I really enjoy how Kaido is like the oppisite of Saiki in ambitions liike Saiki the powerful psychic boy just wants to be normal and Kaido the normal scardy cat of a boy just wants to be special, and they both like do most things with those goals in mind. But deep down theres a sort of want to be understood for both of they aren’t entirely opposites but anyways, people have probably pointed this stuff out before but uave you ever thought of this: Kaido and Saiki could be each others special and normal like omg imagine after Kaido’s initial shock and stuff at the power reveal, him being like “and you seriously chose to stick around and be MY friend?! And I’m special to you?!” like a powerful psychic with crazy powers beyond your imagination is one of your closest friends, maybe you are special in some ways! And Saiki like getting treated as normal by Kaido, him not being seen as some imitating silent figure or as someone completely invisible, no Kaido sees Saiki as just a person like him who he can call a friend like something something in the manga when Kaido’s first introduced he gravitates to Saiki because he thinks Saiki’s just an ordinary loser like him and like Kaido wants Saiki to play pretend with him, Kaido wants Saiki to go to his secret bases after school like a little kid would want one of their bestfriends to play with them, like they are the only ones in on their little imagainitive world, escaping from normalcy, but in this case while its an escape from normalcy for Kaido, its a junp into normalcy for Saiki, like he’s in on it, like he’s a normal every day kid like Kaido idk like idk theres something so special to me about them that I can’t quite put into words I’m just out here yapping at this point, sorry if this makes no sense everynyan just urm

Saiki is what makes Kaido feel special and Kaido is what makes Saiki feel normal

I really miss all the Kaidou and Saiki friendship moments in the manga they didn't put in the anime, like Kaidou's introduction or the one where they went to a convention together

Also, both chapters were so good, like Kaidous introduction was

AND AND. It shows us Kaidou without his chuunibyou persona and who he really is

Dude doesn't give that much of a shit about the potential psychic he thought he saw, he's just playing up his excitement about it as a means to talk and be friends with saiki

He barely even CARES about his whole heroic persona and story, he just wants friendsss sosbbsssss

AND and ANDD

Saiki gives him the joy of being able to find the "creature" he was looking for, giving him an excuse to talk to and befriend saiki more, because saiki saw the fact he tried so hard to be his friend

Kaidou clearly uses his powers as an excuse to have conversation, hell he even PLANS out what he wants to say to saiki beforehand

Anyway rant over i think kaidous character is a lot more than what meets the eye (but that's so with every saiki k character)

The fact KaiSai is unpopular is genuinely so weird to me... Saiki was Kaidou's first friend EVER and he was the person that Saiki first admitted to being friends with, Saiki goes out of his way to pretend dark reunion exists to make him happy, they're just so... man, I love them.

Kaido/Toritsuka/Saiki

now hear me out 😭 Kaido and Tori fucking HATE each other so much, never calling each other their actual names or anything, just using mean spirited nicknames everytime (and they kinda become weird petnames), but they loove Saiki so much like Kaido can’t shut up about him and wants him to think he’s cool and everything (my Saikai propaganda’s showing) and Toritsuka will come running to Saiki all excited whenever he can 😭 I they they’d both fight a little over Saiki and go into like “he loves ME more” arguments just for the fun of it, not actually mean spirited if that makes sense. Like I think they’d bring out each other’s competitive sides and thats just so fucking funny to me. Saiki’s just there in the middle of it all, revolving around 2 boys entire worlds and trying to seem nonchalant, but he just has to crack a smile or let his cheeks blush a little sometimes, like he loves them both I think, and they hate each others guts but in a playful just for fun way.
