The top 100 “comics sold at Amazon

Amazon's comics rankings are distributed weekly (from Sunday to Saturday) in cooperation with Amazon. This time, the rankings will be delivered from September 15th to September 21st.

"The fifth bride" is the top! "Dungeon rice" is again ...!

This week's number one is “The Bride for Five”, Volume 11. A spring comedy that has been serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine” since 2017. TV animation started in January 2019, and the second stage production has also been decided, and a hot eye is being poured.

The second place was “Dungeon Rice” 8 volumes. Gourmet fantasy manga that breaks through dungeons while cooking monsters appearing in fantasy works using existing cooking methods. From the 4th week of August, it has been keeping the ranking within 3rd for about 1 month. I want to pay attention to how far the ranking can be maintained.

The third place is “Kaguya-sama wants to tell ~ genius' love brain war ~” 16 volumes. This is a TV anime broadcast from January 2019. A live-action movie starring Murasaki Hirano and Kanna Hashimoto has been released since September 6, 2019.

Ai Kayano Voices The Heroine Once Again in Boarding School Juliet Manga's Final Chapter Memorial PV

  Yosuke Kaneda's romantic comedy manga Boarding School Juliet finally ends its four-year serialization in this year's 40th issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine released today in Japan. It was first ran in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine from July 2015 to June 2017, then has moved to the weekly magazine since its 43rd issue of 2017. Its next 15th tankobon volume is set to be released on September 17, then its final 16th volume will follow on November 15.

  To commemorate the manga's conclusion, Weekly Shonen Magazine's official YouTube channel has posted a three-minute special PV to introduce its final chapter's story with the voice of Ai Kayano, who played the main heroine Juliet Persia in the 12-episode TV anime adaptation aired in October-December 2018.

Masakazu Katsura's Teen Romance Manga "I"s" Gets Live-Action TV Drama in 2018

Japanese digital satellite broadcaster SKY PerfecTV! announced today on October 30 that a live-action drama adaptation of Masakazu Katsura (Video Girl Ai, DNA², ZETMAN)'s teen romance manga I"s will be aired on its BS Skaper channel and streamed on Skaper On Demand service sometime in 2018. This is the second live-action adaptation based on the author's manga work, follwoing Denei Shoujo/Video Girl Ai directed by Ryu Kaneda (Garo series) in 1991.

  Katsura says, "I appreciate so much because the staff are filled with love for the manga. I have been involved in many things, so I am really looking forward to the day it is completed!"

  It was also confirmed that 23-year-old actor Amane Okayama (Yosuke Sasaki in Teiichi: Battle of Supreme High, Satoshi Fukube in Hyouka) is cast as the protagonist Ichitaka Seto, who is in his second year of high school in the beginning of the manga story. Other cast members will be kept

secret till next spring. The shooting has already begun and is scheduled to continue till the next year.

  The manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump from 1997 to 2000. It compiled in 15-

volume regular edition tankobon, 12-volume perfect edition, and nine-volume bunko edition. They

have reportedly printed over 10 million copies in total in Japan. the manga was previously adapted into

two OVA series: two-volume "From I"s ~Mouhitotsu no Natsu no Monogatari" in 2002-2003 and six-

volume "I"s Pure" in 2005.

Rena Takeda Shows Her Heroine Cosplay in "Juliet of Boarding School" Manga CMs

Kodansha released the latest 4th tankobon volume of Yosuke Kaneda's Kishuku Gakkou no Juliet/Juliet of Boarding School love comedy manga and its light novel adaptation written by Tadahito Mochizuki today in Japan, and also posted three live-action CMs featuring 19-year-old popular actress Rena Takeda as the main heroine Juliet Persia on the special campaign site. Takeda is known as Yuzuki Fuwa in the Assassination Classroom live-action films (2015-2016), Chiyo Kurihara in the Prison School TV drama (2016), and is currently playing Kana Ikeda in the Saki live-action series.

  The comedy manga series loosely inspired by William Shakespeare's classic play Romeo and Juliet was first published as a one-shot story in the January 2015 issue of Kodansha's monthly Bessatsu Shonen Magazine, then has been serialized in the magazine since its August issue of the year. As with the based play, the story focuses on the secret love between Romio Inuzuka (Black Doggy House) and Juliet Persia (White Cats House). The writer of the novel adaptation, Tadahito Mochizuki was the

winner of the 3rd Kodansha Light Novel Bunko Newface Awards in 2013.
