Remember our first mention in 2021 of finding Katrinkles adjustable sock blockers and with an easy labeling - they can be used to size confirm socks (that have been washed and dried)?

They’ve revised their adjustable design since then (I prefer the old version) but they still work to size confirm socks!

Their sliding and secure design makes them easier to adjust but needing more securement with the attachment pieces.

Yesterday’s blue socks featured a +4 deep heel (made on a 72 cylinder) to better display this sock the heel section of my adjustable Katrinkles sock blockers was extended slightly. Perhaps we all do sizing the same - perhaps different? Socks, having washed and hung to dry, are size confirmed on my Katrinkles adjustable sock blockers - but any sock blockers of a standard size can be used. I ask you, these two socks are size adjusted differently-which one in your opinion is at the right size? Tip: see the heel seam. My own experience taught me these socks are a better fit for US Women’s 7-7.5/6-6.5 Men which I determine by where these heel seams land on the blocker (on an average foot). Yes these socks have been washed and aren’t expected to shrink further however some yarns do tighten up sometimes during laundry life. Sizing socks: I can’t say enough about what I discovered using these adjustable sock blockers. By simply adding your own US sizing labels to the piece between the heel and instep, you can easily setup your adjustable sock blockers to confirm knitted washed/dried socks. The adult set (shown) size confirm US womens 5-14/mens 5-13. Sizing socks: Exploring these adjustable sock blockers with their adjustable foot lengths, I’ve noticed using different charts (like the one included) that depending on how long the foot portion is extended it seems to go up one US female sock size by each position. I’ve labelled these blockers to make it easier to adjust and use. With the blocker adjusted I size confirm finished washed/dried CSM socks - seems to work great. I’ve used charts to determine equivalent men’s foot sizes and will double check all once my recently purchased a men/women Brannock foot sizer arrives.
