D - Is there a song or playlist you associate with [Insert Fic]?

ig im talking about butterfly effect today! there were a few songs that cycled through my brain as The Song for that fic but i think the one i returned to the most when writing it (and thus the one that stuck with me the most after i was done) was kaishingeki by eve, its not quite the same vibes but the association with a song you listen to while writing a thing never really goes away, at least for me lol

okay so we begin with the snippet:

“Earth to Isagi,” a voice poked at the edge of his thoughts. Picking his head up, Yoichi noticed Bachira, who had scooted a bit closer to the edge of the bench he had seated himself on and was currently waving a hand in front of him. “Hmm? What’s up?” “I was about to ask you the same thing. You were just staring at your hands. Doin’ alright?” “Oh! Yeah, I’m fine, just thinking.” “‘Bout what?” Bachira asked, casually grabbing Yoichi’s still palm-up hands and squeezing lightly, cocking his head and looking at him expectantly. “Uh…” Yoichi trailed off, trying desperately to rearrange his jigsaw brain after Bachira had just knocked the whole goddamn table over. He swallowed, and continued, “Just the scrimmage and the next game, I guess.”

ah yes <3 the ever present but never posted isagi has a crisis fic <3 this one scene was super duper fun to write bc i had a really clear idea of what it was gonna look like and where it was heading, which really helps? and i feel like i really nailed their voices which. honestly is kinda rare for me on the first try, so! proud!

M - Got any premises on the back burner that you'd care to share?

okay. so. i always and forever have ideas just spinning in the back of my mind. like macking cheese in the michael wave. but the one that i really only have Vibes on at the moment is a blue lock fencing au?

first of all, i used to fence! i wanna get back into it too, its super fun and i love it a lot. but that means i have KNOWLEDGE that i can use to WRITE >:D

second of all. giving characters swords. why the fuck not. swords are fucking fantastic. idc if they make the conflict worse, they make the story better. i dont make the rules i just provide the swords

and lastly, i think blue lock's idea of egoism and individuality would be a really different dynamic if it was in a sport that was individual to begin with, if that makes sense? like soccer is still a team sport regardless of everything going on in blue lock, but fencing is all about the individual and personal growth, so i think it would be interesting to see how much different the narrative would be.
