dinner date with kalvin ☁️

"i'm back-" you'd holler through the hallway, head swooping around the kitchen door expecting to be faced with a pile of dishes but your eyes would widen in surprise as they'd meet the sight of a candle-lit table. kalvin would just be stood there proudly, hands clasped behind his back as he'd gaze at you with that cheeky smile across his face.

and you'd not know whether to cry or scream at the lengths that he'd gone to: rose petals sprinkled between a bottle of white wine, plates and cutlery laid across the table top, the flicker of a few candles that he'd rummaged for in the back of the cupboard illuminating the kitchen in a dim amber glow. the scent of the meal he'd spent hours on would waft through the room as you'd scurry over towards him, a kiss being planted hastily on his lips as you'd feel him grin harder.

"c'mon, it's gonna' get cold," he wouldn't want to pull away from you but he also wouldn't want your food to go to waste, his fingers falling from your face as he'd pull at the chair next to you both, cocking his head to the side as he'd wait for you to take a seat.

you'd both tuck in, stealing glances from each other over small talk, both of you basking in the presence of the other after the hectic schedule you'd both been faced with. and the conversations would drift from how your week had been to how he felt about the season starting back up again - stumbling over your words as he'd stare at yours lips with a yearning haze in his eyes.

"i wish we could do this every night," you'd pout as he'd start piling the plates, his hand brushing against yours as he'd laugh along with you, eyebrows furrowing in amusement as you'd start rambling about who was going to be allocated the washing up. and of course it was only fair that you'd be lumbered with the task, kalvin's shoulders shrugging as he'd point at the half-washed pans that he'd started on before you'd gotten back.

soft, cosy morning cuddles with kalvin ☁️🤍

he never liked leaving you in bed, the early morning air always a bit too bitter for his liking, sleepy eyes focusing on the way your chest would rise and fall so innocently. lips pursed, he'd wipe a strand of hair that had fallen on your cheek, his touch managing to stir you as you'd focus on his through tired eyes.

you'd reach out to him, grabbing at one of his hands with slow movement, pulling it towards your face as he'd instinctively cup your cheek.

"it's cold," you'd groan, attempting to pull the covers tighter around the both of you, shuffling your body towards his. and he'd gladly welcome you in his arms, head tucked under his chin as you'd listen intently to his steady heartbeat.

and kalvin would hum in agreement, tightening his grip around you, palms splayed over your exposed back, his fingers dancing up and down your spine, leaving a trail of goosebumps. neither of you would know the time, not caring enough to look over and check.

"could stay like this forever," he'd yawn, his movements slowing as he felt himself drift in and out of a sleep state, your own eyes failing to stay open as you'd completely melt into him, both of you fully content that this was how your mornings would always be.
