In an Instagram video shared on Monday, the actress expressed her gratitude to fans for their overwhelming support for the film. However, she also shared her pain over the film’s exclusion from Punjab, a region where her movies have traditionally performed well. Ranaut lamented that while her films were once expected to do well in Punjab, Emergency was being denied a release in the state due to protests by various Sikh organizations and political groups. Actors, Celebs Take Selfies At New Ram Temple.

A huge group of actors and celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Chiranjeevi, and couples Alia Bhatt-Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif attended the Ram temple's consecration in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya today. Filmmakers Rohit Shetty and Rajkumar Hirani; actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Madhuri Dixit Nene along with her husband Sriram Nene, and producer Mahaveer Jain also came to the temple town.

Many were seen clicking selfies at their seats when Prime Minister Narendra Modi started addressing people. Some of those seen taking selfies were Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Rohit Shetty, Katrina Kaif, Ayushmann Khurrana, Madhuri Dixit, Rajkumar Hirani, Akash Ambani, and Vicky Kaushal.

Anupam Kher, who reached Ayodhya on Sunday, said regardless of religion, the country has come together today. Kangana Ranaut, who reached Ayodhya on Saturday, said it appears as if she has been transported into a "pauranik kaal". She also posted a series of her pictures from the temple site.

Tuesday, a Mumbai court dismissed Kangana Ranaut's extortion claim against lyricist Javed Akhtar. The case is centred on her and Hrithik Roshan's public argument. In her petition, she claimed that in March 2016, Akhtar had summoned her and her sister Rangoli Chandel to his home and asked her to apologise to Hrithik Roshan.

According to India Today, a Magistrate court in Mumbai stated, "Asking a person to give a written apology will not come under the definition of valuable security....because no legal right is created, extended, transferred, restricted, extinguished or released"

The plea claimed, "However, the accused, with a malafide intention and ulterior motive, called her and her sister Rangoli Chandel at his house in Juhu in the month of March 2016 and criminally intimidated and threatened the complainant (Kangana Ranaut) as well as forced her to tender a written apology to the co-star thereby forcefully seeking to create a document (valuable security)in favour of her co-star."

It all started when Ranaut was accused of making defamatory statements about Akhtar in an interview following the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput on July 14, 2020. In response, Akhtar accused her of defamation in 2020. Following this, Ranaut accused Akhtar of asking her to apologise to Hrithik Roshan in the current complaint.

In accordance with Sections 383, 384, 387, 503, 506, 509, 44, and 30 of the IPC, Kangana Ranaut filed the complaint. But it was issued in accordance with Sections 506 and 509.
