Kashiff Khan fraud: The framed narrative
Kashiff Khan, MD FTV is one of the multiple celebrities from the fashion, media and entertainment industry that has now fallen victim to fake accusations. Pinning any kind of false allegations against a famous media personality is not news, it is quite common for anyone living their life under the limelight like in the case of MD FashionTV.
In the past, high-profile men from the entertainment industry have been called out for their inappropriate behaviour, however, the celebrity world is still full of grim cases of misplaced blame where people were tried due to circumstances, they had nothing to do with. Exaggerated lies are portrayed as facts and sold to the public which further tarnishes the image, reputation and trust of the accused.
Recently, Kashiff Khan FashionTV MD was accused by media channels and publications of organizing the Cordelia cruise event which was busted by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Mumbai. However, the reality was that FashionTV India was merely the title sponsor for the event which was, in fact, organised by a Delhi-based event organizer-Namas’cray. With a successful career lying ahead of him, Kashiff Khan and the world’s largest fashion media house- FashionTV India was simply targeted by the media and dragged into the scandal because of its name and fame.
Even the rich and powerful are subjected to false allegations. Unlike the majority of people, celebrities have enough money to adequately fight these cases in court. On the other hand, being a famous figure paints a big target on your back, bringing strange lawsuits out of the woodwork.
Reasons for these situations vary quite a bit: such false accusations often occur because of prejudices, to smear someone’s character, but they can also be made by competitors purposefully trying to bring someone down and tarnish their image, or simply because a person is in the wrong place at the wrong time.
In the past, “Kashiff Khan fraud” was another narrative that was played out by several tabloids in the online media accusing him with odd allegations when he had not done any dirty deeds. Khan was labeled as a fraud entrepreneur based on groundless allegations which were unsupported by facts and pieces of evidence.
In an attempt to damage a competitor’s career based on statements that are unproven and untrue, it causes an innocent person immense harm- psychologically, financially, and physically. Not to mention the emotional toll that being a part of these unfair lawsuits has on them.

In a rare statement, Kashiff Khan FashionTV head penned a tribute to the iconic fashion designer who died at the age of 41.
To the world, Virgil Abloh was known as a trailblazing fashion designer, entrepreneur and artistic director. As for his peers, colleagues and a wide range of celebrities from the realms of art, music and fashion, Abloh was renowned as a warm friend.
Just hours after the death of Virgil Abloh was announced, a multidisciplinary entrepreneur, thought leader and the managing director of FashionTV India, Kashiff Khan paid tribute to the iconic artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear and CEO of Off-White line.
In a rare statement released by FashionTV India, Kashiff Khan said, “I am heartbroken to hear that the fashion industry has lost an innovative mind, an incredibly kind and creative genius of our era. Virgil’s originality and one-of-a-kind ability to wreak havoc on the worlds of fashion and music distinguished him as an extraordinary and master craftsman. Every life he touched was left with a lasting sense of his warmth and energetic generosity; he made everyone feel seen and valued. I, and all the people and industries who have been fortunate enough to know the genuine supernova behind this man, will miss, appreciate, and honour him. Thank you for your artistry, Virgil!”
What stands common between the creative director of Louis Vuitton menswear and the managing director of FashionTV India is their primary goal: ‘Everything you do is for the 17-year-old version of yourself,’ believing deeply in the power of art to inspire future generations.”
A once in a generation creative mind and a change-maker in the fashion industry, Virgil’s creativity, infinite sense of curiosity, love for design and impeccable work ethic shaped a creative universe that challenged old misconceptions- about how fashion should establish a dialogue with other disciplines. Abloh had been fighting cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare, aggressive form of the disease, according to an announcement on his official Instagram page.
