Who’s your favorite anime character(s)?
I’m so bad at picking just one so here’s off the top of my head ❤️ Weird amount of sisters but alright.
Saya Otonashi & DIVA from Blood+
Yuno Gasai from Future Diary
Retsu Unohana & Mayuri Kurotsuchi from Bleach
Saki Watanabe from Shinsekai Yori
Kagura Tsuchimiya & Yomi Isayama from Ga-Rei: Zero
Mion & Shion Sonozaki from Higurashi When They Cry
Do you have any anime merch?
I have a small manga collection and some art books. Some shirts and a keychain, as far as official merch goes.
The majority of my merch are prints, keychains, shirts, ect by fanartists. An enduring habit from being such an avid con-goer when I was younger.
#thank you for le asks#I’m so bad at picking one character like??? how could I just have ONE favorite

Recently finished a crossover cover between Tokyo Esp's Rinka Urushiba, Gai Rei's Kagura Tsuchimiya and Dizzy comic's Miranda. And they say don't ever meet your heroes. Go check out the Dizzy comics facebook page for more on on the indie comic and if you haven't seen Gai Rei or Tokyo ESP you're seriously wasting your time.

Anime Reviews: Ga-Rei: Zero
Another anime to keep you on edge and maybe make some tears run, here’s Ga-Rei: Zero
The show follows two swordswomen, Kagura Tsuchimiya and Yomi Isayama, who were once like sisters before suddenly becoming enemies as the latter starts killing members of the exorcist organization they work for. Before all hope seems lost, the series backtracks to how the two were brought together by tragedy and had to grow up strong in their traditionalist homes to be exorcists. Slowly, we see the sisterly bond unravel as more tragedy strikes in the family.
Oh yeah, it’s one of those slow-burn animes where you know what’s going to happen (or what you think will happen), but you have to sit through about ten episodes tense out of your mind before getting back to the main plot. Ga-Rei: Zero also starts off pretty violent with a lot of death and blood before flipping the switch to your typical slice-of-life/supernatural show. You’re almost lured into a false sense of security with how most of the series has quite the number of light-hearted and sometimes comedic scenes, but remember how the first couple episodes went and are just dying to know what’s going to happen in the end.
The bond between Kagura and Yomi makes this show. These two girls went through so much, but still grew up together to make the best of everything. BUT it all still went to shit anyway, and you’re drawn to see what happened to bring them to such a dramatic stand off. I like seeing a lot of the family drama with the heavy latch onto tradition and how that hinders their maturity and all the forces pushing the break in the bond. It’s a lot hitting these girls at once, and you can’t help but feel sorry for them.
This is just a great tragedy so much different than stuff I’m used to like Clannad or Your Lie in April. There’s a lot of great action, unique supernatural elements, and just the perfect amount of time establishing character relationships without overstaying its welcome and getting back on track. Even when it’s light-hearted, it doesn’t damper the tone of the rest of the show. A great recommendation if you want to get your feelings on.

Hello, I like your blog! :D What are your top 5 anime?
aah, thank you so much for the compliment! (you also have the honor of being my first ask, thanks!) :D
top five below!
1. Ga-Rei-Zero
Though the fandom basically doesn’t exist and I haven’t gif-ed it yet, Ga-Rei-Zero is one of the first anime I’ve come to love this much. It gets better and better with each episode, and the first two episodes are amazing already!
Yomi Isayama’s family adopted Kagura Tsuchimiya after her mother died, and the two developed a sisterly bond as they trained together as they work as exorcists for Japan’s Supernatural Defense Agency. As Yomi and her older cousin Mei form a rivalry over becoming the next head of the Isayama family, Kagura continues to hone her skills as an exorcist. Yomi grows to spite herself, and her relationship with Kagura begins to wither.
Ga-Rei-Zero underlines the strong relationship between Yomi and Kagura and accompanies it with its wonderfully-done action scenes. Ga-Rei-Zero was quite the emotional ride all the way through. (I don’t recommend the manga, btw).
2. Little Witch Academia
Though it starts out episodic (I don’t usually like episodic series), every single episode is wonderful and very entertaining. Nice lessons, happy feelings, and great character development, to sum it up.
When she attended the formerly-famous Shiny Chariot’s magic show as a kid, Atsuko “Akko” Kagari grew up wanting to learn magic and become a witch like Chariot despite her lack of magic abilities. She’s admitted to Luna Nova, the magic school Chariot attended, due to the decrease in enrolling students and the fact that magic is dying. Akko finds the “Shiny Rod,” which Chariot used in her shows, and is determined to return it to her. When she discovers the secret to reviving magic, Akko searches for what’s known as the Seven Words in hope to find Chariot on her journey.
Though some episodes are certainly better than others, Little Witch Academia does an amazing job at presenting everything: characters, plot, and that plot twist that killed everyone in the fandom. Character and relationship development is probably my favorite part of this series, and it’s also why I’ve grown to love everyone, or not dislike at least (aka Andrew Hanbridge).
3. Hibike! Euphonium (Sound! Euphonium)
Wonderful animation (it’s Kyoto Animation, after all), wonderful characters, wonderful everything. Even though it’s about concert band, I can relate to the characters completely, since I’m in orchestra, and I sure do love this series.
Euphonist Kumiko Oumae had a falling-out in middle school with her friend Reina Kousaka when they had conflicting feelings over a band competition. The former expected nothing out of it, but the latter put her all into it. Entering Kitauji High School, previously known for its supreme concert band until its downfall with a new club adviser, Kumiko didn’t initially intend to join the band club. Eventually, things happen, and soon she’s putting everything she can into helping Kitauji go to the national band competition again, involving herself in others’ relationships, and rekindling her relationship with trumpeter Reina.
Season 1 focuses more on Kumiko’s developing love for band (and Reina), while Season 2 traverses everybody’s relationships around Kumiko and presents more of a dramatic slice-of-life feel. Depending on your tastes, you’ll probably prefer one season over the other. Regardless, what KyoAni unarguably did get right was their perfectly flawed characters and the stunning animation.
4. Fune wo Amu (The Great Passage)
This one might be boring for a lot of people, but personally, I loved it.
Mitsuya Majime works as a salesperson for Genbu Publishing, though his job is completely contradictory to his personality; he’s bookish, thoughtful, and has a love for language. Kouhei Araki works in the dictionary editorial department of the same company, and is looking to retire. However, he first needs to find a replacement for himself to help work on Genbu Publishing’s new dictionary, The Great Passage. Majime’s interest in words lands him a new job in the dictionary editorial department, where he endures problems relating to work, relationships, and his struggle to find himself in this sea of words.
Fune wo Amu presents such a unique plot that it’s unforgettable (for me at least). This calming slice-of-life, unlike many other anime series, portrays work, romance, and self-satisfaction very realistically, leaving me with happy feelings after each episode. Watching Majime grow as The Great Passage nears completion was a satisfying experience.
I honestly can’t choose a fifth (I haven’t actually watched that much anime compared to others), so instead I’ll put down some honorable mentions:
1. Noragami
2. Amanchu!
3. Flip Flappers
4. Last Exile
Sorry if my summaries were too long (I need to get better at that). Thanks for the ask! :)
