WILLS POV:

today was my first day at hawkins highschool. i got a job offer to come work as a art teacher, who am i to say no!

ive always had a love for art, its my love language. it makes me happy for multiple reasons, not to mention it's relaxing.

i started walking down the empty hall to my empty classroom, quietly humming a queen song.

buzz buzz

i took my phone out of my mom jeans pocket and put my thumb on the bottom to unlock it.

my home screen was a picture of me and my step sister, Jane smiling and holding my childhood cat. Flower. Flower was a small, fluffy, orange cat that everyone adored.

I opened my text messages and saw a message from my mom.

hey sweetie! good luck on your first day at your new job!!!! to celebrate me and hop are having dinner tonight and Jonathan, and Jane is coming into town. are you gonna be able to come?

i quickly turned off my phone and laughed. I saw my classroom that i walked to while texting my mother.

i opened placed my phone facedown on my desk and decided to get to work.

i grabbed a black marker and walked over to the small whiteboard and wrote welcome to art class in cursive. then i grabbed a small sign from my backpack and placed it on my desk.

MR BYERS // HE/HIM

i thought it was important to the students to know it's okay to express who you are and your identity. the kids im teaching are high schoolers, this is when they start learning who they are.

i hope to help with that.

i also grabbed the flag i had in my bag of decorations i brought and put it up on the other corner of the classroom from where the american flag is.

the bell rang and i decided i should stop decorating for today. i opened my door and sat on my desk.

kids started walking in and mumbling greetings. "hello everyone! please pick a seat somewhere, thank you." i explained as more and more kids starting piling in.

once everyone took a seat I stood infront of the class. "okay, welcome everyone to your first art class with me!"

~ ONE WEEK LATER ~

MIKES POV:

I walked down the stairs to the bottom floor and took a left. i pushed up my glasses as i kept reading my lesson planner.

i was out for a week because my mom was sick, shes finally getting a little better. her fever was 102.5! her girlfriend, penelope was out on a business trip, nancy was working at new york times and holly is with my dad so that leaves me.

apparently when i was gone a new art teacher got the job we needed someone to fill. my students say he's cool, nice and caring. i was finally going to meet him as i kept walking to his room.

i saw a man with slightly messy brown hair with paint and paint brushes all around him, sitting on the floor. he had dark green overalls over his white shirt, he was wearing dirty white high tops with frogs drawn all over them. he also was wearing silver butterfly earrings.

he was painting a door with the obvious Van Gogh sunflower painting. he was pretty. like really pretty.

"hey, your the new art teacher right? mr byers?" i asked him, trying not to startle the beautiful boy.

"oh hey! and yeah, i am. you are...?" he turned around to look at me with a large smile. he had yellow smudges of paint on his face and neck.

"im micheal wheeler, the history teacher." i introduced myself. "well hi michael, how come i haven't seen you yet? ive been here for a week." he asked.

"i took the week off, my mom was sick." i said, trying to hide the blush on my face. his face dropped and had a small frown on his face. "oh, i'm sorry... is she better now?" he asked.

"yeah, yeah. her girlfriend is taking care of her." i explained. i noticed the huge smile on his face at that. "that's, amazing. i'm glad shes doing better."

"well, i have to get going. grading papers and such...it was nice to meet you mr byers." i smiled. "please, call me will." he said.

"it was nice to meet you then, will." i smiled, again for the hundredth time during this interaction.

"it was nice to meet you too, mike."

~ TWO MONTHS LATER ~

over the two months mike and will have gotten closer. extremely closer. they even have been going out to dinner every other weekends. mike brings coffee for will everyday and their conversations linger longer than they should when mike is getting the high schoolers from art class.

they both know how they feel about the other one, but they won't do anything about it. will doesn't even know if mike is gay!

they've both have been walking on eggshells around each other. waiting for someone to make a move. but what they don't know is will isn't one to make a first move. but neither is mike.

their students were getting sick of the constant pinning their teachers were doing. so they decided to take matters to their own hands.

RECESS:

there was twelve kids sitting on the bleachers, their faces having a mix of being done and mischief.

"okay, so mr byers and mr wheeler obviously want to get in each other's pants so what should we do?" a strawberry blonde haired teenager said as she stood up infront of all of the other classmates.

she was wearing a black skirt, a vintage grandpa-style sweater, black fishnets and doc martens. her hair was up in a messy bun framing her face with some makeup on her face.

"let's think, lock them in a room together?" a boy suggested. he was wearing tan pants and a red polo. he also had black hair curled in prominent curls.

"that won't work, otis. they will probably talk about boring teacher stuff." a kid next to the boy, otis said.

they were wearing chunky boots and a dress like the one wednesday adams wore. they had black hair with a buzz cut.

"alex is right, they wont make a first move." a mixed girl on the top bleacher said. she was wearing a cardigan and mom jeans and her red -ish brown hair layed down to her back.

"so we will." the strawberry blonde haired woman confirmed.

AFTER SCHOOL:

will was cleaning up the papers on his desk when he saw a note with a heart on it.

weird.

he opened the envelope and read the note.

" dear will, my love is yours if your willing to take it. meet me at the field at 4:30 on the dot. I'll be waiting. love, your secret admirer. "

will felt his cheeks start burning up as he smiled so big his cheeks hurt. he had a secret admirer. someone liked him! he was over the moon and he started packing extremely faster.

what he didn't know was mike also got a note on his desk. he opened it and read it.

" dear mike, i feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love someone. meet me at the football field at 4:30 and I'll try and make you think that aswell. love, your secret admirer <3"

mike felt his heart grow five sizes bigger. he really hopped it was will who wrote this note, it probably was right? he likes van Gogh doesn't he?

the two men walked towards the football field, buzzing with excitement. mike got there first, waiting for his secret admirer to show up. will skipped towards the field to see mike looking nervous.

"mike..?" he asked, shocked.

"will! your the secret admirer?!" mike yelled in surprise. "no! you are!" will exclaimed.

"what..?" they both said in sync.

"shit this backfired." the girl with strawberry blond hair said behind the bushes. "god dammit! now what?" otis asked. "you know what, ill take care of this." alex said as she got up from hiding behind the bushes and ran over to them.

"alex?!" mike and will exclaimed as they saw her. "you two are idiots for teachers! your both so smitten for each other! just make out and get over with it!!!" they yelled.

"how many more are hiding behind the bushes?" mike sighed. the eleven other kids stood up sheepishly and will tried to contain his laughter.

"emma! ill call your parents!" mike threatened when he saw everyone. "no! don't!" the mixed girl from earlier screeched.

"im sure max and lucas would loooove to hear about you engaging in your teachers love life." mike said, putting his hands on his hips.

her face filled up with panic and she started running towards the parking lot. "kids, go before mr wheeler gives you all detention." will giggled and they all walked off leaving the two men with beat red faces.

"soo...you like me?" will asked catching mike off guard. "what! no! i mean, yes but it doesn't have to change anything. this isn't like perfessional but... i do like you but if you don't like me then totally ignore this. its completely fine and-" mike yelled before getting cut off.

will kissed him. mike was shocked at first but eventually kissed back. they pulled away after ten-ish seconds.

neither of them said anything.

they already knew.

The Wheeler Family

When ppl write Mike in their fics I feel like they go a little overboard when it comes to the family dynamic so here are my ideas (plus some miscellaneous hcs)

Ted:

Conservative

Spends all day at work and all evening on the couch, he thinks he deserves it since he’s the breadwinner of the family

He’s very much not aware of his family, he barely pays attention to the kids on a good day. He’s pretty neglectful on that part.

He believes it’s Karen’s job to look after them, to give them advice and console them etc, hence why he doesn’t get involved.

Doesn’t hate his family by any means. He has an idea on how they should appear to other people and how they should function.

Very traditional values basically.

He almost never raises his voice, ‘fights’ are just Karen getting increasingly annoyed, her voice getting louder and louder because Ted just sits there and takes it. Karen will storm off and he’ll turn back to the T.V to let her ‘cool off’

The only time his voice is slightly raised is to reprimand his kids - usually Mike because father son things idk, you get it.

Karen:

She’s a lesbian u can tear that from my cold dead hands.

She knew this even back in high school, and she also knew she would never be able to marry for love so why not marry for convenance - Ted.

She does everything she’s supposed to and that’s still true today.

Is she a conservative? no. She’ll argue with Ted about things they disagree on but it’s difficult for her to really stand up to him, because it feel’s like she’s exposing too much of herself in the process.

Anyway, she’s the housewife she’s supposed to be but she cares for her kids, like so much.

There’s a reason Mike goes to her for support, she’s done nothing but her absolute best raising him, Nancy and Holly.

(She would take their side’s over Ted’s in a heartbeat)

Unhappily married but dealing w it like the queen she is.

She gets the idea Mike’s friends’ home lives might not be the best, it’s the biggest reason she likes hosting them. She’d absolutely bring down little trays of snack foods and constantly offer to make lunch and/or dinner for everyone.

Also, she’s heard about the Mayfields okay? She lets Max stay over constantly, practically shoves old clothes into her arms and sets a place for her at the dinner table every night. Max is an honorary Wheeler at this point.

Nancy:

The older sister - what else is there to say?

Because of the emotional distance in the family neither Nancy nor Mike really understand how to show love and affection to other people.

Nancy adores Mike, of course she does, he’s her brother. She has the overwhelming urge to protect him in the ways she knows how to.

During/after Upside Down era is where this really shines I’d think. She was faced with the very real possibility of her brother dying, and that was terrifying. She’d jump headfirst into danger before he had to any day.

She’s kind but firm I guess. She knows what it’s like to be in high school, she’s just barely graduated herself, so she wants to let Mike be a dumb kid despite everything. She badgers him to let her know when he’s home, where he’s going etc. “I don’t care you’re drinking Michael I care that you’re safe about it.”

She always asks if he’s 100% sure he’s locked his doors and windows before bed.

She likes helping Karen whenever she can.

Her and Mike never talk about their problems to each other but sometimes they’ll go into the other’s room and just hug. Sometimes they’ll have to share a bed just to be sure the other’s alive, or to help with nightmares. They both sleep with a lamp on now, and Mike’s walkie-talkie in range.

HAS ADHD

Mike:

Mike is a middle child…

His role in the family is much more passive tbh

He tries to avoid everyone when necessary, he hates family meal times because they just feel so plastic and fake to him

He spends most of his time in the basement, preferably with other people as distraction. Plus he gets to see a bit more of his mom when there’s friends around, she’s always worried about being a good host.

He’s absolutely dreadful with emotions - his role model has been Ted so we can see how well that’ll go.

‘Friends Don’t Lie’ policy matters because his whole family life is a lie.

ADHD GIFTED KID BURNOUT! After s1 his grades start slipping, the only class he still excels in is english for everything else he asks for homework answers.

Rating Stranger Things Characters Based on How Many C’s are in Their Names

hi welcome to my post Rating Stranger Things Characters on How Many C's are in Their Names. i’m gonna be rating stranger things characters based on how many c’s they have in their names (:

1. coming in first place is lucas sinclair. a few characters have 2 c's in their names, but he's my favorite of them, so he gets first place. 2. next we have scott clarke. could've won with three if it weren't for that pesky k. still love the consonance tho, and his vibe is impeccable 3. erica sinclair comes in last of the 2 c's bc unfortunately her c's stand for capitalism ))): but honestly that's the fault of the writers that is not on her we still love her

okay i'm gonna preface this next section by saying that every character with one c in their name is an absolute queen and i would wife any and all of them

WHERE IS MY SEASON FOUR!? [Contains Spoilers]

Overall Conclusion:

I don’t feel satisfied, like at all.

So much happened and I loved every single bit of it, but it felt too much like a build-up. It actually felt a lot like a season 1 than it did a season 3 (if that makes sense).

I don’t care about Nancy and Jonathan. Their story line bored me from S1. Don’t get me wrong I’m happy they lived and have such a strong relationship between them; but their story line is of no interest for me. They are definite side characters to me that would rank like in the way way lows on my ‘characters of importance list’.

I’m actually really really proud of Karen Wheeler. She said no to temptation and that is admirable. I feel like I owe her an apology because I literally expected the absolute worst of her. As in, I was mentally and inwardly hating on her before I even watched ep1. I feel bad, especially after she had the heart to heart with Nancy.

SO…..

Sorry Mrs Wheeler.

Unexpectedly…. I think I might have a new ship or bromance. Murray and Alexei were just so cute to me. The child like marvel Alexei had was endearing, plus Murray’s attentive enlightening was cool to see. They may have been minor but when they got screen time they really brought the sweet fluff vibes.

I noticed that everyone was split into small groups (probably because they are too big to properly develop altogether as one big group). What stood out to me a lot was the dynamic’s always tended to take on a rather family vibe. Two characters would play the parents roles and the others would act the role of children. For example, Jopper were the parents, Alexei and Murray the children. Steve and Robin were the parents, Erica and Dustin the children etc. Between that, they would also switch it up with a bit of Teenage dramatude (Drama plus attitude). Jopper bickering and Murray calling them out. Jancy having real adult talk about life. Steve and Robin talking about that hard knock life. The teens being actual teens.

Real talk though, I’m proud of the kids.

I felt Lucas had a lot more to offer this season. Although, at times he really did seem a bit clueless, I don’t know. He definitely came off as a bit of a dick sometimes (both him and Mike) towards Will. Glad he chilled out later, said his apologies and stuff. I love the Mileven scenes, but Lucas and Max deserve a tonne of credit for this season.

But Max deserved the most.

I loved Max the second she was introduced, I thought she was awesome. This season I seriously name her the ultimate Wifey/best friend a guy and girl could have. She sticks to her guns, you know. Dating a boy doesn’t change her. She knows who she is and what she wants and fights to get it. She was a GREAT influence and pal to Eleven, exactly what El needed, in my opinion. My heart broke for her when she faced Billy. For whatever reason, I got the impression that she and Billy had bonded or something since Season 2. Either way, it hurt to see Sadie/Max slapped out of the way like that. Then when she cries over Billy- It broke me.

I’m glad Will kind of got a break this season. A little disappointed he didn’t really get to do much, other than be an informant. I spent a lot of the time expecting him to reveal he was actually still infected by the Mind flayer the whole time. Also, no one is going to convince me that Will is not gay or bi. The way he stares after Mike and El every time they run off together says so much. I just- after everything he’s been through, both physical and emotional intimacy is something I think he’d crave a lot of. It’s the gender I think he wouldn’t care about. Regardless, Will needs love and gods someone better give him some next season. Also, did no one else keep thinking he was like Spiderman with his mind flaying senses?

Mike was the real Nerd or Geek boy representative this season. I enjoyed seeing how gangling and similar to S1 he was. It was nice not seeing emo Mike. However, the constant doubt and questioning slowly became a bit much. Frankly, I was relieved when he and Max had that argument. I don’t like Mike when he’s in doubt or unsure on stuff. He was okay, but not really an interest for me this season. As I said, I thought he and Lucas were assholes for their treatment of Will. The car ride he has with Hopper will forever be my favorite scene of Mike’s this season.

I really felt for El this season. She’s been put through so much and-…… It’s still too raw and fresh. I can’t talk about it without getting upset. But to summarize: I’M SO FUCKING PROUD OF HER!!

Dustin. Any chance I get to hear Gaten sing is a blessing to my ears and food for my soul. I love his voice and he is so talented. He’s been my fave since the first episode okay. When no one believed him about Suzie, honest to god I wished I could be there to tell him I believed him or some shit. Beyond that, I laughed when he basically said he won’t tell the others about the Russian message because they didn’t believe him about Suzie. That was so petty but I loved it. The bonding between him and Erica was also great. Regardless… out of all the kids Dustin made me the most proud and is still my favorite.

I live for Erica’s sass, but at some points she did test me a bit.

Or maybe I just wanted her to ease up on the feisty attitude towards my baby Dustin.

Steve and Robin had me fucking scared! When they got captured I was shitting my pants imagining all the worst ways they were going to get tortured. I knew since the promo pics that I would love Robin- because I loved the expression on Maya’s face that promised so much attitude and sarcasm. She wasn’t too much of a nag, and while I had mentally labelled her a lesbian queen in my head. When she confesses to Steve I lost my shit. I fucking lost my shit and had to take a break and everything. Then Steve was perfect with his response. I don’t care Steve Harrington will be revealed as BISEXUAL before this fucking show is over!! He just has to!! He is both a MOM and a DAD!! Let’s just say I need more Steve and Robin scenes in the future. Jancy can get like cut or less scenes ok! I need Steve and Robin!!

Joyce….. I can’t talk about her without-….. I just can’t.

Hopper…. Fuck…… I can’t.

Billy.

Fuck.

Overall.

Stranger things season 3 was so good but just not enough. It was too short- too brief and left me with so much to process!!

SO FUCKING GIVE ME SEASON FOUR YOU SON OF A BITCHES!!!!!!!!

Season 3 Thoughts

!!Spoilers!!

Things I liked about Season 3

- I liked how they actually didn’t chicken out of El dumping Mike, seems like they actually listened to our complaints about their relationship.

- The comedy was absolutely hilarious this season, I found myself giggling and snorting uncontrollably A LOT.

- El and Max’s friendship was absolutely beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Not forced or in a way toxic. Thank you Duffers!

- Robin being the 80’s lesbian queen we deserved.

- Robin and Steve slowly becoming best friends. And not becoming a couple like the show tricked us into thinking so.

- Karen Wheeler actually being a mom to Nancy. Seriously why does no one talk about that scene more? She’s not the best mom but at least she’s a better parent then tED (Or Lonnie if you can call him a parent.)

- The emotional scenes were just as amazing as ever, the raw emotion on each characters face gave me chills and had me sobbing like a baby.

-Erica, I loved her, absolutely loved her. Everything she said was golden.

-Dustin and Suzie’s duet. iT WAS ADORABLE FIGHT ME.

- Hopper and Joyce acting like a married couple.

- Alexei. Just him in general.

- Every time we saw the Flayed or the Mind Flayer in fleshy form. It just gave me absolute goosebumps every time. And honestly the fact that the Mind Flayer is made out of human flesh and when you think one of those people could’ve been Will? yIKES.

- HOPPERS NOTE REALLY GOT ME MAN.

Things I didn’t like about Season 3

- Whyyyyyyy on eARTH. Did they have to start with Mileven making out? Watching it alone was super uncomfortable. Like Come on.

- There was no sibling bonding! I was really hoping for some big sister Nancy moments with Mike. There wasn’t even a Byers brothers scene!

- We still didn’t get a lot of interaction between Will and El. I was really hoping for them to be friends too ;-;.

- Mileven was handled so poorly in this season, like honestly Mike was an idiot, did he even properly apologize to El about lying.

- They did Will dirty. I mean they made him suffer for TWO SEASONS, only to have him look scared for the remainder of the season, and occasionally touch his neck and say “he’s here.” Or something. There was no conclusion to his emotional breakdown! Nada! They did my boy dirty!

- Nancy and Jonathan’s story arc felt really forced to me.

- Joyce Standing up Hopper.

- Lumax didn’t really feel.... real. I mean don’t get me wrong I loved their interactions but most of them were more humor, I don’t think we even got a kiss from them did we?

-What the hell is Nancys hair?

- Mike barely acknowledging Will or Dustin. Even Lucas was concerned about them. With Will I can slide because In the end he did try to apologize. But Dustin? He barely cared! They kept trying to call him which didn’t work, they could’ve at least biked to his house quickly to confirm that they weren’t there.

- Like What Murray said; the bickering between Hopper and Joyce got old. Real fast.

- To me at least, it felt Like Lucas slowly turned into the comic relief. Which completely goes against his character. Like cmon was that Cola scene really necessary?

- Why the hell did no one do anything whenever El was being attacked? Literally when she was being choked by Billy everyone just kinda stood there terrified. Nancy and Mike seemed to be the only ones who helped her until the final battle.

- I was really hoping for Kali to come back, or at least get a tease that we’ll see her again or at least a mention of her name. But nope. There was nothing. Like COME ON! You can’t introduce a character like that and not bring her back, especially when you made her seem more important!

- They did Joyce Dirty, in fact they have done her dirty for they entire show. LET HER FIND LOVE DAMN IT.

- I already expressed in another post how I didn’t like Mike this season, but still I really did not like Mike in this season.

- Why did they treat the Mileven break up as a joke? In fact why did they treat Mileven like a joke in general?

- When El said “I love you too” in the last episode, I didn’t feel anything. Straight up blank face.

- Did Dustin’s mom notice her son was even missing? Did she even try to call the police? What about Steve, Robin or Erica’s families? Were they not concerned at all that their children were missing? Jeez are Joyce and Hopper the only good parents in town?

- I felt like Murray was a tad unnecessary.

- is it weird that I didn’t find the Russians even a little intimidating?

Conclusion: I liked Season Two better.

How are you going to headcanon Billy as straight and homophobic, but then headcanon Karen Wheeler as a lesbian? Like, how? How does this make sense? This is the second time I’ve seen this specific thing. Like, y’all are so willfully ignorant it’s unreal. You will literally ignore the fact that Billy’s dad calls him a homophobic slur, and that Billy has never canonically said or done anything homophobic. You will literally ignore that Karen is a predator, and most of all you will literally ignore the fact that Karen votes Reagan just to be like She’s my MILF Lesbian Queen 😩 Can’t stand y’all.
