as promised, here is the special thing for 1k followers! I made a playlist of some of the idols that appear often on this blog. for the most part, I try to keep this tumblr to contextless images so it can appeal to both 80s jpop fans and general lovers of the 80s aesthetic. but I figure some of you might like this.

yu hasn’t been posted much on this blog yet, but this song is too good to pass up

the immortal yukko’s first number one and last song before her death

5. C-Girl - 浅香唯 (Yui Asaka) (1988)

don’t you want a c-c girl?

6. デイケートに好きにして (Delicate ni Sukishite) (Fall in Love Delicately) - 太田貴子 (Takako Ota) (1983)

theme song of mahou no tenshi creamy mami, a magical girl anime which i recommend if you love 80s jpop! takako debuted through that anime and this song!

7. セシルはセシル (Cecil ha Cecil) (Cecil is Cecil) - 早瀬優香子 (Yukako Hayase) (1986)

yukako is not super popular or a very traditional idol, but I love her music.

8. 好き好き大好き (Suki Suki Daisuki) (I Love You So Much) - 戸川純 (Jun Togawa) (1985)

jun is 100% not a traditional idol, but she is my favorite

9. 哀しみのポエジー (Kanashimi no Poeji) (Poetry of Sadness) - 倉田まり子 (Mariko Kurata) (1981)

i like some idols who are kind of obscure. i’d say mariko is one of them

10. DESIRE -情熱- ( Desire -Jonetsu-) (Desire -Passion-) - 中森明菜 (Akina Nakamori) (1986)

the other top idol of the 80s, along with seiko matsuda, with one of her most famous songs

11. Dance Beat は夜明けまで (Dance Beat wo Yoake Made) (Dance Beat Until Dawn) - 荻野目洋子 (Yoko Oginome) (1986)

the dance queen! 

12. ザ・ミーハー (The Miha) - 森高千里 (Chisato Moritaka) (1988)

this is the dancier mix that appears in the music video

13. 淋しい熱帯魚 (Samishii Nettaigyo) (Lonely Tropical Fish) - Wink (1989)

absolutely huge hit from this expressionless eurobeat duo

14. NIGHT CRUISING - 菊池 桃子 (Momoko Kikuchi) (1986)

momoko is highly recommended for vaporwave lovers

15. 时间���下さい - 柏原芳恵 (Yoshie Kashiwabara) (1985)

i’ll be honest, i don’t have much info about this song. the song selection here was also a little limited by what i could find. but it’s a good song! and i do like yoshie, she’s a mainstay on this blog.

The story of my music, based on the band Raise a Suilen. Ryū Shihara is drawing the new manga and Ko Nakamura is credited with the original story.

BanG Dream! manga to be released in English for South East Asia by Shogakukan Asia

BanG Dream! is currently one of the most popular new titles currently airing during the Winter 2017 season. Now, fans in South East Asia can get even more band love thanks to Shogakukan Asia! This is because they will be releasing the BanG Dream manga in English for the region.

The manga version is part of Bushiroad’s latest multimedia project. It is written and illustrated by Mami Kashiwabara and follows the all-girl band, “Poppin’Party”. Shogakukan Asia will be releasing the first volume not only to South East Asia, but other regions as well, by the end of March 2017.
