The progression of time in Project Sekai is like the progression of time in Pokémon
We know time has passed and yet, just like Ash, none of the characters age
There have been 2 new years events now - that means the characters should have aged at least a year right? The first years should be second years and the second years should be third years by now right? WRONG! Because NONE OF THEM AGE

Dio Brando & Enrico Pucci
Now that I finished Stone Ocean I wanted to talk about this for a second (I’m an anime-only fan so idk anything past Part 6)
Dio Brando is definitely the most influential villain throughout the entire first 6 parts of Jojo’s - his actions in Part 1 were the foundation of everything that happened afterwards. BUT! The thing that I personally love about Dio as a villain is that he absolutely owns being a bitch. He knows he’s a villain and he rolls with it, it’s how he’s always been and he doesn’t try to hide it. His father was a piece of shit, and he himself was raised to be the same. Dio made the most of the villain life and honestly mad respect for that. Those types of villains are always the most fun tbh. Like this bitch’s influence remained 23 years after he died - that’s king shit right there LMAO
Then on the other side we have Pucci, the final villain to carry out Dio’s will. While I personally found Pucci to be super fucking annoying, I do think he was a really good villain. The thing about Pucci that made him so dangerous was the fact that, unlike Dio who owned his villainy, Pucci did not see himself as a villain. He was convinced right up until the end that what he was doing was for the happiness of humanity in the long run. It was like his own fucked up sense of salvation or something that was brought about through his idolisation of his boyfriend Dio. I think the reason Pucci pissed me off so much (other than how pretentious he was) is because of how convinced he was that he was doing a “good” thing. And tbh the fact that his characterisation was able to make me feel so angry or annoyed is a sign that he was a well written villain imo.
Buuuuut when all’s said and done Dio is always gonna be the superior Jojo’s villain - like the pillar men were fun, Kira was interesting, and Diavolo was A Time, but at the end of the day everything just comes back to Dio. What an icon.

I have many feelings about episode 17 of Hoshi no Samidare [spoilers ahead]
This whole time we know that Akane's been working with Animus because he feels like nothing in this world is worth living for anyway so they may as well let it go to shit. We already saw in past episodes that his parents seem to neglect him and he doesn't seem to have any friends either.
Except now he does.
The Beast Knights have started to become a significant part of Akane's life. Yuuki and Subaru befriending him seems to have started to change the way he views his life, even if just a little bit. Loki genuinely cares about him and is ready to support him with whatever he decides. He has people who actually see him, people who acknowledge his existence, people who care whether he lives or dies. This is something he seems to have not received from anyone before, not even his own parents.
Akane has so much going on in his mind but he doesn't know how to process any of those thoughts or emotions - no one's ever taught him how. When Tarou died, it shook him up a lot more than he wants to admit. He's a child, and this was his first direct encounter with death - while he hadn't tried getting close with any of the Beast Knights before, seeing one of them die right in front of his eyes was going to affect him regardless. Seeing someone die in battle right before your eyes makes everything feel so much heavier, and I think that's when Akane starts to realise what it truly means to side with Animus in this battle.
When he found out that his powers can be used to heal people, of course the first thing he thinks about is the moment Tarou died. For the first time he realised that maybe he could have done something significant, maybe he could have stopped a death. His life has meaning. That's a thought he doesn't seem to know how to process. He doesn't know what he wants, but I think that's okay for now. He's just a child who is learning about himself and trying to figure out his place in the world.

Hoshi no Samidare has had such a strong focus on the concept of childhood, and the journey of growing up from a child to an adult. It's something that's been prevalent throughout the entire show and we've seen it in so many different instances - Shinonome's relationship with Yuuhi, Akane's struggles with himself, Samidare's relationship with her family, etc. The members of the Beast Knights range from school-children to old men, however they're all put on the same battle field and they treat each other as equals.
Nagumo is a father and a police officer. He's always seen it as his job to be a protector - both as a Beast Knight, and as an adult. However, seeing Yuki and Subaru fighting, seeing the strength Samidare possess, he realises that these children have the power to protect their own future. They have the strength and the determination to do what it takes to move forward and create their own future. Children are to be protected and looked after, that's the general consensus of course. Adults are there to guide children, but that doesn't mean children don't have their own agency and the freedom to have their own thoughts and make their own decisions.
Childhood as a concept is so interesting to think about. It's a fleeting period of time. Many children can't wait to grow up and be adults, while many adults miss the times when they were children. Children have the freedom to express themselves without the restrictions of societal expectations or responsibilities. Of course, it's not like children are able to take care of themselves and do anything all the time, however I think it's also important not to dismiss their capabilities just because they're young. It's these children who are going to be living and moving forward to their futures in the world that the Beast Knights are fighting to protect. Children grow up and become the future of society, time keeps moving and the world keeps turning.
When Shimaki found out that Taiyou was siding with Animus, he didn't do anything about it. He didn't tell anyone and he chose to let Taiyou figure things out for himself while watching over him silently as an adult. Taiyou is still figuring things out for himself, and I think Shimaki understands that. Sometimes children need to make their own decisions and learn from mistakes and regrets. It's these experiences that shape them into the adults that they grow up to become.
In Episode 20, as Yuuhi runs across the panels to activate Blues, we see him at 3 key stages in his life. The first is as a child, when he suffered the trauma brought on by his grandfather. The second stage is his most recently self, when he discovered that he had inherited Shinonome's power. The final stage is his future self, the adult he wishes to become, the future he wants to save by stopping Animus and his Biscuit Hammer. At the current age of 19, Yuuhi's in that weird in-between stage of not-quite-child-but-not-quite-adult. It puts him in a position where he's able to somewhat relate to both the younger and older members of the Beast Knights, to an extent, and that makes Yuuhi such a key figure in the whole story. His interactions with Shinonome are especially impactful, because Shinonome was the man who Yuuhi seems to view as an ideal adult. He wants to grow up to become like that - he wants to be an adult who smiles, he wants to be an adult who reassures, he wants to be an adult who's strong. He's not quite there yet, but he's working towards it - and if what we saw in this episode is any indication of his future to come, he's going to achieve it.

Thinking about Koyuki and Ryou again and how Ryou tries so hard to hide the side of her that’s feminine and likes cute stuff and everything but Koyuki sees through her facade and knows how cute she really is and sees her for who she is and I’m hoping that as they get to know each other more she starts to be more open about her likes and her real self with him and she doesn’t have to pretend to be someone she’s not anymore and she wore a skirt for the first time just got and confess to him cus she wanted to be cute and I just have many Ryouyuki thoughts (Ryouyuki? KoRyou? Do they even have a ship name yet??)
ALSO I can’t stop thinking about that one scene in Tokyo Winter Session. Why is she running there so desperately, what happened to lead to that?? From the lyrics of Renai Joujyuu I assume that she’s been working up the courage to confess to him and that’s when she decides to do it but what I wanna know is what leads up to that decision to confess in that moment? Part of me wonders whether it’s cus she found out that Koyuki used to like Natsuki who is also at that party? (Still confused about whether that was like.. a coming of age party?? or Natsuki & Yuu’s wedding reception??? they were never clear on that in the MV maybe it’s in the novels) ANYWAY HANIWA I NEED ANSWERS

Ok but can we talk about what an icon Chizuru/Chuutan is?? Like- she’s so self assured, she knows what she wants and does what she needs to for it. She has so much self confidence and loves and values herself so much and that’s something that can be so hard to do??? She’s living her best life, gives no shits what other people have to say about her because the most important thing is how she feels about herself and honestly that’s queen shit right there Chuutan is such an icon and we should all aim to be like her

I have SO MANY FEELINGS about the HoneyWorks FLYING SONGS: Koishieru album oh my god you don't UNDERSTAND
Toshi no Sa Nante especially made me so fucking emotional holy shit THEY FINALLY LET KOYUKI OUT OF THE BASEMENT AFTER LIKE 8 WHOLE YEARS??? Realising we'd had almost NO Koyuki content (other than like.. Kore Seishun Understand and that one scene in Tokyo Winter Session) in 8 years and then getting this made me extra emotional I think - especially with how we FINALLY get to hear about how he first met Ryou and started falling for her and everything AND UGH MY HEART IS SO FULL I JUST WANTED MY SON TO BE HAPPY AND NOW HE'S FINALLY MET SOMEONE WHO'S GONNA LOVE HIM AND I'M JUST FEELING A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT THIS KJFHKDS also just the vibes of the entire song are just immaculate I have been listening to it on repeat for the past hour
AND THEN WE HAVE Cosplay Shitai no! which is Ryou's second character song that we FINALLY got after like 4??? years??? of haniwa keeping her in the basement???? Y'all don't understand how much I love Ryou okay haniwa introduces us to this cool af girl who appears out of nowhere, she's like the sporty prince-type but has a fucking cute af song (Renai Joujyuu) cus she just wants to be a cute girl and fall in love and all that jazz BUT THEN OTHER THAN THAT WE GOT NOTHING like I was pretty disappointed with how they didn't give Renai Joujyuu a proper MV BUT NOW WE HAVE THIS AND IT'S ANOTHER SUPER CUTE SONG AND IT'S SO FUN AND I REALLY HOPE THEY GIVE THIS AN MV CUS I LOVE RYOU AND I LOVE THAT RYOU LOVES KOYUKI AND I JUST WANT THEM TO BE HAPPY TOGETHER
ALSO CAN I JUST ADD- THE FACT THAT IN TOSHI NO SA NANTE KOYUKI REFERS TO RYOU AS 可愛い人 (kawaii hito = cute person) MAKES ME FEEL SO SKDJFHSKDJFHSKDL like right right from the beginning of the song Koyuki's like talking about how he wants to help her stop hiding her true self and how he's the only one who knows she's cuter than anyone else and like Ryou's whole thing is that she wants to be cute, she wants people to think of her as 可愛 (kawaii = cute) instead of かっこいい (kakkoi = cool) AND KOYUKI DOES EXACTLY THAT HE SEES HER AS CUTE AND JUST THESE TWO ARE MADE FOR EACH OTHER MAN
Heroine wa Heikin Ika is SO MUCH FUN HOLY SHIT like I love Hiyori and her other songs but I think this one has got to be my favourite it's such a vibe holy shit
And of course I have to talk about ONE NIGHT because FT4 songs are ALWAYS bangers and this one did not disappoint omg I love it sm I hope we get a seiyuu version soon cus I NEED IT
BUT CAN WE ALSO TALK ABOUT WHIPPED CREAM NO SHOUMIKIGEN??? CUS HOLY SHIT THE VIBES it's so different to all the other songs on the album AND it's super different to all the other mona songs they've released so far - it gives me big like.. old-school retro anime vibes?? Like you could tell me this song came from macross and I would believe you, like those are the vibes and I am living for it I love it so much
The last one I wanted to specifically talk about is Moto Seito because holy shit??? Akechi???? With a romance song???? I WAS CAUGHT SO OFF GUARD I'M STILL TRYING TO ACCEPT THAT THIS MAN IS CAPABLE OF HAVING THESE FEELINGS FOR SOMEONE WHO ISN'T CHIAKI???? No once can convince me that Akechi and Chiaki weren't dating cus they absolutely 100% were (like did you see him in Senkou Hanabi?? Those were the expressions of a man in love). And like I always assumed the reason he stayed unmarried and single all these years was because he was still devoted to Chiaki BUT I GUESS HE ALSO HAS SOMEONE HE'S INTO NOW???? IDK WHY I'M STRUGGLING TO ACCEPT THIS SO MUCH like of course it's good that he's moving on and stuff but I was not emotionally prepared for that LMAO but anyway I guess instead of being gay and demi HoneyWorks has decided Akechi is bi and demi (I am convinced he is demi either way, I mean just look at his relationship history) which is cool, and now I'm just super curious about this ex-student of his who's 5 years younger than him that he's into I have no clue who it could be tbh
tl;dr HoneyWorks makes me feel many feelings and I love all the characters so much
