So, last night Antony Starr shared this on his IG story:

What does this mean? It’s anyone’s guess. Given what he’s shared to his stories recently, I think he’s been going through a really tough time lately. And the whole Mortal Kombat mess didn’t exactly help.

To clarify: Antony made a post on Saturday sharing pictures of him with his dogs. A fan commented asking if he would be voicing Homelander in MK1, to which he simply replied “nope.”

Of course, it’s now all over twitter with tons of news articles about it much to the anger and disappointment of fans. Not only that, but tweeting him directly about it.

I’m not saying this post to his story is in relation to the MK thing, but it does go to show that fans can be the best and worst part of a fandom. There’s still time where he could be brought in to do the voice work, the strikes are now over and the Homelander DLC doesn’t drop till March. We also don’t know the circumstances. He might not even have been asked to do the voice. We simply don’t know, but attacking Antony directly won’t achieve anything. He could also be under a NDA.

There’s now concern over his story post as it just reads like he’s at his wits end with the world, everyone and everything, and I truly don’t blame him. Aren’t we all?

Please, please, please take this as a reminder to be respectful towards actors. We don’t know them and they don’t know us. They aren’t our friends, they don’t owe us anything. And even if it seems like they’re living the good life with fame and fortune, they’re still human just like us. Attacking actors because we don’t get our way does NOT help.

And as an added reminder: Antony wasn’t paid for his Gen V Cameo. He attended set and filmed on his days off. He did it for the fans, as did Karl Urban.

Now again, to clarify: I’m not saying it’s because of fans that Antony made this story post. My point is that attacking him with question after question as to why he isn’t “giving us what we want”, isn’t helping.

I truly hope he’ll be okay and has folk around him to support him. But it sounds like the poor guy just needs his space, and we need to respect and give him that.

To anyone else feeling this way, sending tons of love and hugs your way. Please know you aren’t alone, and if you need to talk to someone, I’m here. As is my Homelander ( @hom3land3r ). While I am in no way a professional, I can absolutely lend an ear. And if Homelander gives you comfort, he’ll also be there for those that need it.

I believe Jensen and Karl will be such good friends. He's [Jensen] talked about how he equated Dean's character to Karl's and I think they have a lot to talk about. Ganking bad guys and blowing shit up on the show, lol.

I'm also glad Jensen is moving on to bigger better things instead of the shit show that is you know spn.

You’re My Wish

Relationship: Karl Urban x Reader

A/N: Made this small piece on my IG account for our Mesmerizing Birthday Boy. I had posted it on his birthday and was planning on publishing it here for y’all to read as well, but I got caught up with some things the last two days that I hadn’t had time to do so. Luckily, I was able to today!

It may be two days late, but this a Birthday Special. Something Short to let y’all have something to read meanwhile I continue to work on my other projects! 💚✨

Summary: Reader plans something simple for Karl’s birthday.

The plan was simple, well at least that’s what you told yourself or at least hoped to go as planned. Everything was supposed to be ready by the time he finished shooting his coverage so like that it was an actual surprise. All you really had to do was wait for him in his trailer, let him shower, get dressed into comfortable clothing and then take him outside.

Simple.

Although, you were just coming out of the trailer, arms full of blankets when he happened to appear.

“And what are you planning?” Karl asks, hands tucked in his Billy Butcher jacket,

So much for being finished ahead of time.

All you do is send him a smile with a shrug of a shoulder, “It’s a surprise,”

No use of complaining now, what exactly could you do? Send him inside the trailer? Tell him to shower while you quickly made small touches? No. He was already there standing a few inches away, looking dashing as ever.

Motioning him with a nod, Karl smiles at you as he quietly follows you until you turn the corner, revealing another blanket on the ground with a couple of pillows on the floor and a medium size lantern on the side.

“Star gazing?” He asks, smile widening as you toss the extra blanket on the ground,

“Well.. I know you don’t really care about parties and stuff so.. I figured this would be better,”

Karl smiles, tugging you towards his chest by your waist, “It’s perfect,”

You smile up at him, loving Hazel orbs staring down at you with a tired, yet, lovable smile. Knowing that he was exhausted but appreciative and willing to spend a few minutes out in the night with you to spend his birthday meant everything to you. However, it meant the world to Karl that you’d still find ways to celebrate his birthday, even if it was beer and pizza, lazy moments on the couch, walks around the parks, and surprisingly sneaking into a drive-in to watch movies, any little thing that you manage to plan meant the world to him.

Just knowing you put your heart into it makes him remember just why he loves you.

“Look! A shooting star!” You say excitedly, pointing up towards the dark sky,

Karl doesn’t look. His focus is only on you. Head leaning on his lap while your feet are stretched out on the blanket. The little light from the lantern on the side and the moon, makes your face glow, basking all your beautiful features, making Karl’s heart flip, making wave of pure warmth, happiness, love wash over his chest.

He honest to God.. loves you.

“Make a wish,”

“Don’t need to.. got everything I want right here,” Karl softly says with a smile, you look up to meet his eyes, smile widening as you let a hand travel through his bearded jaw before gently bringing him down towards your lips.

“I love you,” Karl whispers against your lips, causing a soft happy giggle to escape your mouth,

“I love you too,” You tell him and peck him one last time before you both settle on the ground, talking amongst each other about multiple things, enjoying each other’s warmth, until eventually you both fell asleep in each other’s arms.
