Heyo! I was wondering if you had any tips for pitching a comic book to a publisher ie, what should be prepped, what would be considered too much, what’s a good proof of concept? Hope book 2 goes well for you and Odin!

ohh! Fun question. I'm not going to pretend I know a lot. I was scouted in for the frøya project, but I have picked up a few tips here and there from the publishers! From my understanding they want you to deliver a short synopsis, concept art, a few finished pages (to show the end quality), and refined/clean sketches of the rest of the comic. I'm unsure how many pages they want you to have sketched up. I know they don't want you to necessarily deliver a fully finished comic because they most likely want to make some changes to the script. So send in your project by email and then you simply have to wait! I know the editors I work with get a ton of emails and it takes time to go through it all as well as manage books currently being made. Patience is good as you might have to wait weeks/months for an answer. And in my humble opinion, a no from one publisher doesn't mean no from another one! Hopefully, this answers your questions! Thank you! I am over halfway done with book 2 and enjoying myself greatly!

I feel like making an introduction! Hi, I'm Isa! I'm a freelance illustrator and comic creator from Norway. I'm currently the artist for a comic called "Katteguden Frøya" (cat goddess frøya) A silly comic about Frøya and her many many many cats. Right now I'm working on book 2 and the deadline is fast approaching so I probably won't be able to make much other art in the meantime!
