Utopía (Kakeru/Mizuho short fic)

Kakeru llegó a casa completamente agotado, con los pies adoloridos contra el piso. Dando una ojeada breve, se fijó también en las pantuflas puestas delante de la entrada, donde Mizuho lo aguardaba camino a la cocina, .

_Tadaima.

_Okaeri._ lo recibió mientras seguía apilando los trastes. Él no dijo nada y se sentó en la silla, impasible. En cuanto trajo la comida a la mesa, ella señaló sus modales con picardía.

_Aun no me dijiste qué tal te fue.

Kakeru no dijo nada y siguió comiendo, lo que menos necesitaba era amargar el día de su mujer.

_Te olvidaste de agradecer...🎶

Juntaron sus manos e hicieron una reverencia antes de continuar cenando.

_Tadakimasu...

La sopa estaba caliente, y con un frío invernal como lo hacía hoy, era más que apetecible una cena bien humeante. Cuando éste relajo sus dedos, Mizuho los atrapó en un agarre gentil, sumando una sonrisa tierna a su rostro.

_Ne, Kakeru..._ susurró contenta, manteniendo paz en su hablar _¿Te acuerdas de la vuelta en bicicleta? ¿De la broma que hicimos acerca de atraernos?.

Él asintió breve, dando otro sorbo a su sopa.

_Hasta ahora recuerdo cuando me dijiste que yo quería algo contigo.

Se rió con tal ternura que hasta su recibido se contagió del buen ánimo.

_Bueno, algo de razón tuve ¿No? Además, si no querrías nada conmigo, tú no habrías aceptado formar una banda juntos, ¿No lo crees, querido?.

Kakeru se sonrió entre dientes, por poco escupiendo su comida.

Maldición, ella tenía un punto.

Y aún así le costaba admitir las veces que era derrotado, o sea, varias.

_De todas formas... Eso fue hace más de diez años..._ recordó, nostálgica. El otro la observaba entre una mezcla de seriedad y anticipación. No fue hasta que ella entrelazó sus manos que sintió un calor familiar, acogedor, el significado de volver a estar en casa. La pequeña argolla metálica en su dedo, brillaba con un destello chispeante bajo la frágil luz del comedor.

_Hace más de diez años, tú y yo nos conocimos, Kakeru, y me hace realmente feliz que hoy podamos estar juntos._ con ojos entrecerrados, le ofreció un apretón cariñoso, frotando sus dedos juntos _Feliz aniversario, Kakeru.

Apartando su tazón del lugar, correspondió su agarre con una sonrisa tímida. Su amor era la única razón por la cual seguía vivo.

_Feliz aniversario, Mii. Siento no haberte traído nada.

En un ambiente tan romántico, casi idílico, ella encuentra tierna su disculpa.

_No es nada, osito. Tenernos aquí ya es suficiente para mí_ hizo una pausa, cambiando intencionalmente su voz a una más seria a modo de juego _Pero todavía sigo esperando mi helado.

Ambos rieron por el chiste inesperado, y luego de mirarse durante un rato, se dieron un beso casto seguido de un abrazo.

¿Existían malas noches si es que Mii estaba a su lado?

Envuelto en el abrazo, Kakeru mantuvo sus ojos cerrados, dejando que su calor lo arrope cual manta cálida.

Y después, los abrió.

Mizuho no estaba, de hecho, él seguía encerrado en su armario. No había casa, ni cena, y Kakeru aún vivía con sus padres. Todo, absolutamente todo fue una simple utopía, en un futuro donde él y Mii podrían haber sido felices juntos, pero él sólo permanecía ahí, acostado con los ojos ensanchados.

Sólo fue un sueño más del montón.

No obstante, Kakeru sólo esperaba que en algún momento ese día llegue.

Y volviéndose a cubrir con las sábanas, se dispuso a continuar durmiendo.

Plot

Yamazaki Kento played as a 15-year-old boy named Kakeru in frigid Wakkanai, Hokkaido who’s trying to figure out where he belongs. One day, he meets a transfer student named Mizuho (Ai Hashimoto). He finds an old guitar in a storeroom and starts a band with Mizuho, whom he’s decided reminds him of the character Little My from the Moomin story book and cartoon series.

Howl’s Moving Castle - ghibli magic, makes me cry, music is beautiful, watch this film when I’m ill

Bridget Jones Diary - cheesy, hilarious and feel good chick flick

Kingsman - action, comedy and slightly gory. It’s fucking fantastic.

Kanseitou (control tower) - Japanese indie film about a high school couple that has Galileo Galilei songs as the soundtrack, its artsy and a bit weird but has a big place in my heart

Kimi no na wa (your name) - the whole atmosphere of this film is amazing. The music (radwimps are so good ffff), the scenery, the characters, the plot. It’s just so beautiful and good aaaah

Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva - yes they made a movie and yes it’s brilliant. (I have it on DVD somewhere) I was pretty much the only person I know/knew who was so into this series at the time so I guess it brings me back to 9 year old me’s childhood surrounded by Nintendo games?
