“ Ah ... I -- I don’t know if I want to try. ” Akihiko stared at the spoon full of ice cream that approached his face. He already leaned himself back immediately as Yu moved it closer to his mouth. Sweets were never his favorite and certainly not something he could eat. His taste buds were just not ... prepared for that sort of thing. He was capable of eating lemons, rime and all, but ice cream? It was not something he could swallow down.

“ D -- Don’t you want to save all the ice cream for yourself ... ? So you don’t have to miss a single bite? ” Sweat began to appear on his brow at the thought of the intense sweet taste. He tried it before when Yu was a child and Akihiko treated him to an ice cream parlor. But little did he know, Yu was much like a gremlin and had him eat several bites of ice cream with him. He had made faces that made the young child laugh until his stomach hurt back then and now, Akihiko was sure this would happen again. He was preparing himself mentally but physically? He doubt he could prep himself for that.

                         “So you wanna hire me to help make your Christmas dinner for Dojima and Nanako?” He had to chuckle at Yu’s offer-- while he may have seen them go up to Chagall Cafe for a nice special lunch or dinner, this was a far more festive occassion that deserves a grand feast. Watching over him and the Investigation Team, perhaps this was what they needed for a nice break. “Sure. Got anything you want me to cook? Let me know what recipes you want.”

                      while trying to rush back from the store ( her brother would send an army after all if she took long after all ),  she had ran straight into the boy as he was turning a corner.  ignoring the vast amount of items she had just bought scattered everywhere,  she helped the other get up.  //  @kaminaru

         “Big...Big Bro?” Each word is a great deal of effort to her, having to stop in between to take deep as possible breaths to try to stay awake. But she doesn’t want to stop, she wants to keep trying and to actually converse with her Big Brother before she eventually falls back asleep. “I...I don’t like this dress. I want my pink one...”

nails tapped lightly a bunch of times on the glossy and smooth surface of the glass lying in front of the girl on top of a wooden table, filled to the brim with colorful ice cream; even though sitting on that bench was resulting to be more uncomfortable than what she had imagined, it wouldn’t have been enough to make her leave at once. as much as the concept of spare time resulted more precious than ever – especially now that she had finally experienced, firsthand, what running out of it for vital matters, and work too, did mean  –  the low, rigid bench she was sitting onto, the heat outside and the noise coming from other people hanging around the open patio of Junes Mall, in Yasoinaba, were the least of her problems. plus, that was all in order to relax under the invitation of the boy, right ?  so kind of him, to remember of Mitsuru and her group too, even if for such a brief time - all it was given them to relax, for now. 

even though, it did all mainly relate to her routine and day of work of duties. one visit there, a chance to enjoy sweets together with some old friends. truly an exquisite and alternative exception and the sweetest way to bend one way too rigid lifestyle.

         «  Your hospitality is truly wonderful, so much it amazes me. I will         try and use my time here as much as I can, at the best of my time         left and capabilities. Thank you. I’ll try my best.  »

hard to say when duty would have called her again, unexpectedly even. such relaxation and mindless attitude she was merely tasting ever so passingly, couldn’t have lasted - as the boy had mentioned, as much and as long as she truly did prefer. but still, Mitsuru smiled softly at the invitation being prolonged; their hideout by the Mall, on that pleasant sunny afternoon, actually being offered as an entertaining place where Mitsuru could try to know not only the boy better, but his companions and Users as well. time well spent. which did bring her back, too, with her memories, and made her feel glad, for once, of not being absorbed either in her adored books or studies.

”Doin’ what?” Ryuji’s features skimmed down into a strained stance of thought at the word. Where in the hell did he hear that one before? Even with his broad line of conversations, what Yu did was go and throw him a new one. Thankfully context clues and figuring out people’s styles of talking was one of those street raised talents. What else could people be constantly doing but this? His lips twisted into stubborn disapproval as he snorts at him. “C’mon man.”

“Y’know full well you coulda went and said they were doing some growing. Coulda agreed with you sooner on that one!” He pipqued up before a moment of laughter followed the statement. There was no denying what he said. In the case of some, it was definitely more unique in others. Ryuji slowly drew his calloused fingers over his chest at the idea. Drumming inside of him after all was a form of potential they both shared yet vastly differed in.

“Feels like there’s no other way we can keep up or keep truckin’ unless we do.”

“I know if I wanna make sure my ma is in the well off and comfy life, it’s not just stronger I gotta get either. Gotta be a helluva lot smarter too.” Oddly a heavier weight then intended were carried in those words. Not even the speaker realized it.

He was more prepared to deal with the struggles to come.
