Yo, so some people by the name of @bowuto and @kaiserin-astraia just blocked me for no reason. I noticed they had commented on my little Kingdom Hearts rant post. Apparently, they disgreed with something I said—which is weird because I only pointed out things that happen in the game series when it comes to Sora and Riku—and thought they should tell me that I need to tag my post "discourse" or "kh discourse" because my post is "clearly fanning the flames to start needless arguments", respectively.

When I asked bowuto what did they not agree with, they seemed to have a rather flippant/nonchalant answer before blocking me. And apparently kaiserin-astraia had BEEN blocked me ever since writing THEIR comment. Now, I don't usually let things like this bother me, but the fact that they came at me sideways like I'm trying to cause arguments or something, and then, proceeded to block me so now I can't even see their comments, just rubs me the wrong way. I don't know, it just seems cowardly?? Like, you say something and when someone questions why you said it, you run and hide. It's just ridiculous.

Plus, it says something about you if you can't handle someone else's opinion so much that you have to block them after leaving a comment. It seems like you don't want to respond to your comment for the sake of you having the last word.

Anyway, here's my post so you can see for yourself and then see their comments.

There is this modern AU Kingdom Hearts teen summer camp fanfic I've loved to read during summer called "You Are My Miracle" by @kaiserin-astraia. In fact, I'm currently rereading it now.

It's just so poignant & fun because Sora & Riku help each other overcome their respective issues while doing camp & teenaged stuff with other Kingdom Hearts characters and each other. And Sora & Riku fall in love with each other too, but that's just the icing on the cake to me.

The reason I love this fic so much is summer can be a lonely time for some people (like me), even if you have lots of friends or family that care for you. This fic gets that through Sora dealing with anxiety & Riku dealing with grief & loss.

I love this fic for showing that the right people at the right moment can be the miracle that changes your life for the better. Plus, this fic is 100% better than some of those crappy summer teen movies out nowindays.

Do you mind explaining the significance of the design of the kh3 ultima weapon and its connection to Sora and Riku? I've seen you reference it a few times on twitter but haven't really understood the connection myself

Well, there’s a few things.  First, take a look at the base design compared to the rest of the Ultimas:

The others are mostly light blue and gold, colors associated with light, while the kh3 ultima is white and red- light and dark.  This also ties in well to the secret ending where red light and blue/white light were used to signify Sora and Riku (and at the end we are shown Yozora with red and blue eyes…).

The red outlined heart is also explicitly Riku’s symbol (and the crown is Sora’s):

Way to Dawn’s keychain also evolved over time to resemble the heart with the curls, like on the Ultima:

DDD and KH3:

You might also notice that some elements on the Ultima resemble the demon wings on Riku’s Soul Eater/Way to Dawn:

Then for the form change, the Ultima changes into a big rainbow sword with a heart on it, which might remind you of another rainbow keyblade which also resembled the Ultima weapon designs…

Sora’s clothes also change to a black and white swirl design, further emphasizing the idea that this Ultima symbolizes a mix of light and dark together (again, possibly foreshadowing Yozora)

And here’s another good catch that @kaiserin-astraia made: The Verum Rex poster with all the swords coming down really looks A LOT like some of the attacks during Ultima’s form change (and the colors on the poster: Red light on the sword, pure white light from above):

(Also, just from watching videos of it the way the swords revolve around Sora in a lot of the attacks gives me heavy FFXIII Versus vibes)

Nomura seems very intent on foreshadowing whatever he has planned with Yozora…
