Hello everyone and happy Monday! Apparently it’s Blue Monday today, the most miserable day of the year. It was a tough one at work but I’m determined not to fall into the blues 😂 so here are three beautiful hardbacks I treated myself to just before Christmas. I’ve seen The Golden Mole around for a little while now and after flicking through it, I’m really excited to get to it. This is described as a “lavishly illustrated collection of the lives of some of the Earth’s astounding animals.” For example, did you know that a pangolin keeps its tongue folded in a pouch by its hip? Or that a wombat once inspired a love poem? 😂 Gosh I’m excited for this! 2023 is finally the year I tackle War and Peace! Along with over 500 other people, I am reading a chapter a day of this beautiful classic for the very first time. I know I’m an arachnophobe, I’m pretty certain I have bibliomania 🤣 but want to know another fun fact about me? I have a phobia of cotton wool! Finished “Wicked Boy” this afternoon! 🤩🤩 : My “niche” in true crime is historical crime because I love learning about the time period through the crime.
