Armed and ready, the winter guide pack from @katabaticgear is is in go mode. We love this 65L pack. It's close to perfect. Thanks @philipwerner.sectionhiker for showing us. We did have this pack modified a tiny bit by @raggedmtequip last season and there are a couple things we need to tweak this year, but it's very close to perfect. "yin and yang, how seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the natural world" This image visualizes that perfectly to me, the yin and yang of the coast and ocean as rock meets water; spaces of blue water and green grass, lines etched in the dirt and sea, the blue breaking into the grey, eternal fluidity vs fleeting rigidity. One of my first aerials with the @djiphantom 4 Pro while traveling the Sonoma Coast a month ago. Getting awesome shots like these actually takes a lot of other great too; my awesome @686 rain jacket that got me through a freak thunderstorm on Point Reyes, my comfy @katabaticgear down quilt that kept me warm hammock camping in the forest, addicting road snacks from @perkyjerky, and finding awesome places to visit on @theoutbound! (at California Coast)

Staying warm photographing the Milky Way is much easier now thanks to the @katabaticgear Flex 22 Quilt. The flexibility to unzip the quilt and use it as a wrap means I don’t need to bring extra layers, a large bulky down jacket, or freeze my butt off. (at High Uintas Wilderness)
