Demonstober Day 12 The Dream Tiger

You've been plagued for a year by the nightmares. 

Various nightmares actually. There was no specific patterns to them or a running theme. They were just nightmares. It started last year mid summer. It was a regular day, nothing out of place, until you got to bed and decided to sleep. 

That's when you had the first nightmare of you going swimming and getting attacked by a shark. You screamed so loudly that your neighbors has broken down your doors and shaken your screaming form awake to see what was wrong. You were ok. No water or shark in sight, but you didn't get much sleep that night. 

The sane thing repeated the next night. This time you were tumbling through the sky. And then the next night. A bear chased you through the woods. And the next. A giant sinkhole swallowed your house whole. And then the next night-

You got the picture. 

However that wasn't the most terrifying thing about it. 

It was the terrifying monstrous thing that you saw every time before the moment you woke up. 

It was a tiger...at least that's what you thought at first. Dreamland You was too busy trying to climb trees to get away from bandits chasing you demanding money or diving into a pond to escape a swarm of hornets buzzing after you. But since the first nightmare you've always saw a glimpse of orange and black in the background. You always brushed it off though. If was a couple of weird nightmares. And dreams never made sense. So a tiger suddenly showing up on a cloud as you screamed for help falling through the sky, or sitting on a rock as you clung onto the cliff side for dear life meant nothing. 

Not until you had a good look at the thing's face.

It was the nightmare that you were being chased by a bear. You were just walking along a field when you suddenly looked behind you, and froze as the looming shadow of a large grizzly bear rose up above you. The thing was covered in blood staining it's brown fur a rust color, as it's long fangs drooled with rabies. Claws flexed out as it growled before roaring at you. 

"AAAAAHHHH!!!"

Your scream echoed throughout the dreamscape as you snapped around and RAN as fast as you could. Adrenaline making your heart pumping when you inevitably heard the loud thuds of the bear dropping onto all fours and then charging after you. You didn't dare look back too terrified of the beast behind you. You knew this was a nightmare and the thing behind you wasn't real- But you weren't going to just wake yourself up by letting it EAT you! So you ran. You just had to make it until you eventually woke up like always. You'd climb up a tree or hide in the water again-

A screech left your lungs as your foot tripped over a rock and down you went. Painfully slamming your face into the ground before you continued to roll down the hill head over heels, until you painfully crashed into a rocky patch of ground at the bottom face to the sky. With a pained groan you opened your eyes.

And ice froze your veins as the bear stood right above you roaring out it's call and raising a paw in the air. You screamed out and slammed your eyes shut. Arms raising to shield your face waiting for the painful wake up call....

But it never came. 

There wasn't any noise.

Not a sound in sight.

You thought that perhaps you had woken up now in your bed safely in the quiet night of your own home. 

However when you opened your eyes and stared at the blue sky, you knew you were still dreaming. But...there was no bear. Confused, your brows furrowed before you slowly sat up hissing in soreness from your rough tumble. Your head looked around the fields and hills. There was no bear in sight. Not even a footprint left behind. 

However you were not alone.

Because your body frozen once again when you again saw the recurring figure of a tiger. 

However this tiger was something drawn up from a nightmare.

Blue eyes stared right through your soul as the ferocious wild animal stared you down. But it's body was twisted strangely. While it's body was mostly normal for a tiger it's face was completely black, like it wore a mask of some kind. It's fangs were unusual too. They stuck out like the teeth of an oni mask and it's stripes were like ribbons. Attached to his body but stringing off him unlike a normal tiger. You both continued to stare at each other. You in fear and it in annoyance.

It just sat down casually staring at you, before it snorted and opened his mouth."Wake up, Woman."

You awake with a gasp and sat up quickly in your room again. Looking around the place but not finding a single animal or person there. Panting and gasping for breath as you clutched the blanket to yourself.

"W-What the hell?"

You for the life of you couldn't figure out why you were having such horrid nightmares. You haven't done anything bad to warrant the gods to punish you and you didn't think you upset anything supernatural....And you hadn't been reading any scary stories so you couldn't just blame this on your subconscious brain. 

The nightmares continued to persist until you were so sleep deprived and sobbing from the exhaustion you were feeling. Finally a friend suggested you visit the local shrine and get looked over by the priest. Without anything else to do, you agreed and made the long journey to visit the medicine man. He was rather kind and polite, inviting you inside and giving you a cup of tea as you broke down in sobs and explained everything to him. He said nothing but listen politely while nodding. When you finished babbling he took a moment humming and rubbing his chin in thought before closing his eyes and nodding.

"It's clear now." He held up a hand pointing at you. "You're being plagued by dream eaters."

You looked at him confused sniffing and wiping the tears from your heavy eye bags. "D-Dream eaters? What's that?"

"Spirits whom visit their victims in the middle of the night and cause nightmares. They're like parasites that feed off the fear their nightmares cause," he explained, "But not to worry. They're usually not very powerful and I know exactly how to get rid of them."

He instructed you through a small ritual to cleanse yourself before accompanying you back to your home where he cleansed the place of negative energy and then gave you some sage incense with very specific instructions.

"Burn one beside your bedside each night before you sleep. After a few days, they'll leave to go search for another victim as you won't be acceptable to their nightmares anymore."

You couldn't thank him enough and ended up sobbing into the hug you gave him. That night you followed his instructions to a T and managed to sleep deeply for the first time in weeks. You barely got up the next day allowing yourself to sleep in and find peace once more. Your sleep slowly returned to normal and your old self returned to you. Alive and rejuvenated with a happy skip to your step. 

Until you ran out of sage incense to burn.

At first you were a little worried about the nightmares coming back..but after two weeks of nearly nothing happening with you still getting sleep, you didn't worry about anything anymore. It was like the priest said, they finally left to move on to someone else. So you suspected nothing when you went back to sleep that night.

And then you found yourself in a forest.

It wasn't bad like the other experiences you had though. It was actually rather nice. It was warm and sunny with a nice breeze going rustling through the leaves and blowing your hair around. Despite there being no birds, their pretty chirping hung in the air as you smiled and walked along the grass. It was absolutely beautiful and peaceful. With a deep inhale of sweet flowers and clean air you allowed yourself to smile and enjoy the warm sunlight.

"You have a lot of nerve blocking me out after everything I did for you."

You jumped with a gasp and spun around on your heels. And then you paused as you came face to face with another person.

It was a man around your age, maybe a year or two older. He was dressed in black from head to toe with the exception of the blue obi belt tied around his waist, and the three magatama charms. One wrapped his throat as a necklace while the other two dangled from his right wrist. Blueish Black eyes stared at you annoyed from where he sat cross legged on a rock, head in one hand and the wind slightly swaying his messy black hair.

However what was most peculiar was the strange stripe like tattoos on his cheeks. You both continued to stare at one another before his face scrunched up more annoyed.

"Tch. Are you really not going to say anything to me?"

 You flinched eyes widening more at the fangs in his mouth but being more confused than scared. "Oh. Uh-....H-Hello?" You weren't sure what to say to a figment of your imagination in a dream. "Sorry I didn't see you there." The man scoffed again rolling his eyes. "I didn't know anyone else was out here honest." You might as well be polite even if he wasn't real.

"Of course I'm real! I'm right here in front of you aren't I? You seriously think that I'm just a mere piece of your puny imagination?"

You flinched back eyes widened at him. How did he-..? No. Of course he's a part of your mind so YOU would know what YOU were feeling-

"Wow. Seriously that naive huh? Just because I'm in your dreams and hear your thoughts, that doesn't mean I'm a puny little imaginary friend. It's insulting you'd assume that."

"Well WHO are you if you're not just a part of my dream?"

With yet another eye roll and sigh, the man pushed himself off the rock and stood up to his full height which was just a foot taller than you. Placing his hands behind his head he walked up to your confused form and looked you over.

"You seriously don't know who I am?"

You frowned. Taking a moment to look him up and down carefully and wracking your brain for anyone who might ring a bell..before you shook your head in defeat.

"I'll give you a big hint. What's big and has stripes in all your dreams?"

Stripes? Your dreams? What could-...

It was then realization slapped you across the face. "Tiger...You mean you're the-.." You trailed off gesturing to him again.

"Took ya long enough to recognize me! Talk about ungrateful after everything I did to help you out. Then you went and did that stupid ritual to block me out! How ungrateful are you?!"

"I-...Wait! If you were blocked out because of the ritual then you're one of the spirits visiting me in my nightmares!" You rose a brow suspiciously. "...Why?"

"You seriously haven't figured it out by now?" You stared blankly at him making him scoff again. "You summoned me. You prayed for someone to come help you out of those nightmares and I went through the trouble of running off that Enmu creep every time he showed up!"

You blinked surprised. "Wait. So it was you waking me up all those times?"

"Finally you're catching on." His hands went to be placed on his hips. "That creep loves feeding off people's worst nightmares." He smirked. "So do I. Don't get me wrong, your fear certainly helped feed me for a while but it was annoying to watch him become infatuated by you. It was time he left my territory."

He did leave didn't he whoever it was causing your nightmares. But- "But you didn't." You pointed out to him. "Why? My nightmares are over. While I'm grateful to you, I don't think I can pay you back unfortunately."

He smirked now and leaned over making you lean back."Enmu liked what he saw....But he's not the only one." Wait what- "I like what I see, Princess. And I know exactly how you can make it up to me for all the rescuing I've done."

You stared wide eyed and jaw dropped at him to which he snickered before reaching out a hand to his wrist. You could only watch as he pulled at the strings until one of the magatamas fell off before he grabbed your hand. In a quick motion, the strings were wrapped around your own wrist and tugged into a knot. Making you blink and hold up your arm watching the beautiful shiny stone sway from your hand.

"We'll talk more about this tomorrow night. But from now on, you're my woman.~ Don't worry about the details. You'll see soon enough."

You woke up with a gasp.

Eyes staring at your dark ceiling before you quickly sat up. A quick look around told you, you were alone. Oh...It was just a dream after all. A really weird one. You sighed and went to wipe your forehead when you froze as something caught the moonlight floating into your window. And your eyes widened at the thing dangling from your wrist.

A blue magatama.

S/o leaving lipstick kiss marks on the boys faces? You can chose both or one. I don't mind

I have come to the conclusion that ‘my boys’ are Kaigaku and Genya. I’ve been feeding the Kaigaku fans, now I’ll start feeding the Genya fans too!

Leaving lipstick stains on Genya is actually pretty hard to do

It’s not that Genya doesn’t like kissing you, trust me

He actually likes you giving him little kisses all over his face as well

Sometimes it feels a bit too much though, or maybe he’s just learned what your trying to do from past experience, and he’ll pull his face away a bit

Genya has a habit of smoothing back his mohawk throughout the day, so sometimes he’ll see the lipstick smudge from a mark on his forehead when he does that

The only other ways he’d know is looking in a mirror, the reflection on his sword or the worst… Other core members mention it!

It’s very embarrassing for the poor boy

And Gyomei can’t tell him about it if he’s training with him

At least if it’s someone like Tanjiro who points it out, he won’t feel so embarrassed

One time Inosuke asked, “What the hell happened to your face?” and it was mortifying

Of course, he won’t tell you to not do it though

You might be able to leave one mark on his cheek, but you probably can’t get more than that

You’d have to find a way to sneak it on him too, it takes planning

The first time you left kiss marks on him, he didn’t realize what you were doing until there were several on his face.

He went into his grumpy, quiet pouting as he tried to get it off his face before he’d see Master Jigoro and Zenitsu

Zenitsu avoided him that day since they don’t get alone, but Master Jigoro could still see some of it

Now you have to try and leave on by kissing him on the cheek when saying ‘goodbye’

He’ll check by rubbing his cheek, and usually that’ll help him catching

But feeling isn’t the same as looking

Sometimes it’ll take the quiet chuckles and giggling of other core members for him to realize he missed it

You know how he’d punch the other core member’s for just mentioning his breathing techniques? 

He’ll punch them for this too… very hard…

Very, VERY hard to leave a lipstick mark on him

Not only because he prefers kisses on the lips, but he’s just very aware

One time when you were ‘having fun’ you left multiple marks on his face, but he found out that they were hard to wash off

Ever since then he’s made sure you aren’t trying to do that again

One time he was in a rush, and all you could get in was a kiss on his cheek

To be fair, he should have suspected something but he was to stressed about missing the first ‘Upper Moon’ meeting he’d be a a part of

Waiting for Muzan was… interesting…

Akaza gave him an odd look

Douma was laughing a bit

Kokushibou was the one to point it out in the end

He rubbed his cheek vigorously, trying to get rid of it before Muzan arrived

Kaigaku [X Reader]

In which Kaigaku has a human s/o and tries to demonstrate his love.

Kaigaku was one tough demon when it comes to any kind of affection

He borderline doesn't show any unless he feels you are being threatened or being taken from him

But that doesn't mean he doesn't do anything for you

I mean, you're so fragile and slow since you're a human, and he can do things much faster and better, so just sit down and do whatever and he will be back with whatever you need in an hour or less

That's right! His love language is acts of service

You won't bake or anything crazy, but he will pick up groceries he likely stole and ate someone for

Do you crave peaches? Kaigaku will pick a crates worth from the finest tree and wash them off, maybe even pit them, so you can enjoy your dumb human snack

The idea of you being upset over something like being unable to afford food or anything you need for basic survival irritates him to the point where he will make sure even after he is long gone you will be just fine

He saved every coin a corpse has, jewellery, expensive clothes, if it means having a safe for you to use should he be away

Not that he is stupid enough to die or anything, it'd be something badass like you getting hunted down by the corps

He hates the idea of that too, but he can't help but make sure there's plans in place to protect you

When it comes to more personal times between one another, he tends to have his hand grasping your wrist as opposed to being hand in hand

Yes, he will drag you places, yes, there is an imprint of his hand on your wrist as much as he tries not to leave one

He can trust himself to never let go, but what if you fall asleep and stop holding him back? He avoids that by just doing all the work himself, and he can keep his grip even in his sleep

Cuddles usually involve him flat on his back, with you straight on top of him

He sleeps almost entirely clothed but he likes when you are a little less conservative so he can bundle you in a blanket or have an excuse to get you trapped up against him

It's also his way of making sure you are always breathing, since he can feel your chest rise and fall and hear your heartbeat in his own body

Thanks for the request. Of course I had to go and do both Human and Demon Kaigaku >w< I’m happy that Genya is getting more love as well! These kisses will during an established relationship too~

Human Kaigaku

I personally believe that Kaigaku is touch-starved, but refuses to acknowledge and/or admit it

The two of you were taking time to relax together during a short break he was given from the core

You two were out in the orchard by Master Jigoro’s estate

You were sitting on his lap as he leaned against a tree in the shade

The two of you don’t normally share a lot of words when cuddling, the two of you usually just enjoy each other's presence

At some point though, you sat back and placed you hands on his shoulders, which did catch him off guard

He almost naked you what you were doing but the look in your eyes told him pretty quick 

His hands settled on your waist as you leaned into kiss him

He even actually leaned in as well, which was a pleasant surprise 

You surprised him as well, as you were more aggressive with the kiss than he thought you’d be

But he wasn’t going to complain, he just pulled you closer to him

Neither of you said anything when you two finally pulled away

Your foreheads rested against each other’s

You returned to laying on top of Kaigaku and snuggling with him after that

But he really was hoping for another kiss…

Demon Kaigaku

I still believe Kaigaku to be a tsudere as a demon, but he covers it up much better with his new confidence

Kaigaku was in fact the one to instigate this kiss.

It happened during one of your midnight meets

It’s actually quite common for you to occasionally give Kaigaku a small shove or push as a joke since he’s pretty hard to knock over

However, Kaigaku was feeling… ‘frisky’ might not be the right word but we’ll use it here

After one playful shove to many Kaigaku decided to push back

Push you back up against a tree, that is

This definitely took you by surprise

He titled you head up with two fingers under your chin

“You seem playful tonight, princess, are you trying to ask for something~?”

Something about the way Kaigaku calls you princess sends chills down your spine

When you two pulled away, Kaigaku wasn’t done with you

Genya Shinazugawa

This sweet baby is shy with you, but he does try his best

He used to be very stiff with things like holding your hand and hugging but he’s gotten better with them through time

While Genya was the one who asked to kiss, he ended up freezing up after you said ‘yes’

Ah yes, Genya.exe has stopped working once again

That’s fine, you were more than happy to help him

He’s still nervous and frozen when you go into kis him

But he actually relaxes once you do kiss him

He was actually worried maybe he was moving too fast, or that maybe you didn’t want to kiss him in general

He finally realizes that you are okay with this, and that kissing you is relaxing in itself

The kiss was brief, maybe just a few seconds, but when it was over Genya relaxed

His face was still rather red though, but he was a smiling

It was so cute you couldn’t help but embrace him

Now that he was feeling more relaxed he was able to give you another kiss

Don’t expect to be making out soon, he’s still getting used to just a normal kiss

He’d still be shy about kissing you in the future, but he’s not going to be freezing up anymore.

Sorry that Genya’s came out a bit shorter, I’m still getting the final details on how I’ll be writing for him figured out!

Headcannons of Kaigaku and/or rGenya running into s/os bad Ex?

I haven’t written for Genya yet, but he is one of my favorites >w< I even went and made a banner for him in case I write for him more. I love doing those banners, I think using Canva for making transparencies is fun (though I had to do a pro free trial since I can’t get into my work's Canva at the moment >w<.)

For Kaigaku in his human form bumping into them and his demon form hearing about them.

Also, this format is odd to me. Is this head canons or more of a imagine/scenario? I have no idea… I like the idea of scenario being the word for it…

Human! Kaigaku Running into his S/O’s bad Ex:

Kaigaku knew about your ex, since it was part of the reason you felt hesitant in the relationship at the beginning

He was actually worried about acting like them, or becoming like them

The two of you were walking through the streets of small town since he had a little break.

He had stepped aside for a moment to grab you some sweets from a vendor when you felt a hand on your shoulder.

When you turned around and saw you ex you quickly tried back up, but that was hard to do in the crowded streets.

He continued approaching you, but Kaigaku came back in time to push him back, telling him to ‘fuck off’ as he put his arm around your waist

Kaigaku isn’t going to let this ass walk all over you again, and Kaigaku would make it clear that he was your boyfriend now.

There’s a 50/50 chance that would be enough to scare your ex off.

If it didn’t, Kaigaku had no problem getting his hands dirty, he’d find it as revenge on your behalf.

You might even have to peel Kaigaku off of him to keep him from getting a murder charge

In the end, you won’t be worrying about your ex coming back…

Demon! Kaigaku hearing about his S/O running into their bad Ex:

The night was the same as any other as you sat outside under the moonlight waiting for Kaigaku.

When Kaigaku arrived he could tell something was off about your mood.

When he pried for the information, you mentioned that you had run into your ex, he was confused

You actually hadn’t mention your ex to him before

And oh, he was pissed when you told him about how he had treated you.

You mentioned how today he came back, begging for you to take him back, claiming he was ‘sorry’ for everything he did

His teeth were gritted through your whole story

He managed to calm down for the rest of your time together, but he wasn’t letting this go.

Kaigaku was running a bit late the next night, and when he did make it he had some blood on him.

When you asked who he ate this time (it’s a bit of a joke between you two) he shrugged and said, “nobody important”

When you heard you ex had vanished the next day you knew exactly who Kaigaku’s meal was last night

Genya Running into his S/O’s bad Ex:

Genya didn’t do much talking in your relationship, despite the amount of time you two spent together he was still shy

You did most of the talking, and some of that talking was about your ex

He seemed uncomfortable during that talk, even angry

Of course he was! How could someone treat you like that?

Either way, you were both glad he was out of your life now

The two of you were walking down the street in town

You were holding Genya’s hand, so he was flustered and not fully aware of things at the moment.

He only snapped back into his senses when someone bumped into him hard

Genya snapped at the guy, and when he turned around you couldn’t help but gasp

Genya immediately knew that you knew this guy, and figured out that this must be your ex

He also found out your ex wasn’t too bright, since he starting spewing insults at Genya (a guy who towered over him)

Yeah, he wasn’t even close to a challenge for Genya

Genya really would’ve loved to pummel him into the dirt, but he didn’t want to have you watch or wait for him to be done.

After knocking his ass out with one hit, you and Genya continued

It was only a bit before Genya got flustered again with you now thanking him while hugging his arm.

Ah, my fingers hurt form so much typing, thanks for everyone’s patience~

It’s not that he doesn’t like it, it’s just hard for him to talk with you when you’ve got it on

Honestly? It’s distracting for him, and he hates that

What happens if you jump and your breasts spill out?

He’ll never tell you that though, he doesn't want you to feel uncomfortable

If you ask what he thinks he’ll manage to choke out ‘you look great’

It’s not something he was expecting, not even a uniform like Mitsuri’s was on his mind

However, he didn’t hate it

He sorta liked this new view he was getting

But he HATED that the others were getting to see the view too

Sometimes he’d wish you’d close the top up a bit more around the other guys, but he couldn’t say anything without you bringing up him being jealous

The day he admits jealousy is the day he dies

You’ll catching him looking at you, shamelessly too

He’ll smirk when you ask him what he thinks and say ‘did you get that for me?’

Hello! How are you? I wanted to make a request if it dosent bothers you,about headcanons of kaigaku and genya with a s/o that has a personality like maxi from the novel under the oak tree,like,reader is a person with a speech disability, which has manifested in early childhood,reader stutters and has a difficult time communicating,due this has a very shy personality, partially due to the fact that has been abused by their father since childhood. Reader believes themself to be inferior to others, especially to beautyfull and smart people. Reader is left with the trauma that their father gave them and they flinches every time anyone raises their voice.

Reader was reinforced with the idea that was worthless and useless all their life, and has therefore carried this notion within even into adulthood and deeply resents for not being able to be as strong as wants to be, as thinks that nobody will ever want them and would they understand why.

Reader is easily scared and rattled, is often anxious on how they will act and how others will perceive them, as is worried that people will see them as nothing but a lazy and useless stutterer. Reader is a very private person who rarely tells anyone about their past, and sees themselves and their abuse as shameful and they despises the thought of people seeing them as even more pitiful and weak.

reader also gets flustered easily, even discussing intimate moments with their partner when they are alone can cause them to blush uncontrollably.When someone manages to get their trust reader is a timid and kind person, is soft-spoken and polite to everyone who is kind to them and treat their partner with kindness and respect.

Both Shinazugawa brothers had an awful father, so Genya gets where your coming from

Obviously Genya turned out differently than you did, but he still understands where you coming from

Genya can seem very impatient but he’ll wait for you

Whether you need extra time to find the right words you’d like to say or need a minute to compose yourself

Genya will work really hard to try and improve your self-esteem

After all, he sometimes has doubts about himself too (breathless boi)

He’s not going to push you to tell him about your past, but if you ever feel ready to tell him he’ll listen

While he feels bad when you get shy and timid, he does find it cute at the same time

Overall, not a bad match

Sanemi

He shared the same father with Genya, so an abusive father isn’t a new idea to him

Sanemi has a bit of tense energy around him, so you might feel nervous a lot

He’s going to do everything he can to ease those feelings for you though

Sometimes he’ll look at you and think about his little sibling, how sometimes they’d be scared and timid

Maybe it’s the nostalgia he feels that brings out that really rare soft side of Sanemi

Most of the time Sanemi finds himself biting his tongue, not wanting to risk upsetting you since he tends to speak loudly, and harshly, overall

He wants the best for you, but sometimes doesn’t know what exactly that is and feels worried that asking you might be stressing you out 

Still a good match, but there might be some bumps in the road together

Now let’s be honest, this might not be the best pairing out there

Kaigaku has his high and mighty attitude, and sometimes that can make you feel worse

Now that doesn't mean he’s trying to make you feel worse about yourself, but it’s Kaigaku so it’s bound to happen 

Your stuttering can get on his nerves sometimes though

And your shyness kinda reminds of of Zenitsu as well

Though he does like how easy it makes it for him to get your flustered

Sometimes Kiagkau’s brash attitude and tone of voice can rattle you, and it actually happens quite often

Overall, not the best match but you two can make it work

I could have sworn I did something like this before O.o but I guess I didn’t since I can’t find it on my blog or on my laptop.

Your weight doesn’t bother him, it’s not something he really focuses in on when he’s with you

However, any complaints you might make about your weight might threaten that short fuse

It’d be from a mix of hearing complaining and the fact your speaking poorly of yourself

Everyone else is dirt, expect for you and himself

And I won’t lie, because of his lack of a filter there will be a time or two where he makes a out of line comment or joke

He will realize his mistake immediately, and it will be one of the very few times he will admit he was in the wrong

Try to bear with him sometimes, he is trying his best

Genya sees a lot more than just weight, so don’t worry not an ass like Kaigaku

He doesn’t like hearing your negative comments about yourself either though

He’s not so great with hearing them, and he’d hate to scold you for them and risk making you feel worse

He’ll do his best attempt with gentle reassurances, constantly worried that something he might say could make things worse

So sometimes he’ll just fall silent, maybe hug you or find some other physical reassurance method for you

Next time he runs into Tanjiro, he’ll ask him for some help

Ah, so cute! Genya is always sweet for these ones. I kinda felt that Kaigaku’s human and demon form could both fall under one bullet list.

Oh dear, aren’t you two a cute couple!

Since your soft spoken and he’s shy with you, something tells me there won’t be much talking between you two

Physical affection? He’ll do whatever you want, but he’s more willing to cuddle when it’s just the two of you alone…

The love in your relationship would mainly be acts of service

Genya will bring you back things from villages he goes through during missions, always making note of how you react to each gift so he knows what things you like more

Other people sometimes laugh at the two of you whenever you both have those silent moments when you both become shy

Sometimes the two of you will turn to others for help with ideas, but neither of you know that

Turns out, the two of you both speak to Tanjiro about these things, and he takes advantage of it to make sure you and Genya’s ideas are in sync

Kaigkau doesn't talk much either, but you guys make it work

To be honest though, your soft spokenness and shyness sometimes irks him since it reminds him of Zenitsu.

But he also likes it since it means you don’t talk to others much

It makes him feel a bit special that you talk to him more (and this boy likes to feel special)

Taking advantage of your shyness and getting you flustered is another little thing he loves

Of course, hugging him in front of his fellow core members will fluster him back, so if you ever feel bold and want to get back at him a bit

How Kaigaku Shows He Loves You

We all know that Kaigaku can be a bit of an ass, and seems to be the type to get tongue-tied when he wants to say something nice.

Human Kaigaku:

For starters: Kaigaku isn’t going to be affectionate if other are around, UNLESS someone is flirting with you

It’s worth noting Kaigaku isn’t going to pull away from you if you try to hold his hand or hug him when your out in public, but he’s not going to have much of a response

A lot of people see that and think he’s an ass, and your hopeless

Things are different when you two are alone and he feels like he can let his guard down

Most afternoons the two of you spend together are sitting on the porch together, you usually sitting in his lap

Snuggle up to him now when you can, 

Sometimes he’ll play with you hair

He’ll usually kiss the top of your head or your forehead during this time

If you want a kiss on the lips, your going to instigate the kiss yourself

As a demon slayer, Kaigaku travels a lot so he’ll bring back gifts for you

If it’s a short trip, you’ll just get flowers

If he’s away on a long trip where he passes through several towns, he’ll buy you something from one of the markets

He’s good at remembering what you like, so if you’ve been wanting a hair pin or a new kimono he’ll get you one

Demon Kaigaku:

This version of Kaigaku isn’t as avoidant with PDA

He wants to make it clear to the others that you are taken, so he’s not afraid to put his arm around you when he’s with the other Upper Moons

He’s not going to be cuddling you around them though

Of course, when it’s just you two he’ll begrudgingly agree to cuddle

He still prefers to have you sit or lay on top of him

He enjoys kisses a bit more, mainly make-out sessions between you two

And those can lead to some very long night for you (you what I mean)

He’s going to leave hickies and bite marks on you

The gifts Kaigaku brings to you depends on whether or not you’re a demon

If you're also a demon, he’ll save your favorite parts of bodies just for you (liver, thighs, ect)

If you human, most of the gift he’ll bring you will probably be from victims

He will always deny that your gifts come from dead bodies.

Maybe Genya (and Kaigaku only if you want) in reacting to a demon attacking s/o?

Thank you for the request. I decided to try a short story format for this one, so I hope you like it!

Genya quickly moved through the brush in the woods, looking for where you were. He cursed at himself for letting you get out of sight while he was fighting a second demon. The sound of fighting from his left made him turn as he loaded his shotgun. You were a strong fighter, but he was still going to do everything he could to keep you safe.

When Genya made it to the clearing he watched as the demon knocked your sword out of your hand, beginning to corner you after cutting you with their claws. “You bastard!” Genya shouted as he brought his gun up, catching the demon's attention. Genya shot the demon once in the chest, knocking it back before taking the second a bit lower by waist. Clearly Genya wasn’t going for a one-shot kill.

After another shot to the leg, Genya finally shot the demon’s head, finishing it off. As the demon’s body began to crumble and blow away in the wind, Genya ran up to you. He felt bad that you saw him in such rage and was probably going to get scolded for ‘prolonging the battle’ later, but he didn’t care. You could tell Genya’s mind was racing and that he was still angry. You pulled him into an embrace, which he returned. Having you in his arms now made him finally feel some relief.

“I’m okay, Genya…”

Kaigaku followed his crow in the sky. He was told he needed to back up another slayer close to his area. When he turned the corner in the seemingly abandoned village he saw you jumping back, your sword nowhere to be seen. You looked at him becoming distracted for a moment before the demon swung at you and knocked you back.

“You idiot!” *Kaigaku yelled as he unsheathed his sword, you couldn’t tell if that was directed at you or the demon. The sound of Kaigaku’s thunder was all you heard as you brought yourself back to your feet. Looking over to Kaigaku you watched as he placed his sword back into the sheath on his back, before looking back at you with a stern look. He picked up your sword that had been knocked away by the demon. “You need to be more careful.”

“I know…” You said, reaching out for the sword before he held it back. He clearly wasn’t pleased with you. “Kaigaku, I really am sorry.” You said as you looked up at him. His stern look wavered slightly for a moment. Seeing that you were getting to him you sighed and hugged him, though he didn’t hug back. “Thank you for saving me.” Kaigaku gritted his teeth before sighing, he knew he couldn’t stay mad at you.

“You better not go and die on me.”

Kaigaku couldn’t help but notice you were running late for tonight's meeting. Maybe something was holding you up, or maybe you just didn’t want to come. He stood up from his spot and decided to go looking for you. It didn’t take too long for him to hear your scream, which sent a rare feeling of panic through him. He quickly rushed toward your screams, soon finding you running away from a lower demon.

He reached for his sword as he glared down at the demon, he might not be able to kill this bastard but he sure as hell was going to make him pay. Just when you thought you were dead you swooped up high, finding yourself in Kaigaku’s arms as he stood on a nearby wall. The demon looked up and froze when he saw the kanji etched into Kaigaku’s eyes. This guy pissed of a Twelve Kizuki, and he knew it.

Kaigaku set you on the edge of the wall before jumping down. You covered your eyes, not wanting to watch what he’d do. Thankfully Kaigaku knew better than to torture and mutilate this demon infront of you, so he made sure to kick him back into the woods a bit. Sadly, that wasn’t enough to keep you from hearing the screams from the demon.

Eventually Kaigaku returned to your side, blood stains on his black kimono. Despite what just happened he couldn’t help but smile as he placed a hand on your cheek.

“Like I said, I’m always going to keep you safe…”

GAH! I'm so late on getting to any requests! I'm so sorry!

Kaigaku isn’t one to care too much for nature

I mean, he cares where the meat comes from, but the animal itself? Nah, not his problem

As far as the trees and stuff? Yeah, he doesn’t care too much either

But if it matters a lot to his partner he can bite his tongue about it

He’s not going to interact too much with any animals you may have, only if you push him too will he pet

He is willing to carry feed or any that might be heavy. It’s a chance to show off and keep you from getting hurt

He won’t care too much to help with a garden, if you let him weed it for you he might get careless and tear out your plants

There are some times where he feels like your garden or animals get more attention than he does

He’ll get in a bit of a mood when that happens, but he’ll never admit he was jealous of animals or plants

He’s not super thrilled with how much you like being outside since his job has him constantly on the move.

He likes the idea of relaxing inside when he has some time off

Matching Nails (Demon!Kaigaku X Reader)

Here's a fluffy little one shot where the reader decides to get their nails done to match Kaigaku's nails.

Fake nails weren't commonly found, but all beauty secrets eventually slipped out of the courtesans’ mouths. And what was the most recent spilled secret? Fake nails.

When you first saw false nails being applied to another woman's nails in the marketplace, your mind immediately went to your friend, Kaigaku. Not that anyone else knew he was your friend, or who he even was. You weren’t surprised that nobody even thought about it, after all, very few people here believed in demons. You were skeptical at first, until the night you ran into him. 

You had found yourself unable to sleep, and decided to walk through the orchard behind your house. As you walked through the trees, noting which fruits would have to be picked tomorrow, a voice found its way to your ears.

You weren’t sure who’d be out here late at night, and while it would usually be enough to get you running back to your house, you chose to investigate. Slowly making your way closer to the voice, who was obviously sound frustrated at the selection that was available, a figure became visible.

A boy with black hair faced one of the peach trees, his back facing you. He quickly pulled the sword out of the sheath on his back and cut down a lone branch with a peach. Just as quickly, his sword was back in the sheath and the peach was in his hand. A frustrated sigh came from his mouth after he bit into it.

“Aren’t there any decent peaches out here? What’s with this place?”

Obviously he wasn’t talking to you, but you felt compelled to answer him. “That’s because they’re almost out of season, and I picked all the ripe ones yesterday!” You were somewhat frustrated with this stranger, cutting down branches from your trees and then complaining.

The boy immediately whipped his head around to look at you, and your blood ran cold. This guy wasn’t human. He had black scarelas surrounding intense blue eyes, nails that were closer claws and fangs that caught the moon's light as he stared at you. He could have just settled to eat you right there, but there was something about you that made him take interest.

And there was something about him that made you interested too.

“It’s a very interesting choice…” the lady applying your nails said, snapping you out of your thoughts. Now that you think about it, long black nails probably weren't exactly what everyone else had been getting. 

“Well, I’m hoping to be matching nails with my friend…” You said nervously. You weren’t sure what to say next, in fact you hadn’t been listening to anything else she was saying.

“You two must be going out of town then, Yoshiwara?” She asked, not questioning your excuse.

“Not Yoshiwara, but we’ll be out.” You said as she finished your nails. After thanking her and paying, all that was left to do was wait for night to come. You quickly found out that your new nails made things a bit more difficult than you thought. But you managed to unlock your door and go about regular business until nightfall.

Once the full moon was visible in the sky, you left your house and went towards the peach trees in the orchard with a basket in hand. You had purposely skipped picking the peaches earlier that day since you knew Kaigaku would be wanting to eat some.

As expected, Kaigaku was there eating peaches. Your laugh made him turn around mid-bite. You kept your hands behind your back, wanting to surprise him with your matching nails. “I see you beat me here.” You said as you walked over to him.

“Of course I did, I’m much faster than you are.” He chuckled, “though I appreciate you leaving the peaches for me.”

“Yeah, I thought it’d be one of the nice surprises of the night.” You said, confusing Kaigaku.

“Surprises? What are you talking about?” He said, intrigued by your statement. “Does the other surprise have to do with you keeping your hands behind your back?” 

You nodded, trying to keep the smile on your face from getting any bigger. “So, I was thinking that it’d be nice if we did something matching for a change…”

Kaigaku titled his head in confusion, “Matching?” While the thought of having something matching with you wasn’t a bad idea to him, he didn’t have a clue of what it would be. While he wouldn’t reject anything you might make for him, he really didn’t want to change his wardrobe.

You brought your hands from behind your back to show your nails. “Aren’t they great?” You said, way too excited.

Kaigaku felt heat rush to his face, your nails matching his? He actually found it cute that you wanted to match something with him, and even more so that you took the time (and money) to have your nails match. Kaigaku brought his hands up next to yours, “I’m surprised you got your nails done, won’t they make your job here difficult though?”

Kaigaku mentally cursed himself for pointing out the flaw in your attempt to do something you thought would be fun. Thankfully, you laughed it off as a joke. “They have made a few things difficult, I have no idea how you got used to them!”

“I got used to them pretty quickly, after all, they tend to come with the ‘demon package’, as you like to call it.” 

“Well, since you're used to your nails, maybe you can help me pick some of these for tomorrow’s market?” You asked as you picked up the basket.

“I’ll help you, though you might not end up with as many peaches as usual.”

What if Kaigaku and his s/o started a family?

You didn't say if you wanted headcannons or not so I did this quick story! Thank you for requesting it. I feel like Kaigaku would be that constantly nervous stand-off-ish dad since he never had his parents growing up, but I honestly don't think he'd run from it either! (Fight me on this)

Kaigaku and S/O Starting a Family

You smiled as you sat on the edge of the engawa, a cup of tea in your hands. The sound of a foot step and wood peg behind you made you turn around to see Master Jigoro. You smiled, “I see you’ve finished writing back to Zenitsu.” You said as he came to sit by you.

“That boy is always finding something new to complain about, but at least he is still working.” Master Jigoro said, taking a sip of his own cup of tea. “Did Kaigaku mention a certain time he said he’d be here?” He asked you.

“Not specifically, but he said it’d be before sundown.” You said smiling at your tea, thinking about how to break the news to Kaigaku as you set a hand on your stomach. “I told him I needed to talk to him.”

“I’m assuming you didn’t tell him what it was about?” Jigoro asked. You shook your head, you thought about including the news in your letter but thought better of it.

“Well, I was worried that if I told him that I was pregnant he wouldn’t come…” You said sadly. 

“Kaigaku is a stubborn one, but he’s not going to run away from this,” Jigoro said before raising his cane up in the air, “Besides, it wasn’t just Zenitsu I had to whip into shape with this!” He said, causing you both to laugh.

Later that afternoon Kaigaku came back home exhausted. You decided that it’d be better to wait until later that night to tell him the news. Kaigaku knew something was up though, the way you constantly smiled at Master Jigoro and the fact you couldn’t sit still made it clear there was a secret. And since your kimono did a good job of covering your slowly forming baby bump, he had no clue what it could be.

After dinner both you and Kaigaku took a bath together, something you two did whenever you finally got to be together after being apart for long periods of time. It was nice that the house here had it’s own small hot spring, the perks of living with a former Hashira. The last time was also when you got… Well, let’s just say he wouldn’t be getting any for a while. It had almost been two months, you desperately wanted to write to him to tell him the news, but you felt like it had to be said in person.

“It’s been way too long.” Kaigaku said as he came up behind you and wrapped his arms around you. “I missed you.” He breathed against your neck before kissing it. Too bad for him though, that wasn’t going to be happening tonight.

“Kaigaku, I don’t think now is a good time…” You said, making his chuckle and pull back before beginning to unbutton his uniform. You slowly began to loosen your kimono, nervous about telling him. “And there’s actually something I need to talk to you about…” You said softly.

“What? Did Master hear us last time?” He chuckled as he got into the water. “It’s not my fault you get so noisy~” He teased, looking back and wondering why you still hadn’t undressed.

“Well, he certainly found out…” You said, finally letting your kimono slip off your shoulders. “It’s just… Well, y-you see…” You turned around and made your way to the tub, unable to speak. Kaigaku saw your baby bump and knew exactly what had happened. He tensed up as you sat next to him in the water.

The two of you sat in silence for a long time before he spoke up. “Are you supposed to be in the hotspring right now?” He looked at you with a mixed expression, great concern but with a look that said ‘are you crazy?’ too.

“But… This is what we always do together…” You said, looking off to the side. Kaigaku had a point, being pregnant in the hot spring probably wasn’t a good idea. Only for a few minutes. “I just thought we could do this one more time before- woah!” Your words were cut off by Kaigaku picking you up and setting you on the edge.

“Don’t.” He said sharply and looked away, before realizing his tone was rather rude. He let out a sigh before continuing, “Don’t do things that’s going to cause problems with… this.” He said, avoiding the word ‘baby’. Kaigaku looked at you before speaking, “Have you been pregnant for two months, and you never said anything about it? Why didn’t you write to me?” He asked.

“I… I’m sorry… I know that you don’t like kids and that me being pregnant wasn’t something that either of us planned for…” You said, afraid to tell him that you feared he would never return if he found out. “As a Demon Slayer, your always going from one mission to the next, I wanted to tell you in person so we could talk about it.” You felt like crying, “I’m so sorry, Kaigaku…”

Kaigaku sighed and put his hand gently on your shoulder. “No, (Y/N)... I… I should have been more careful with… Well, it’s not just your fault.” He said, still processing the news. “Is Master the only one who knows right now?” He asked.

“Just him and the doctor in town.” You said, “I wanted to talk about it with you first before telling anyone else.. Besides, I don’t really have any family to tell…” You said looking down.

Kaigaku ran his fingers through his hair and let out another sigh, “Well… We’re going to have to figure this out…”

After the two of you finished bathing, which was really more of Kaigaku bathing himself and you to keep you from ‘over-doing things’ in his words, the two of you returned to the living space to speak with Master Jigoro. Kaigaku seemed tense and uncomfortable as Jigoro spoke. It was clear that Kaigaku had no way out of this, but it seemed like Kaigaku had no plan to leave either.

You’d remain with Master Jigoro while Kaigaku returned more often, hopefully once a month until you reached the final weeks of your pregnancy. While the agreement was simple and agreeable you still felt uneasy.

“Ahh, (Y/N)! I’m gonna be an uncle!” Zenitsu’s loud voice echoed in the living room. Zenitsu had finally gotten a chance to return to the home two months later, and knew the second he saw you that he was pregnant. He was so excited for you, and his energy felt contagious, but you knew you couldn’t run around like he was.

It was nice to have Zenitsu that weekend. The two of you spent time relaxing, Zenitsu insisted on talking about the baby the whole time. Baby names, baby clothes, just nonstop baby stuff! Eventually the blonde boy had to leave in tears, saying that he should stay because you're pregnant but he was dragged away by fellow core members.

Five more months passed, and you were due to give birth any day now. You rested in your room when you heard the front door slide open “I’m home!” Kaigaku’s familiar voice rang through the home as he entered. “(Y/N)?” He called out.

“I’m in my room!” You shouted, not getting up. Master Jigoro has recently suggested that you only get up if you have to, like going to the bathroom. Kaigaku quickly made his way back to your room, looking relieved to see you again. You smiled at him as you tried to sit up.

“Don’t sit up, (Y/N)!” He said, making you roll your eyes. Everyone has been so overprotective recently, and it’s starting to get a little overbearing. He sat down next to you and moved some hair out of your face, “You’re due any day now, so don’t be so stubborn.” He said, making you laugh considering how stubborn he was.

“I know…” You sighed, wishing that you could get up and do things like you used to. Kaigaku’s hand left your face and gently settled on your stomach.

“I still can’t believe this is happening…” He breathed out. You smiled at him.

Later that night you awoke to a painful cramping feeling, and you knew what was happening. “K-Kaigaku!” You shouted, waking him up. He quickly sat up, looking fearful that something terrible had happened to you. Your breathing became labored, “K-Kaigku! The b-baby!” 

Kaigaku realized what was happening and went into panic mode. He quickly left the room to notify Master Jigoro before heading to the nearby town for a midwife.

While it only took less than an hour for Kaigaku to return with help, you ended up staying in labor for almost four hours. Four. Excruciating. Hours.

But at the end of it all, a beautiful baby girl was born. Kaigaku had a look of emotion you hadn’t seen before. He was teary or anything, but it was a softer side of him you’d never seen before as the girl was placed in his arms. Maybe, just maybe, this parenting thing wasn’t going to be as bad as he thought…

Kaigaku only had a few more weeks off until he had to resume his duty as a core member, so the two of you spent as much time together with the baby as you could. Zenitsu even stopped by, much to Kaigaku’s dismay, to visit you two.

Eventually the break was over for Kaigaku and he had to return to work, but the two of you continued to write to each other every day (that poor crow!) and he did his best to visit.

When Kaigaku did return, he still had some hesitation with the baby. He held the baby with a worried, uncertain look on his face. One day you finally decided to talk to him about it.

“Kaigaku, what’s wrong? You always look… so uncomfortable when you’re holding her.” You asked. Kaigaku continued to stare down at the baby, before handing her back to you.

“The next day is never certain when your a demon slayer, if she knows me… What will happen to her if I don’t come back one day?” He asked, looking down. You finally understood where this behavior was coming from.

“I know that’s how it is being a demon slayer, but I still want her to know you! And… If there is a day when you don’t come home, I’ll make sure that she knows who you are…”

Kaigaku sighed, “I know, (Y/N). You know… I didn’t have my parents so this is all…” He let out another sigh as he sentance trailed off.

“Yeah, well, it’s going to take a lot to kill you, Kaigaku!” You said, making Kaigaku chuckle. “You’re a great swordsman, and it’s not like you’re going to run into something you can’t handle, " I heard from Jigoro that one of the lower members of the twelve Kizuki got taken out by the Water Hashira pretty easily.”

Kaigaku smiled at the baby, “Yeah, it’d take one of the upper demons to take me out, and no one sees those guys these days…”

Both of you knew tomorrow’s fate was never certain, but the two of you were ready to hold on to what you both had for as long as you could.

Geishas are a class of female Japanese performing artists and entertainers trained in traditional Japanese performing arts styles, such as dance, music and singing, as well as being proficient conversationalists and hosts. Their distinct appearance is characterised by long, trailing kimono, traditional hairstyles and oshiroi make-up. Geisha entertain at parties known as ozashiki, often for the entertainment of wealthy clientele, as well as performing on stage and at festivals.

They often are mistaken for oirans(prostitute) for the western people due to the similarities of their kimono and makeup(geishas can't have sex with clients).

Sorry I haven’t filled any requests lately, I’ve been procrastinating (I have no excuse). For some reason this one really stumped me but I swear I tried my best

Kaigaku is more than proud of your beauty and work

And it’s a boost to his (ever so important) for you to be with him

That being said, the amount of admirers you have really irks him

He can’t make a scene either since he’s worried it might damage your reputation

All he can do is clench his jaw and watch

Genya gets jealous as well but how he handles it is dependant on where you’re at

can I please request an angst of kaigaku x reader

[sorry it’s very long, you can use/or treat it as Idea if you want]

where they’re both on the mission and it leads into chapter 145 backstory/has girl training arc and he gives in to his own selfish desires and accepts his offer to become a demon and reader leaves the barn or whatever they were in, with guilt that she couldn’t stop UM 1, kaigaku from turning demon and of course the civilians blood on her hands that she couldn’t save from the demon to which she returns back that night, she leaves the corps and her title of tsuguko.

Ah, thank you for the request! I haven’t written angst before and now that I think about it it’s not something I even read, but I tried my best to write some! It ended up a bit on the shorter side, so I’m sorry about that. I think I shall call this one: "Betrayal" Warning(s): Angst, mention of Jigoro's suicide

“Kaigaku! Quit running so far ahead!” You yelled, trying to keep up with your partner's speed. Kaigaku’s head was too far up his ass for his own good, always believing he could handle any situation. You were worried one of these days he’d get himself in over his head he’d get hurt, or even die. “Have you ever considered what Master Jigoro tells us? Work together?”

Kaigaku scoffed, slightly slowing his pace. “Oh please, that old man doesn’t know anything. I work better alone; I can’t believe I got stuck with you!” He growled as you rolled your eyes. The two of you soon made it to your destination. 

“The demon is here somewhere… We’re splitting up, I’m going east.” He said, dashing off without letting you speak. You shook your head, this stubborn boy you managed to fall for was such a headache. You turned west and decided to search the homes there.

You checked the first house, all were dead. The next house was the same, and so were all the other houses. Your stomach churned at the realization that you two were too late to help these people. You could only hope that Kaigaku might have found some people alive on his side. When you were sure that the demon wasn't on this side of town you quickly hurried to where Kaigaku was.

As you made your way there, you could sense the presence of a demon, but it was different. It felt like the air was heavy, dragging your body down. You slowed down, walking quietly as your body trembled. You peeked around the corner and couldn’t believe what you saw.

A demon with six eyes… Those eyes… The rank of Upper One was engraved. No, this was more than you could handle, more than either of you could handle. You looked for Kaigaku and saw him kneeling down in front of the demon, seemingly holding something in his hands. You could see his whole body shaking as he brought his hands to his mouth.

You’re eyes widened when you realized what was happening. You wanted to scream his name, to stop him from making this mistake but you couldn’t move. You could only watch as Kaigaku drank the blood that the demon had given.

After he drank he let out a scream of pain as he hunched over on the ground, the transformation setting in. “No…” You whispered, catching the Upper Rank’s attention. He grabbed Kaigaku by his hair, forcing him to sit up. He looked in your direction before he vanished.

You’re blood ran cold as Kaigaku looked at you, blood dripping down his chin as he panted. Those beautiful blue eyes now had blackness surrounding him, stripes had formed on his cheeks as his ears became pointed. He brought himself to his feet as he kept his eyes locked on you.

This wasn’t Kaigaku, this wasn’t your Kaigaku… You stepped back slowly, feeling tears forming in your eyes. “What… What is wrong with you!” You shouted at him, something you’d never done before. “Why would you do this! Why did you have to have us split up! Why-”

Your words were cut off when you were slammed against a wall, Kaigaku’s hand clamping over your mouth. “Shut. Up.” He growled, “If we were together we both would have died, I would have been killed because of you.”

“You infuriate me, all of you! I’m not dying, I’m going to keep living, I’m going to win! You… You can run away… Tell everyone everything that’s happened, but it won’t change anything for you… You're weak… and pathetic…”

 Kaigaku threw you onto the ground before he walked away. You couldn’t bring yourself to your feet. Soon the Kakushi showed up, but you couldn’t speak, the shock lasted longer than you thought. You didn’t need to speak though, the Kasugai crows saw everything.

Shortly after the news of Kaigaku’s betrayal made it’s way through the core, the news of Master Jigoro’s suicide followed. You felt like your world was falling apart around you. You couldn’t sleep or eat anymore, every little thing felt like too much. And one day, you dropped your sword and left. Your days as a tsuguko was over, your days with the core were over. You wandered through the countryside, you didn’t know where you were going either. Weeks later, you still had no place to go. You dropped to your knees on the trail. You looked up to the moon and cried. There was nothing left, you were alone…

But what you didn’t know was that a pair of familiar blue eyes was watching you from the rooftop…
