intro to au

this au is about the shurara corps. There is a new thing going on this planet keron called classifications. There are 3 different classifications someone can get. "Rittoru" is the classification of childishness. "Keagibaa" is the classification of parentalness. There is also the "Flip" classification, which means you are both at the same time.

who gave ene's cyber journey the right to be so emotionally intense while also being a bunch of internet references

like just take the "kimi o korosu?" line "dare o korosu? kimi o korosu? / kurukuru kurukuru to mawatte sa"

i really like that koro as in kill becomes kuru as in spin. She's referring to the "blue compass" which is mentioned a few times throughout the song, which obviously refers to Safari the web browser and thus kinda to the web as a whole. and it "points" her to these really dark corners of the internet filled with hate and who knows what, and she equates the spinning of the compass to literal death as she's effectively forced to doomscroll forever.

and then musically it comes right before that key change and just ugh. it's so despairing while also maintaining such momentum. it matches ene so well. i feel so bad for her i wish she was real so i could give her a hug

Ok sorry this is such a dumb question but where do you get your kagememes, like I know you make them but the actual text posts and stuff. Like what is the key word you look up to find them

some are my own screenshots from posts in my dash, some others are from twitter accounts of (random show) as textposts. i also get slideshows on tiktok with textposts but those just show in my fyp sometimes and i take screenshots of any that i liked.

there's no key word im afraid i just find them and save them in a folder til i have enough to post!!

hibiya is half the reason i consider song timeline to kinda be its own thing

like Jin has said that kgpr is inspired by The Who's Tommy, an album which famously has an essentially noncanon film adaptation. and like, the general opinion among fans of Tommy that I know is that the film is a good interpretation of the album but it's not the same as the album and I kinda tend to see kgpr the same way. like, the written media is a very good interpretation of the music but sometimes I just don't interpret it the same way, and HibiHiyo are one of those situations where I just feel like that interpretation kinda loses me. Him being a weird creepy stalker genuinely fucks up Kagerou Daze/Konoha's World Situation to the extent that I have decided to de-canonize that plot point in My Interpretation. In the @shintaroskeyboard version of Kagerou Project they're best friends sorry

hibiya's actually one of the worst victims of jin's misogynistic writing which is Lol but seriously how sad is it that a character whose meant to represent the helplessness of a child being deprived of autonomy in the face of the cruelty of adults and the courage and drive possessed by a child who just wants to be with their friend, is instead reduced to being an incel stalker freak for a good 40-60% of his appearances.... like damn

I feel like one of the biggest disconnects I have with the kagepro fandom as a mostly music-only fan is that I have such different perceptions of all the characters. like, take Ene/Takane for example. she has 4 songs: Jinzou Enemy, in which she longs for companionship before being deleted; Headphone Actor, in which she has a weird metaphorical vision of the world ending; Ene's Cyber Journey, in which her soul is sucked out of her body and into cyberspace, and she is traumatized by all the hate she sees on the internet; and Yuukei Yesterday, in which she longs to confess her feelings to her crush before dying.

Never in any of this is there any indication that she's silly. That she'd do something like call someone Master or do the alarm thing from the novels/MCA. Music Timeline Ene is a profoundly edgy character. And like, I've read the books and all, so I know what she's like in that version, but when I'm listening to Mekakucitydays in my car on the way home from work the Ene I'm imagining singing those lyrics is edgy.

This kinda goes for all of them. Shintaro in particular has it too. Toumei Answer: Shintaro laments the death of his best friend and regrets not doing more to stop it. Lost Time Memory: Shintaro regains his repressed memories, filled with loneliness and sorrow, confronts his past and awakens to his power. Remind Blue: Shintaro is haunted by his memories as he grows up and becomes an adult. NOWHERE in any of these lyrics does the word "gamer" appear. He states in LTM that he "lived a life of indulgence" but the socially inept loser we know from novel/manga/MCA is lyrically nonexistent. Music Shintaro is also very edgy.

Anyway sometimes I remember that other kgpr fans don't mostly know the characters through just listening to the albums over and over again and it kinda throws me off. Kgpr will always be music to me first and foremost
