I was talking about this to a friend a few weeks ago, but I love how Kamille basically starts and ends Zeta Gundam with the same motive - righting a wrong - but the way he internalizes it shows how much he's grown (spoilers below).

Like, when he goes awol and steals the MK II, he's solely in it to pay back the MP who physically assaulted him (which also I could go into a whole other conversation about... dude why did you turn back around when a gundam crashed into the military facility???? anyway). He wants to get revenge for being looked down on, from being toyed around with by the officers on the sidelines. It's a very self-centered and almost egotistical drive.

By the time he's fighting Scirocco however, the rationale is different. Yes, he's still calling out Scirocco for doing much of the same as the MP - watching from the sidelines, messing with people - but Kamille's a changed man. He's now a formal pilot, but he's also learned to love and to lose people, and he's learned that he has the potential to be something more for them. And so he couches this intent in the framework of "sacrificing his life" for it - for a bigger cause, for the people who he cares about.

Until it swallows him whole.

trying to watch ZZ right after Z gundam is actually really fucking hard. I don't think I'd mind the tone shift if there was a little more seperation between the series, but having zz pick up literally right after z is pissing me off.

Fa is so real for being mad the entire time like you just saw all your friends die, Kamille's lost it, and now the ship is being manned by a bunch of 14 year old highschool dropouts fucking around while she and the rest of the old crew are still just trying to survive.

I have no idea why sunrise had ZZ be Z's second cour its so bizzare and they both suffer for it. the zeta cast [Fa] just gets shoved to the side before they've really had a proper conclusion while the ZZ cast just feel like an annoying intrusion.

If they had just given them like a year long timeskip and had all the Z stuff come in as flashbacks once the ZZ plot actually started happening then the tonal dissonance might have been a lot milder and we'd get the opportunity to care about the new characters without the baggage of Z's ending. That's basically what they did with Char's axis stuff and i think it worked there

H. Rocha had fair chances as he raised his game since the second set, but there were several errors that prevented him to nail some crucial points toward the end of the match, which Kamil took advantage of through his drop shots to assist his point construction in general. As a result, even if H. Rocha created 10 break points, Kamil optimized his chances more by converting 63% of his 8 break points.

On the other hand, it appeared that each player had their own service game strengths. H. Rocha might have fired twice more aces than Kamil (8 to 4), which allowed him to nail his first serves by 6% with a 69% winning percentage compared to Kamil's 63%, but it was insufficient to get him out of trouble as his 3 double faults only faded his second serve winning percentage 21% below Kamil as the match progressed.

This marked Kamil's second Challenger title of the year after the Kigali 1 Challenger title, propelling his rank to 205, which is sufficient to get him back to the Grand Slam qualifying range by the US Open as he steadily picked up where he left off. His next tournament would be his home Challenger in Poznan, as he will face wild card Viacheslav Bielinskyi in the first round. This could be tough, but surely a fun match to follow!

After so much muder drama and fear to the monster in the attic i love watching Kamille giving no fucks about it and going to fight the monster herself, same girl.

Also im so excited to see more of her being or trying to be a better friend to Julia, protecting her and worrying about her. Season 1 was from Julias pov and the desesperation of not knowing anything about the situation you are in, but this one seems to be more light in that sense (im sure Miriam is gonna stab us with sad backstories in any moment)

Also its so funny that Julia didnt tell anyone about the monster and now we see characters going "oh yeah the monster in the attic, tonnys bestie"

Im starting to suspect Dotty has something to do with Julias contract wich is so dumb because why would she ever kill Tonny but i dont know i cant trust anyone there except my sun Kamille and Rainah and i guess Sahed because he dont know shit either

Episode 25:

(Julia stands on a balcony and looks in the direction of Sahed's window/balcony (?) and wonders) „Ah, he turned on the light. He's in his room then. He's weird....what did he mean by showing me everything...?” she blushes „Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself, but...” Kamille Interrupts her thoughts, Julia realizes that she almost thought something she "shouldn't" and tries to make the thoughts disappear „What the heck am I thinking?! He is the guy Kamille Likes! Sahed stinks! He stinks, Julia, get it through your head!”

Episode 28:

Sahed (flirts/teases Julia): „that's a cute outfit. You shouldn't ruin it by wearing a blouse underneath.”

Julia (flustered): „why don't you mind your own business?”

Sahed: „Business is why I'm here. Look [...] As soon as it gets dark, I want you to go to that bridge and do the task I'm going to ask you. And then meet me in my room.”

Julia (blushes): „You want me to go to your room? At night?”

Episode 30:

Julia calls Sahed an Ah'kon instead of three eyes.

Episode 31:

Julia changes to Sahed's clothes, he dries her. (Julia blushes slightly and thinks to herself) „that was unexpectedly kind of him. It feels nice.”

Episode 32:

Sahed (blushes slightly): „That was pretty cool, huh?”

Julia (blushes): „Absolutely not! It was terrifying!

Sahed: „Deep down, I'm sure you like it.”

Julia: „I don't!”

Her development. The Jathar situation. Sahed being surprised/shocked by her reaction/her change

Rainah: „Ah, Julia! Are you here to see Sahed?” she thinks to herself „I don't know if these two have some sort of romance or planning another nationwide crime. Knowing Sahed, it could be both.”

Julia (blushes): „Don't call me that!”

Julia: „Sahed...you do trust me then.”

Sahed: „huh?”

Julia: „It's the first time that you've explained something to me, instead of talking in riddles.”

Sahed: „Ah...yeah, I guess I do.”

Julia blushes, looks away and changes the conversation

Episode 42:

(Julia thinks to herself) „Wait. So Kamille doesnt like Sahed?” (She blushes intensely)

All the reasons that held her "forbidden thoughts" back, couldn't withstand them anymore

Episode 44:

Sahed: „Shhh! Be quiet!”

Julia: „Sahed! You scared me!”

Sahed (looks down, blushes slightly): „...What a cute outfi-”

Julia (blushes): „Not now, Sahed!”

He then asks her how she's feeling, and suggests that he could kill Tonny instead.

[...]

Julia: „Okay...take me back home...after saving Jathar.”

Sahed: „Yes...after that.”

Episode 46:

Dotty: „Aww, that's cute! I guess planning a murder can be romantic if you put enough macabre imagination into it.”

Omgomgomg! Episode 59 was so good! 😭

Spoilers ahead!

This chapter really helped me understand our girl Julia and how her interactions with others influenced and still influence her decisions.

1. Kamille and Julia’s friendship. I really like that Kamille is opening up to Julia, and being sincere about everything. Now it all makes so much sense. Why Kamille wasn’t as thrilled to have Julia there in the circus, as well as why Kamille kept ignoring Julia or didn’t seem to care about Julia’s feelings. Of course, i’m not excusing Kamille, but i can better understand her. Julia did abandon her friend and dismissed Kamille’s feelings growing up. I can see how Kamille would feel abandoned and why she would ultimately prefer to leave everything behind, because not even her friend (Julia) seemed to care.

2. Julia’s “goody-two-shoes” act isn’t out of character. This is someone she became (albeit unwillingly) for the sake of her father. It came from a place of guilt. Which brings me to Sahed and Tonny’s influence on Julia.

3. Sahed brought back the old Julia. Let’s start with Sahed. There is no denying now that Julia was truly who she’s meant to be with Sahed. She was her true self. She was curious, inquisitive, and adventurous. She also thought for herself and cane to her own conclusions. All the things she used to be before she got lost in the woods. But we know this changed, and while i was confused as to why she completely chose to ignore Sahed, now i understand why.

4. It was because of an ah’kon that she got lost and her father worried about her. Miriam is so amazing for this, how she connected all the little dots. Of course she doubted Sahed when she first met him, how could she not when she has such a traumatic experience with an Ah’kon. But even then, she chose to trust Sahed, but we all know how that went. Once again, because of an ah’kon she did something wrong and, once again feelings of guilt resurface, so what does she do? She goes back to doing everything by the book.

5. Sahed and Tonny bring out two different Julia. Sahed brings out her best version, her true curious and adventurous self; however, Tonny brings out the uptight person she forced herself to become. That doesn’t mean that one is better than the other, this is also not about shipping, but about character development. Tonny wants Julia that sticks to rules and leave everything to him without questioning anything, much like the society in which she lived (Kalgratt). Sahed wants her to explore, to question things, and encourages her to think for herself. He definitely messed up, but his intentions weren’t entirely selfish. We see him helping her understand Kalgratt for what it truly is. If Julia could balance the two, and stop going to one extreme, i’m sure her life would be less complicated.

I have so much more to say, but i’m gonna shut up for now lol. This is only my opinion of course. I’m sorry if this was too long or if i rambled too much, but wow this chapter was so GOOD, i had to!
