses #his own suffering for shinjis sake and dosnt mind doing so #but god sometimes i imagine what it couldve been like is we got this more expressive version on him that still manages to fufill the #same purpose. even being able to relate in a small way to shinjis suffering (the immediate check of his hands after he confesses his own #passivly suicidal thoughts)#(i mean either that or he just noticed the calouses beforehand and wanted a closer look XD)
