ॐ List of Hanuman Hundred Temples ★ ॐ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Let us make it a point to visit an ancient temple at every opportunity. || Jai Hanuman Jai Sriram || ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ There is a Tamil adage that none ought to live in an area where there is no temple - "Koil illa oorril kutierukka vendaam". This is indeed a meaningful statement for, the temple does radiate a divine and pure atmosphere which elevates the mental and spiritual levels of those who live in the vicinity. It is all the more important that the temple is built in accordance with rules prescribed in the Agamic texts so as to radiate the divinity benefiting the people. While this is applicable to all temples built for the worship of the presiding deity, devotees from his part goes to temple with faith and offer his prayer with all sincerity. Today in India there are innumerable Anjaneya temples that are built in accordance with the Agama rules and consecration of deities and performance of pujas made as prescribed. But only very few attain the Greatness that had been seen by the time. In time to come some of the temple losses its glory, for reasons best known to Sri Anjaneya Swami. The daily pujas, however, may continue and may never be interrupted during the intervening period. Nevertheless the temple remains in obscuration for some time. Many reasons could be attributed for this, but in my view the main cause could be that of the devotees' mind and concentration, the relation that he develops with Him. If the temple has to radiate a divine and pure atmosphere, which could, elevates the mental and spiritual level of the devotee, then devotee also has to go to the temple with pure mind and with sanctified intention. They reciprocate to each other thus they aid each other. Many seers, poets, sants, and devotees who had not asked anything for their self must have visited the ancient temples. Lots of prayers must have been offered. As the diamond glitters more with the fine cuttings, so also the temple does radiate a divine and pure atmosphere when more devotees with sanctified mind and intention offer their prayer there. He is the giver, hence don't ask, and for he gives even before you ask, for he knows what you required to be equipped with. Addressing a gathering of the Lingayat community in Kalaburgi district in North Karnataka on Friday, Sarangadhara Deshikendra Swami, the seer of Srishaila Saranga mutt said he wanted Yediyurappa to complete the tenure and the BJP to return to power in the next elections. But he went on to say that Yediyurappa will not be able to continue in the office if his demand to induct Revoor in the Cabinet is not fulfilled. Dattatreya C Patil Revoor, a 37-year-old two-time legislator represents Kalaburagi South Legislative Assembly. ldquo; If Yediyurappa led government fails to induct Dattatraya Patil Revoor into the cabinet within a year then I can ask at least 10 BJP MLAs from Kalyana-Karnataka region to resign, rdquo; Swami said. ldquo; If Yediyurappa makes Revoor minister, his government will be in office for the next three years. If not, I will ask him (latter) also to resign, as does not need to be in politics anymore because he has a house, many acres of agricultural land, business and is very rich, rdquo; he added. Last month, Yediyurappa lost his temper at a public event after Lingayat seer Vachanananda Swami, who was sharing the stage with him, demanded ministerial berths for three legislators from the community. Addressing the lsquo;Hara Jatrersquo; event in Harihar area of Davanagere district, Swami, the pontiff of Veerashaiva Lingayat Panchamasali Mutt, said, ldquo; There are 13 legislators from the community in the state. At least a minimum of three MLAs should be given ministerial berths. Former minister Murugesh Nirani helped you a lot, he must be given a minster post in the cabinet. If you donrsquo;t give the post, whole Veerashaiva Lingayat Panchamasali community will withdraw the support.rdquo; Irked by his statement, Yediyurappa rose from his seat to leave the venue. ldquo; You should not speak in this manner. You can give suggestions but should not make such demands. If you continue to speak in this way, I will walk out of the event, rdquo; Yediyurappa said while touching seerrsquo;s feet. He was later pacified and persuaded by the seer to stay back. At the same time, the seer demanded that this was not his personal demand but of the community.

Swamy Ramanuja and Thirupavai Pasuram 20
PASURAM 20 (MUPPATHU MOOVAR)
In this pasuram, the phrases “seppamudayaay”, “thiraludayaay” fit perfectly for Swami Ramanuja. There is a character (kalyaana gunam) known as “Aarjavam”. What one thinks, one should talk about it and do it. In other words, mano, vaak and kaayaam, all these three should be synchronized. As Andal puts is “vaayinaal paadi, manathinaal sindithu, thoomalar thoovi thozhudhu”. One who does it is said to possess “Arjavam”. Swami Ramanuja himself would repeat it in his gadhya thrayam when he bundles up a set of kalyana gunams for Perumal, “maardhava, aarjava…” etc. The thamizh word for “aarjavam” is “seppam”. Whenever we recite Swami Ramanuja’s divine works, we can see that it reflects this great quality of “seppam” / “arjavam” in it. What Swami thinks (not his own but all his poorvacharyars only), writes in his works and abides by that.
Thiral udayaay – Thiral refers to “Paraabhivana saamarthyam”, i.e, quality by which Swami Ramanuja emerges like a fire that has water in it and quells / ensures that there are no arguments of his opponents (neeru pootha nerupu pole irundhu idhara vaadhigalin dhurvaadhangal thalai eduka ottaadhapadi seydharulm aatralum swamiku asaadharanam).
“Setraar” – One who is not able to tolerate the glories of Perumal. Swami Paraasara Bhattar says “Guninamapi gunais tham dharidhraanaam ahuhu”. These “setraar” are those people who say that Perumal is “sarva dharidhran”.  To those people, swami was like a “veppam” / heat. (setraarku veppam kodukum vimalan).  “Veppam” means “jvaram”, i.e., jvaram due to peedhi. “thasmai ramanujaarya namaha parama yogini, yachruthi smrithi soothraanaam anthar jvaramasee samath”. Swami annihilated the “jvaram” that was given to sruthi, smrithi and soothrams by the setraars. Where did Swami let the jvaram go? Swami let that go inside the hearts of these same “setraars”. Recollect how Hanuman burnt Lanka. How did he burn that, with which fire? Is it with the fire that the rakshasaas set up in his tail? Not at all. As they say, “shokavahnim janagaathmajaayaa aagaaya denaiva thadaaha lankaam”, Hanuman set Lanka on fire with the heat inside Piraati that was caused due to her sadness of separation from Lord Rama. This heat was given to Piraati by the Lankan people and Hanuman used the same heat and set the whole country on fire. The same way, the setraar who gave heat to the shruthi, smrithi and soothram, was burnt by the same heat that Swami Ramanuja used and took to annihilate their arguments. (Sruthi smrithi soothrangalin anthar jvarathai eduthu setraar vayitril erindha padi)
Swami Ramanuja, who was an incarnation of Aadisesha, at one point in Thondanur, showed his real form by answering 1000 people with 1000 tongues of Aadisesha. These 1000 people were having different arguments and points of conflicts. Swami totally destroyed all their arguments.
Swami Thiruvarangathamudhanar’s Ramanuja nootrandaadhi pasurams for this point:
Pidiyai thodarum kalirenna yaan un pirangiya seer
Adiyai thodarum padi nalga vendum aru samaya
Chediyai thodarum marul serindhor sidaindhoda vandhu ip
Padiyai thodarum raamanusa mikka pandidhane
         -Ramanuja Nootrandaadhi 63
Pan tharu maaran pasunthamizh aanandham paai madhamaai
Vindida engal iraamnusa muni vezham meimai
Konda nal vedha kozhundhandam yendhi kuvalayathe
Mandi vandhendradhu vaadhiyargaal ungal vaazhu atradhe
         -Ramanuja Nootrandaadhi 64
Also recollect the following lines in vaazhi thirunaamam of Swami:
“Arusamaya chediyadhanai adi aruthaan vaazhiye
Adarndhu varum kudhitigalai arathurandhaan vaazhiye”
