Sometimes I worry when I see “romantic” nonsense circling about the interwebz, especially when the ideas are as toxic as what I’ve been seeing lately. Words that boast of love being about having each other memorized and being able to read the other person’s mind. In theory, I guess I can see how the idea that the one you love knows you so well that you don’t even have to speak for them to know what’s in your mind, or in your heart, but in reality that’s the least romantic thing I can think of, not to mention an insane notion to base “true love” on. True love is a choice, in fact, it’s a series of choices. It doesn’t magically fall into your arms, and it isn’t easy. The basis of a good relationship is communication, so the idea that real love doesn’t need words is just not true. And how boring would love be if the other person always knew exactly what you wanted, or what you felt? To me here’s nothing more beautiful and comforting than the tight hug that follows the duel of apologies after Kameron and I have any size of disagreement due to the fact that WE CANNOT READ EACH OTHER’S MINDS. Because we are human people, and expecting someone to know what you want from them without your input, no matter how well they know you, or how much they love you is just unrealistic and unhealthy. I don't get anxiety about a lot of things, but when I do this guy is always 100% behind me. Meaning that when I'm 15 minutes early for an appointment, he'll wait with me in the car so that I can avoid sitting without purpose in a place that makes my stomach turn to knots. After nearly four years of talking Kam's ear off about @calebdanger and #TheMightySequoyah and shoving their music down his throat as often as I could until he loved them almost as much as I do, he finally heard it live tonight. The music of The Mighty Sequoyah has meant so much to me for what feels like such a long time. They were one of the first bands I heard when I first started going to Velour and they were the first I really connected to musically. One of their shows was where I first met and became friends with some of my all time favorite people (#73northcrew), including beautiful @mariemichellediamond who was there soaking it in with us tonight. If I could have I would have had them play at my wedding reception, that would have been ideal. I'm just never not in the mood to listen to TMS, so it was a little bitter sweet as this show came to an end and saying goodbye to TMS is a teensy bit heartbreaking, but just from what I heard tonight, I know that Caleb will continue to take care of my musical soul as he continues to write his music ❤️❤️❤️ RIP TMS. #velourlive #kamandruth #listenlocalprovo

Thanks to Kameron's wicked and ridiculous attention to detail we were both recognized as #ScottandRamona and even had people ask to have their picture taken with us. Kam made my hammer, and bag and put together my outfit, all I did was dye my hair green and wear what he told me to, and I think we were pretty successful. It was definitely a fun day with mr pilgrim by my side, and we might never have had this opportunity were it not for our great friends, #theCosithrups! I saw #SeanAstin and #ChristopherGorham! If I have one regret, it's that I didn't snag a picture with the best #HoneyLemoncosplay ever! She was perfect!
