By the time Revan Adarii gets her Hogwarts letter on her eleventh birthday, she's known for years where she belongs. Orphaned as a child, the only good memories she has of the orphanage that raised her are with Alek, her best-and only-friend. But Hogwarts isn't the sanctuary the two of them always dreamed it would be, and navigating this new world they've only ever had a small taste of proves more and more that the only place they belong is with each other. With Revan more and more ostracized from her peers, seen as Dark for the colors she wears and the way she casts spells, she turns to the journal of a boy named Tenebrae who disappeared fifty years ago-a boy just like her.
As tensions surrounding Muggleborns grow in the wizarding world, encouraged by the shadowy Dark Lord Vitiate and his followers, Revan finds herself the center of attention from several different angles. Adopted by the Fett family matriarch, head of one of the most influential pureblood families in the UK, and apprenticed to the Minister of Magic, Valkorion, she finds her path increasingly leading downward into the same darkness she's always been told she'd find her way to.
She can't quite find it in herself to care.

Milestones I Cherish
I am 37 years old. I have a 2-year-old daughter. I have a bachelor's degree in Public Justice. I work a blue collar job. I have been in my job for over 11 years now. I have a cat and a rabbit. I love my cat just as much (maybe more) than my daughter. I am married. My wife is the actual best (she is super talented). I identify as Transgender but also nonbinary. I love theater. NYC is my favorite place on earth. I would never want to live in NYC.
My work life is a mess right now. There are big changes coming to my workplace and it is creating a lot of stress and uncertainty. I’m lucky because I work for a company that is growing and has never engaged in layoffs even when closing departments. I have job security and a union to ensure it. It has still created lots of turmoil and anxiety for me this year. I recently turned 37 and I feel like I am getting older. Chronic pain that I have had since high school is starting to really flare up more often. I have a daughter who makes me think a lot more about the future and what it holds. I’m middle-aged.
Despite all of the things that are seem wrong in my life, I actually am lucky, happy, and stable. The doubts about my career choices and my massive debt from a degree I am not using are outweighed by my job stability while headed into an increasingly uncertain global economy. I met my wife and so many friends I cherish at college. I was able to escape a small town and figure out who I was. The recent rise in popularity of the term non-binary has given me a more accurate term to label myself in a world that loves labels. I have a wonderful family and I am able to pursue the things I love...mainly theater.
So, what the hell is this post doing under the Sleep No More tag? Well, my increasing aches and pains, coupled with turning 37 and having a 2-year-old have really made me think a lot about mortality and aging. It is easy to get stuck in the negatives but I am so often reminded of the positives. Those milestones: family, living authentically, job security, financial stability, ability to pursue the theater I love.
Sleep No More is undoubtedly my most loved piece of theater. Kae says I am a different person when I am at the McKittrick Hotel but I think, perhaps, I am a more authentic person. It is a comfortable place full of other people just as weird as I am. It felt safe and anonymous when I started going, letting me explore at my own pace. It was a welcome respite from my social anxiety. You don’t have to be male or female, you just have to be a polite audience member. There is no pressure to make small talk and chance coming off as an antisocial weirdo. There is no goals or prizes to be won. It is just a beautiful theater full of talented people.
Space evolves the more you go. It starts to lose some of the mystery at certain points. You learn the layout of the building eventually and there is no more magic about how you suddenly got from one room to another. You, one by one accumulate more experiences including 1:1′s. There is no longer mystery about what is behind that door. You learn your favorite characters loops and unlock their basic stories and motivations. The story of Sleep No More goes from random scenes to a fuzzy picture of events to a fully focused and elaborate story. You start to unlock the theatrical tricks and notice lighting or sound designs. You find it fun to look at things like audience flow and how loops are designed to create or avoid congestion in areas. You can no longer see the show with fresh eyes but that doesn’t mean you don’t enjoy every second in the building. Now it is fun to see others see it for the first time with fresh eyes.
Now I enjoy small talk with some of the staff and cast. The building is chalked full of good people. They are talented and kind and usually more than willing to spare a few moments to talk. I try to be aware of their time and not monopolize it but it’s great to be able to tell a performer that you really appreciated a performance. The staff is lovely and patient beyond words. The kinds of things that they put up with on a daily basis are sometimes ridiculous but they keep the show running smoothly and professionally. They don’t get nearly enough praise for what they do day in and out.
Some of the things I am most thankful for and that make it easiest to be my most authentic self are the friends I have met in that building. The Manderley is a lot like any other bar. There are regulars and eventually, those regulars start to become friendly with each other. Some of the people that I consider dear friends are people I met after chatting in the Manderley or braving the cold line outside the building together for an hour. Like many people, we created this blog anonymously. We signed our early posts “W” and “K”. We didn’t post pictures or ever link to our other social media accounts. Eventually, we stopped because this world of the McKittrick became a real part of our lives. Our friends here became friends there.
The second year after we got into the show, for my birthday, Kae surprised me with a bunch of amazing Sleep No More art. She contacted lots of other fans that had been active on Tumblr and asked if she could commission artwork. Not only did many of these people we barely knew (and many of whom we had never met) make amazing pieces for me but they all refused to take payment for it. I met most of them for the first time at Inferno 2.0 and most of them are people I now call friends. The fandom is full of amazing and kind people. Years later, many people knew we were thinking about having a baby. It is a bit of a process if you don’t have the biological means and we discovered my wife was pregnant in November. We mad the decision to not really tell a lot of people until February but some of the first people we did tell were friends we met through the show because we attended the New Year’s party at the hotel and she wasn’t drinking. We could have probably played it off as being between treatments but it was exciting news and we shared it.
So many milestones are littered nowadays with thoughts of the McKittrick Hotel. It has opened us up to other amazing immersive theater. I recently celebrated a SNM milestone. The last show I did when we were in New York for Halloween was my 100th show at Sleep No More. It was an amazing show. It was a Friday Late show and it was VERY undersold. Like 130 audience members. It was nice to have a show that was easy to navigate. One of the cast members slipped me this piece of paper.
It was a great show for so many reasons. Today I return to the hotel for my 101 show. It also happens to be the 5 year anniversary of the first time I set foot in the building. A year full of milestones.
I didn’t think I would like the show the first time Kae dragged me to it but by the time it ended I was hooked. I went back to our hotel and immediately bought tickets to a show the next night. An immediate obsession that I didn’t think would last 5 years. I am not sure anyone 5 years ago would have guessed that this show would still be running today. I am forever grateful for the time I have been given with this show. I hope I will get to write another post 5 years from now celebrating 10 years at the hotel. If there is one thing I know, however, it’s that I should cherish every visit. We never saw the Drowned Man but it has taught me to be thankful for what I have. Everything eventually dies. Mortality isn’t limited to humans. At some point, the McKittrick Hotel will cease to exist as a place on 27th Street in Chelsea. Like the Drowned Man, it will be relegated to our memories and dreams. I don’t know if it’s better to lose something you love after a short time when it’s still newer and a bit more exciting like the Drowned Man or to lose something that has been a staple of your life but has evolved into something more permanent and comforting like Sleep No More. The loss hurts in different ways I’m sure.
Even if it continues to run for decades to come, at some point I will become too old to enjoy it in the same way. Having a 2-year-old has taught me that you are only as old as you feel and I am feeling older than I was 5 years ago. 11 years of physical work in my day job is taking a toll on my joints and eventually I will be less able and willing to climb 5 flights of stairs after the nurse. During the Agnes 1:1, I often times find myself thinking about a day I won’t be able to return to Manderley.
Mortality and milestones. For now, I will go and enjoy celebrating 5 years in this magical building. I will do things that my hip will resent tomorrow and cherish what I have at the moment. I will continue to seize opportunities that are given to me in the hotel and enjoy the company of the wonderful people who inhabit it. I will dance with witches, chat with bartenders, tip the coat check, and create memories that will live on after the hotel is no longer in my reach.
Here’s to 5 years of life with the McKittrick and here’s to 5 more hopefully!

Seratoph is Asked Questions by a Disembodied Voice
Art did by me but I’ll make some better stuff in the future i swear
BASICS
► Name ➔ “Seratoph. Just Seratoph. There are nicknames, but that’s basically it.”
► Are you single ➔ “Uh, y-yeah! I mean, I joke here and there, and I like thinking about it, but it’s nothing I actively search for. Maybe I’ll run into it some day.”
► Are you happy ➔ “It’s a weird mix. I’m dealing w-with a lot right now, but at the same time, I feel like my friends have my back. Emotionally and physically, th-that is.”
► Are you angry ➔ “Alright. Again, it’s a weird mix. Old gang showing up? P-Pisses me the hell off. And scares me. But again, friends help.”
► Are your parents still married ➔ “My birth parents? I don’t know, they can die in a hole in all h-honesty. My. . “ A deep, regretful sigh. “Old dad, Harph, was never married while I-I was with him.”
SEVEN FACTS
► Birth Place ➔ “Darkshore. Don’t remember it much. I-I probably am not going back.”
► Hair Color ➔ “Purple, kinda. All natural.”
► Birthday ➔ “I remember it was in February! It was. . . O-Oh. Oh shit. . . Aww fuck when is my exact birthda--” A few moments pass. Probably just him going through a foolish panic. He eventually comes around. “Twenty-seventh. Let’s just say the twenty seventh.”
► Mood ➔ “Skeptical. I’m s-still on the lookout. I’m planning a strike against the Abandoned Moonlight. Making sure we weren’t followed from the first mission. B-But yeah. I’m just keeping an eye out.”
► Gender ➔ “I’m a boy. A very, very boy. . . B-Boy. I’m boy. Yeeeaaaaaaahhhhhh boooooyyyyyy. . .”
► Summer or winter ➔ “Winter. The wilds are beautiful, animals become more inclined t-to cuddle, and nights come sooner.”
► Morning or afternoon ➔ “Afternoon, p-probably. I like the night, but the sun’s out, just soaking on your skin. . . It’s the best.”
EIGHT THINGS ABOUT YOUR LOVE LIFE
► Are you in love ➔ “Not at the moment, but hey, a-again, still open to it if I happen on it.”
► Do you believe in love at first sight ➔ “I-I don’t know. Maybe at the moment, because I’m younger, yeah. But maybe when I’m a thousand or something, it’ll t-take more than just a look. But I do see some people sometimes, and I-I’m just thinking. . . Damn. You’d be nice t-to be held by next to a campfire. That’s very specific, b-but next question.”
► Who ended your last relationship ➔ “I-I’ve never had one before. I mean, non-romantic ones? The one with Harph ended because h-he thought I would be better off as an assassin and thief than as a kid!” A moment passes. “Okay. . . Deep breaths. . . Deep breaths. . .”
► Have you ever broken someone’s heart ➔ “Well, to bring up Harph again, yeah. He seemed pretty sad when me and my friends ditched him through a portal. I also broke his hand. With a blade. Wrist down. Th-Thought he’d be more pissed about that. . .”
► Are you afraid of commitments ➔ “I don’t know. So far, with all my problems, I just ran away. But I think the keg taught me th-that I need to face them sometimes. So I think that might’ve indirectly helped me w-warm up to that idea.”
► Have you hugged someone within the last week? ➔ “Yeah. Friends, family, friends-that-became-family. It feels good to be able to say that I’ve hugged someone. I-It makes me feel. . . Wanted? Which is great after going it solo for so long.”
► Have you ever had a secret admirer ➔ “No. But I’ve secret admired. Not like, intensely o-or with anyone I talk to. But as I have said earlier, once in a blue moon I-I’ll see someone who treats me and everyone nicely, and they look amazing, and they are amazing, and I’m j-just. . . Wow. How do y-you exist.”
► Have you ever broken your own heart? ➔ “I mean, I guess so. S-Set my expectations high, thought something was going to go my way. Then. . . Plop. Just a hard slap on th-the ground.”
FIVE CHOICES
► Love or lust ➔ “Love, probably. I mean, while I wouldn’t mind, y-you know. . . Having a special n-night some day. . . I think love takes priority.”
► Cats or Dogs ➔ “C-Cats. I love dogs as well, but cats have always been a comfort zone of mine. Both as an animal and as for my druid form.”
► A few best friends or many regular friends ➔ “A few best friends. Basically wh-what I have now, with a few familiar faces thrown in. I like my friends circle small. I feel closer t-to them, and more connected. And I know for a fact that th-they’re safe.”
► Wild night out or romantic night in ➔ “While the latter has it’s appeal. . . Wild night out. It’s a-always guaranteed fun.”
► Day or night ➔ “D-Do. . . Do I really need to answer this?”
FOUR HAVE YOU EVERS
► Been caught sneaking out ➔ “Well, with my old parents, no. The only time I snuck out w-was the one time they would never see me again. Then with Harph, no. Not only did he teach me how to sneak, b-but I never needed to sneak out. As long as I didn’t lead anyone back t-to where we were sleeping, I could leave whenever I wanted.”
► Fallen down/up the stairs ➔ “Like, once in a while? But I’m used to rough terrain, s-so not too often.”
► Wanted something/someone so badly it hurt? ➔ “Food, yeah. That’s when I st-started eating tree bark, which is consumable alongside meals, by the way, and i-it isn’t just me being a weird outsider! Other than that. . . Uhh. . . Friends. Th-That hurt. But I have that now.”
► Wanted to disappear ➔ “Well, yes. And t-technically, I did. For six years, before I eventually gutted up a-and walked up to the keg.”
FOUR PREFERENCES
► Smile or eyes ➔ “Uhhhh. . . Smile? I-I mean, I can read a smile more. And they usually mean someone’s happy. So when I see someone smile at me, I-I feel a bit better.”
► Shorter or Taller ➔ “If I had t-to choose, then taller. I don’t really mind, but something about someone wh-who’s just towering, but in a non-threatening way, m-makes me feel a bit safer. Like they’d be able to beat back anyone who tried to start something nearby.”
► Intelligence or Attraction ➔ “I g-guess. . . Intelligence? But not like, how long they were in school, or how many techniques they know by heart to put me in a ch-chokehold. More l-like, how well they know how to navigate life. And what they do with their experiences.”
► Hook-up or Relationship ➔ “Probably relationship. I-I mean, I guess the former has their place, but. . . Yeah. I think I’ve become more accustomed to relationships.”
FAMILY
► Do you and your family get along ➔ “The keg? Y-Yeah. My birth parents? No. Last th-thing I did to them was left them a note saying ‘fuck you, from Mr. Seratoph’ and smashing a window. Then with Harph. . . Well, last time I saw him before that m-mission, I cut off his hand. I have. . . Complicated relationships.”
► Would you say you have a “messed up life” ➔ “I mean, people have it worse, and it’s getting better. If my life only w-went until I was about thirty? Probably yeah, then. But I have thousands upon th-thousands of years ahead of me. The rest could treat me l-like royalty for all I know.”
► Have you ever ran away from home ➔ “. . . No. Never did. Why would I ever run away from-- By Elune yes I ran from home!”
► Have you ever gotten kicked out ➔ “I mean, unless if being kicked out after you ran away counts, th-then no. Also, I-I think I should use ‘fuck you, from Mr. Seratoph’ more often. Th-That was the coolest thing a twelve year old could have ever said.”
FRIENDS
► Do you secretly hate one of your friends ➔ “N-No. I’d bring it up to them before it g-got to that level. And if I did hate them, th-they’d know.”
► Do you consider all of your friends good friends ➔ “Y-Yeah! I really feel better when I’m around them, even if I was feeling good before.”
► Who is your best friend ➔ “Hmmmm. . . I-I mean, the other day, I was on a sugar high, and i-it was almost against my will about how much I thought Jax was a great friend. Pryn hired me as a bodyguard when I was low on jobs a-and just first getting into Stormwind. Ash and Jiira reluctantly took me in despite their better judgement, a-and basically helped kick off my new, better life. A-And they’re helping me now. Cel has b-been a great friend overall and I think sh-she’s really comforting to talk to and hang around.” He sighs, and rubs his face in frustration while trying to think. “G-Get back to me on that, one of these centuries.”
► Who knows everything about you ➔ “Cel, surprisingly. Sh-She’s really easy to vent to whenever sh-she’s willing to take it. Jax and Ash are also big players for th-that field. Kae as well, especially since she’s helped me get testosterone. Pryn was the one who recommended I talk to her about th-that.”
I got tagged by @actionjaxkol who held me at gunpoint while asking me these questions and forced me to answer them in character.
I tag @engineermermaid, and @riizendraconis if they’d like to answer! (I’d tag more but Jax got’em. RIP)

Sharing is caring! There are crucial things that go behind the making of a gorgeous website. One of these is color. Selecting the best fonts and best colors for websites is always a challenging task. Where fonts increase the readability, colors are the most crucial aspect of a design. Selecting the right color scheme is something that every artist and designer puts a great deal of thought into. The color scheme of your design is capable of making or breaking the project. Importance of Color Scheme for Your Website? Color serves as the most potent psychological tool for gaining the audience’s attention. It can be used as a call-to-action for the website. Color helps in processing and storing images more efficacious than black and white images. The contrast creates a mental appeal when coherent with your business theme. This helps with brand recognition and prompts the visitors to your site to take action. A right color combination can make the website more memorable and also provokes emotional stimulation. When a website is colorful, it makes the experience enjoyable and pleasant for the visitor. Wrong color schemes can make UX irritating. A pleasant experience, in turn, leads to higher conversion rates. Apart from a well-designed user-interface, the right contrasted color scheme will help a visitor to navigate through the site content quickly and easily. Good color combinations can also prove to be useful when it comes to developing content hierarchy or focusing on call-to-action or critical information. Here are 20 Best Colors for Websites #1 Soft Tones Soft tones are in trend, and as the name suggests, the colors are classy and quiet. It is the ideal choice if your brand belongs to the fashion or jewelry industry. This simple tone is capable of working wonders. The tones work with each other and make the jewelry or fashion content on the page stand out. However, the layout is as important as the color scheme. Usually, these kinds of websites have minimal text. Instead of cramming several products on a single page, the site takes on the approach of only one at a time. An excellent example of such a website isCreations Namale. Colors Codes: #c5d5cb, #9fa8a3, #e3e0cf #2 Balanced and Colorful Cool and warm hues are one of the best color combinations. The combination has a soothing effect on the visitor. From an earthy terracotta to bluish-green, this color scheme is quite attractive. It is suitable for modern and youthful designs. It can serve as a sound color palette for health websites. Also, minimal text is recommended for such sites to avoid giving it a cluttered look. Active Theory is a site that has made use of such color tones. Color Codes: #E27D60, #85DCB, #E8A87C, #C38DE, # 41B3A3 #3 Gradient Greens and Blues Using a gradient scale, take the simple colors of blue color and then blend it with various tones. The mixture of light, and yet classy color makes this color scheme great for professional messages and appeal, especially for websites related to accessory design. In fact, a visitor tends to check such color schemes out from the top of the web-page down to the bottom. Again. an excellent example of such a website is Creationsnamale’s refined color scheme. The design of the website is very appealing due to its deep colors, yet not too vibrant. Color Codes: #acb7ae, #acb7ae #acb7ae, #c2b490 #5 Sleek and Modern Pink and Black If you want to create a website with a modern and sleek design, you can go for jet black and bright. However, if you take a look at Cowboy, you will notice that there isn’t anything feminine about it. It can appeal to both genders. You will notice that the red and the orange tone has a throwback vibe to it. The warm colors which give people the nostalgia of their adolescent years and childhood. The polka dot color of Spotify seems to be inspired by the 90s. However, the design is trendy and uses a gradient scale that is very modern for blending colors. Keep in mind that it is necessary to ensure that you have a fair idea of whom you are targeting using these colors. Color Codes: #10EE67, #FECB00, # F5B842 #8 Gorgeous Contrast Sometimes, a website might not look that attractive with the normal color schemes. The business or theme that it drives may need something sharper. This is where contrast colors can make the website exponentially appealing. The color combination consists of two opposite colors like dark and light, giving the perfect combination of dark background with light and vibrant text or vice versa. This makes the text and the website pop out due to colors, which makes it more noticeable. For instance,ReputationSquad uses a simple color palette and design scheme. Color Codes: #61892F, 86C232, 222629, 474B4F, 6B6E70 #9 Elegant Skin Tones with Elegant Colors This is a unique blend of color. It can be said that the business model of QED is unique. Along these lines, they have used some of the modern color tones on the website. If you take a look at the home page, you will notice that the color scheme is a little busier than the ones which have been mentioned previously. However, they have put up pretty well with this design. Generally, people feel that green, yellow, and purple tones might be hard on your eyes. However, by using grey and lighter tones in the background, they can add bright contrasting colors. Color Codes: #dddfd4, #fae596, #3fb0ac, #173e43 #11 Dark Horse A combination of dark and earthy tones like grey, slate, and silver, popping out with brighter tones of yellow gives a great visual appeal to the website. This is because red is the most potent but challenging color to use when it comes to a website. Psychologically, it is the most appealing color. That is why you will always see it associated with big-ticket brands like KFC or McDonalds. One of the most useful applications of this color is to use it against a pop of colors. Another good way is to pair it up with some muted colors such as grey and sand brown. Five/Four has made use of these tones. As a matter of fact, a significant portion of the website uses red, and it is successful because they have used muted tones for the remaining parts of the website. In case, they would have paired red with light blue, bright orange. It might have been too much for the visitors to take. Softer colors go perfectly with red. However, if you are using these tones, you should avoid going overboard with the color. Use it wisely. Color Codes: #5A7670, #B89F5D, #FA292A #15 Futuristic Primaries and Pastels When it comes to selecting a color scheme for websites, it is better to follow the footsteps of those who have enough experience. There is no need for reinventing the wheel. One such example isAnton & Irene. This is a professional designing company based in New York. They specialize in digital products and design. The website has a very trendy and modern color palette. One good thing about it is the futuristic feel which comes right out. You will notice that the site uses more colors than the websites which have been discussed previously. In case you want an artistic touch for your website, you need to use different combinations of light blue, purple, grey, orange, and yellow. Color Code: #bccbde, #c2dde6, #431c5d, #e6e9f0, #cdd422 #16 Dynamic and Texturized Dark Tones Charcoal, dark sienna, and a burst of pale red will give your website a color scheme that is a much have for futuristically and elegantly designed websites. The color combination is quite versatile and can be used for various projects with ranges from editorial content to modern-looking corporate reports. One good example of the use of this color palette isHAUS. Color Codes: #2F4454, #DA7B93, #2E151B, #376E6F, 1C3334 #17 Black on Black You will notice that black is a standard color across many websites. However, it is used sparingly. It is generally used for text and numbers as the background or the primary color. However, this does not mean that you will not be able to use black more abundantly for the color scheme of your website, particularly when you are using different tones of black. If you want to check out how it looks, the homepage ofJY BH can be a good example. When you combine various shades of black, you will have a gradient effect, which you will also notice in some of the early examples on our list. The gradient black color palette offers the site a mysterious look. JY BH sells luxury accessories and garments for women, as well as men. This color scheme has been popular for several years and continues to be a common choice. Color Codes: #151516, #090A0A, #151617 #18 Energetic and Clean Blue Tones If you check out theAvoconseil website, you will notice that the shades of violet and blue is particularly pleasing to the eye. It can evoke peace and energy at the same time. Sky blue and blueberry have been combined with amethyst. They trigger psychological attraction and decrease the bounce rate instantly. This gives the site a refreshing and attractive look. It is suitable for all designs that are aiming to create positive emotions. Color Codes: 56809, #84CEEB, #8860Do, #C1C8E4, #5AB9EA #19 Fun and Youthful Tones of Yellow and Mauve The colorful and playful scheme of yellow, mauve and blue can give a vibrant and youthful look to a website. It can be an excellent choice for shopping websites that are looking to be trendy and attract a younger audience. A good example is the website of famous musicianPharrell Williams. You will notice that it has a white background, which makes the vibrant hues like tangerine, bright turquoise, dark orchid, and yellow stick out. It projects a happy and youth-filled emotion full of stories and experiences. Color Codes: #A64AC9, #FFB48F, #FCCD04, #17E9E0, F5E6CC #20 Flat Design Color In case you are not aware of the phrase term flat design. You might have seen such websites before with no gradients, drops, or slope. These kinds of sites do not have a three-dimensional element. Take a look at the flat-designed website ofRender. Flat design colors are generally quite super saturated and bright or super dark. Render provides video production and editing services, and its website provides a direct and sharp feel of professionalism. They provide an immediate seriousness to your business persona. The user notices feelings of diligence as your website portrays a standard industrial tone. Color Codes: #00887A, #FFFFF, #D3E3FC, #FFCCBC, #777A6F7 With so many options, it is time for you to ditch the old and dull color you have been using. It is necessary to use modern color schemes, which can affect website sales today. Selecting the right color palette for the website shouldn’t be difficult. If you have to update the website colors to make it look modern, trendy, and unique, you can make use of any colors which we have mentioned above. As a matter of fact, you can use some of the exact color codes which have been provided. However, when you are selecting the color, you need to take the demographics of the website into account. Also, consider the emotions and personality of the target audience and the number of colors you would like to use. /*Archive Template Only*/ #wp-coupons-outer-wrapper { padding-left: 20px; padding-right: 20px; } #wp-coupons-wrapper { max-width: 1200px; } /*Navigation*/ body .wp-coupons-nav a, body .wp-coupons-nav a:visited { font-size: ; color: #0c0402; } body .wp-coupons-nav a:hover, body .wp-coupons-nav a.wp-coupons-nav-selected { color: #0872aa; } body .wp-coupons-subnav a, body .wp-coupons-subnav a:visited { font-size: ; color: #0c0402; border-color: #0c0402; } body .wp-coupons-subnav a.active, body .wp-coupons-subnav a:hover { color: #0872aa; border-color: #0872aa; } /*Coupon Panel*/ .wp-coupons-coupon-panel { background: #e5e5e5; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .wp-coupons-discount-percent { background: #1b3e5a; color: #ffffff; font-size: ; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .wp-coupons-expiration { color: ; font-size: ; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .wp-coupons-discount-code { background: #f9cc29; color: #0c0c0c; font-size: ; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .wp-coupons-discount-code span { color: #0c0c0c; border-color: #0c0c0c; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .wp-coupons-ctr:before { border-color: #f9cc29 transparent; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .wp-coupons-ctr:after { border-color: #f9cc29; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-separator { border-color: #d0d2d7; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-title { font-size: ; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-title, .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-title:visited, .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-link, .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-link:visited, .wp-coupons-banner .coupon-title { color: #0c0402; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-title:hover, .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-link:hover { color: #0872aa; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-description { font-size: 22px; line-height: ; min-height: ; max-height: ; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-type, .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-type:hover, .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-type:visited { color: #000000; font-size: ; } .wp-coupons-coupon-panel a.coupon-link { font-size: ; } /*Pagination*/ body .wp-coupons-navigation .page-numbers, body .wp-coupons-navigation .page-numbers:visited { background-color: #0c0402; } body .wp-coupons-navigation .page-numbers.current, body .wp-coupons-navigation .page-numbers:hover { background-color: #0872aa; } /*Click to Reveal Popup*/ #wp-coupons-ctr-popup #wp-coupons-ctr-discount-code span { background: #f9cc29; color: #0c0c0c; } #wp-coupons-ctr-popup #wp-coupons-ctr-discount-url a { color: #0c0402; } #wp-coupons-ctr-popup #wp-coupons-ctr-discount-url a:hover { color: #0872aa; } /*Buttons*/ body a.wp-coupons-button { background: #0c0402; border-color: #0c0402; font-size: ; } body a.wp-coupons-button:hover { color: #0872aa; border-color: #0872aa; } @media(min-width: 794px) { .wp-coupons-coupon.list.compact .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-link, .wp-coupons-coupon.list.minimal .wp-coupons-coupon-panel .coupon-link { font-size: 22px; line-height: ; } } source http://wtf.telenor.com.np/2019/12/27/20-best-colors-for-websites-color-schemes-css-hex-codes/

10 reasons why West Philadelphia is the coolest neighborhood
Most people know about West Philadelphia from the show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. The famous theme song intro put West Philly on the map and since 1990, the neighborhood has been enshrouded in a Will Smith mystique. But there’s more to West Philadelphia than just that one verse.
Philadelphia is known for being a city comprised of diverse neighborhoods that were once independent towns. Over a few centuries, these towns were engulfed as the city expanded.
Once you cross the Schuylkill River along Center City’s western banks, West Philadelphia is a city on its own filled with Victorian mansions, an intricate network of trollies, an artist scene, and vibrant immigrant communities unlike any other section of Philadelphia.
If you come to Philadelphia and don’t go to West Philly, here’s only the tip of the iceberg of what you’d be missing.
1. Victorian architecture along Baltimore Avenue

Residential development in West Philadelphia began around 1850, after bridges and streetcars allowed the city to expand over the Schuylkill River. Since much of West Philadelphia was rural, and because the city had a growing population of middle and upper-class residents, there was a high demand for real estate – specifically elaborately designed homes.
When they were built, these ornate Victorian homes were among the most expensive homes in America. Over 150 years later, many of the mansions around West Philadelphia’s Baltimore Avenue remain, and many have been repainted in vibrant colors which capture the quirky persona of the neighborhood today.
2. University City

West Philadelphia is also home to University City, an area where the campuses of Drexel and the University of Pennsylvania collide. With two of the nation’s largest educational institutions, University City is a leader in medical research, technological innovation and cultural exploration.
Visitors can spend time at the Penn Museum, one of the world’s best archaeological museums which houses rare artifacts from Egypt, Asia, Mesopotamia and the Americas. For a more modern experience, visitors can explore the Institute of Contemporary Art with galleries that display the most provocative art of the day. In West Philadelphia, you don’t have to be a student to learn something new.
3. Clark Park

Just past University City along Baltimore Avenue is Clark Park, a popular meeting and events space for residents and visitors. On weekends, it’s common to find farmers markets, groups practicing circus acts like hula-hooping and fire twirling, and people playing Pétanque, a French game similar to bocce ball.
During the summer in “the Bowl,” a natural outdoor amphitheater, you can catch a free Shakespeare play put on every year since 2005 by local theatre company, Shakespeare in Clark Park.
4. Jezabel’s Studio

Jezabel’s Studio is a space that’s as creative as its owner, Jezabel Careaga. Her West Philly studio is not just a tea house that serves Argentine delights, but also a classroom where visitors can learn how to make Argentine staples.
Visitors can be taught to make anything from tortilla de patatas and empanadas to torta de ricotta and alfajores. And it’s all set in a space that was renovated and designed by Jezabel herself. She even learned woodworking so she could make furniture for the studio!
5. International cuisine

If you’re a foodie on the hunt to experience a wide array of international cuisines, then you will love West Philadelphia. You’ll find not just foods that represent countries, but dishes that express the nuances of specific regions, prepared by individuals that hail from those communities.
If you’re searching for an African restaurant, Kilimandjaro serves Senegalese-style stews with a touch of French flavor. At Dahlak, Ethiopian cuisine is paired with open mic nights and karaoke. If you’re in the mood for Middle Eastern, you can start with a kufta sandwich at Makkah Market and treat yourself to Lebanese flatbreads and baklava at Manakeesh.
Break away from the usual Pad Thai takeout by sampling Laotian specialties like laab and pun paa at Vientiane Café. For the adventurous eaters, if you plan your trip accordingly, Vientiane Café also hosts an “Adventurous Eats” series where you might get a chance to sample steamed fertilized duck eggs, river snails or a silkworm omelet. You don’t have to buy a plane ticket to taste the cuisine of far away places.
6. Fairmount Park
Set amongst the forest, the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden gives visitors a serene getaway. — Photo courtesy of Shofuso Japanese House and Garden
West Philadelphia has a lot of green space. It boasts Philadelphia’s largest park, which happens to be one of the largest urban parks in the country: Fairmount Park. There’s over 2,000 acres of fields, forests, hiking trails, lakes, creeks and riverside views.
Fairmount Park is also home to the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden, which has a koi pond, tea house, and a tiered waterfall. In addition, you’ll find the Fairmount Park Horticultural Center and the historic Boathouse Row, as well as many other centers dedicated to environmental and cultural conservation.
7. Philadelphia Zoo

The Philadelphia Zoo may be America’s first zoo, but it is far from old and outdated. It’s home to around 1,300 animals, many that are rare and endangered, who live in a 42-acre Victorian-style garden. Above the zoo is the Treetop Trail, an elevated mesh-net trail for monkeys and lemurs that connects several habitats.
Big Cat Crossing is another overhead passageway that allows the Zoo’s big cats – lions, tigers, pumas, jaguars and other large felines – to navigate to other areas of the park. Both features are part of the Philadelphia Zoo’s revolutionary Zoo360 program which gives these animals more space to roam than many other zoos.
8. Bartram’s Garden

Home to an early American botanist, John Bartram, Bartram’s Garden is the oldest surviving botanical garden in North America. Bartram dedicated most of his life to exploring North America and collecting and cataloguing new species of plants he found.
Many of the plants he encountered were brought back to his farm where people still visit to learn about different plant species and to enjoy the serenity of the garden.
9. The Mann Center
Music lovers immerse themselves in the outdoor concert experience at The Mann Center — Photo courtesy of The Mann Center
Located within Fairmount Park is the Mann Center, an outdoor amphitheater that has served as the summertime home of the Philadelphia Orchestra since the 1930s. The venue seats over 4,500 people, but has the capacity to hold nearly 13,000 if you count the lawn seating.
Every summer, the Mann Center hosts a variety of outdoor concerts ranging from symphony orchestras to indie rock bands.
10. The bar scene
Try beers from around the world at Local 44’s bottle bar — Photo courtesy of Kae Lani
Every great day of exploring deserves a fresh cold beer. Luckily, there is no shortage of excellent bars in West Philadelphia. Just off the University of Pennsylvania’s campus is Local 44, a neighborhood gastropub that not only has excellent local beers on tap, but also has a bottle bar next door with a wide variety of beers and ciders from around the world.
Further down Baltimore Avenue you’ll find Dock Street Brewery, Philadelphia’s first microbrewery that pairs their fresh brews with wood-fired pizzas. But if you’re in the mood for a cocktail bar that is as eccentric as West Philly itself, head to Fiume. It’s a hidden speakeasy located above Abyssinia, an Ethiopian restaurant that will bring your “wat” and “tibs” up to you while you enjoy one of Philadelphia’s best Manhattans.

Waffle how was your birthday trip? Did you get any birthday tea from Matron?
I did get tea with the Matron! My birthday show was weird but not in a bad way. Kae flew home before I woke up that morning to check on our toddler and I am an extreme introvert so I probably would have just stayed in my hotel room all day reviewing party pics and videos and maybe wallowing. Luckily, I have the best of friends who invited me out so I spent the afternoon at The Met (which I haven’t been to in ages) before we all hit up Ovest for dinner pre-show. They are the best! Instead of wallowing alone in my hotel room, I was able to wallow a bit in my thoughts at a museum with friends. It was certainly preferable!
When we got to the show, there was a happy hour in the Manderley (due to it being that magical week where they have to set up the lodge for the winter) so we didn’t have to wait in line which is always nice. Birdie got me a birthday cookie because the staff there are simply THE BEST!
The show was a bit weird but honestly, I have spent a few birthdays there and it tends to be. It’s me, not the show. I tend to spend a lot of time thinking about loss and causation and regret. The hotel gives me the room to do that and the fabulous mask to hide the fact that I may be doing that. I think because I had such I nice day with friends, I decided to give myself a loop right off the bat with one of my favorite characters, Sexy Witch. I was in a good mindset and I afforded myself a loop of a guilty pleasure. Kae often likes to make fun of me when I follow Sexy out of the ballroom because it happens often and it used to happen even more often! I just really enjoy the loop. Her loop is one of the most fun in the building. The character, by design, is set up to be a fun and flirty character. Besides her post-rave break, there are really no moments of sadness or pain. It is unlike most of the other residents in that way. Even in the moments where she is inflicting harm on Porter or Lady Macduff, she is having a good time herself. I also think she has some of the BEST dances overall in a loop. Her couch duet with Banquo is one of my absolute favorites. Even if I don’t intend to follow Sexy witch for a full loop, I will almost always watch that dance. It’s beautiful and usually not super crowded 1st loop. Her duet with Fulton is amazing. Her duet with Speakeasy is amazing. Her bartop solo is amazing. Then you also get to see a lot of the major scenes, witches 1, ballroom, banquet, and the rave.
The fact that Kelly Todd was in the role was a no-brainer on how to start my night. I am so glad Kelly is back in the hotel. I have so much respect and admiration for her dancing and acting. She was clearly having a GREAT time that night. Audibly laughing her way up the back staircase and at points during the Banquo duet. During witches 1 when they are all by the hotel desk, Sexy leans back and extends her arms across the desk. I was standing behind another girl near the lights and guestbook. As she leaned back she smiled at the girl and whispered “Hi” before returning to the choreography. It was one of those small moments that was amazing to watch. I doubt many people even caught it. Ugh! Have I said how pleased I am that we all get to watch Kelly’s amazing performances again! After she wrapped her Speakeasy duet, she was off to high street before she stopped abruptly outside Malcolm’s office and took my hand. The phone rang and I was given a stern warning. After I hung up, she looked in my eyes for several seconds before taking my face in her hands and giving me a soft kiss on my mask. Then she was gone.
I am glad I afforded myself a loop of fun and flirtiness before I decided to head up to five because that is where I spent much of the remainder of my show. I did a bit of wandering and set admiring and wallowing. I watched the Matron for about an hour because I arrived toward the end of the chalking scene. I watched Stephanie Jean Lane do a lot of reading and writing. I think I saw her give 5 1:1′s. I watched the mirror dance which is about the point that my emotional stability started to crumble. I spent a lot of time outside the hut with my thoughts and feelings.
By the last time she opened the window before the next chalking scene, I had been there about 50 minutes or so which I didn’t know because it is impossible to keep track of time in the forest. She looked out into the forest and then looked down at me. She stared at me for several moments then reached her hand out the window to me. I took her hand as she continued to stare then she squeezed my hand and gave me a small, sad smile. This is not an interaction I had ever seen a Matron do so when she let go of my hand and started to fuss with her furniture I realized that I had been there a full loop and it was likely chalking time again. It then dawned on me that this was probably the international Sleep No More sign for “I see you, Iknow you are there, don’t go anywhere”. Sure enough, she locked up her hut and was off into the woods. It was a very slow walk. I think it always is but it seemed slower somehow. By the time we got to the chalkboard, there were silent tears running down my face. We had reached the emotional point of no return.
The 5th floor has always been a place that has attracted me. I don’t remember much of my first show. They tend to be a blur for most people. One thing I do remember is doing a lot of set exploration. It’s hard not to get drawn into the elaborate sets the designers have built. I ended up on the 5th floor, probably around the area with the laundry and I got really scared and nervous. The setting was too real and immersive and I remember getting a bit panicked and really wanting to leave the floor. It seems now so easy to navigate. The doors are on either end but I imagine I went from that middle area across to the room with the tubs. I saw the forest and (luckily) didn’t know how to get in. I went through the area with the beds. I didn’t realize there was a staircase around the corner and I think I eventually found my way back to the long hallway that leads to the stairs. I think it took me two shows after that to set foot on the floor again.
As I reflected back later on why that floor gave me such strong emotions, I connected it to a fear of hospitals and especially psychiatric wards. My last memory (which I am 90% sure is a real memory) of my aunt was going to visit her when she was committed to a psychiatric ward in the 1980′s. We went as a family. it was a nice day. We had a nice lunch with her. I was happy to see her. I was 5 and she lived with my family for a while when I was a kid. I remember the waiting area when we got there though and that was, in my kid memory, a very sterile, cold place. That was the summer or fall before my 6th birthday and the last time I ever saw my aunt. I later learned that she suffered from Schizophrenia and on my 6th birthday, while committed to a psychiatric ward, she hung herself. I don’t think it was a coincidence. I also don’t think it was my fault but it took me a long time to get there. When you are six, you can’t understand mental illness or the way it may impact someone’s perception of reality but it still affects me to this day.
Walking through those woods I felt that loss. I knew what was coming. The phrase “Who will hang them why the honest men” is ” is often assumed to be a question followed by a question. Who will hang them? Why the honest men? If you look at Macbeth, the quote comes from the text. It is a scene between Lady Macduff and her son. The son asks if his father was a traitor and Lady Macduff answers that he was and traitors must be hung. The son asks her, “Who must hang them?” and she replies, “Why the honest men.” The son then replies that if most men are liars and therefore traitors, they are also fools because they clearly outnumber the honest men so they would be fools to let themselves be hung. I’m not sure what exactly it is that resonates with me about those lines in relation to the story. Perhaps it’s the reality that we are all flawed, traitors at times. Perhaps it’s the fact of the matter that a child is quizzing his mother about his father’s flaws. Perhaps it’s the subject of death and hanging in general. Probably it’s a combination of them all with the additional layer of the Matron being an isolated (often sad) character that I relate to.
Needless to say, I am watching that scene with countless other audience members standing within arm’s length silently crying an overprocessing. We get back to the hut and the scene unfolds leaving a despondent looking Matron standing in the doorway looking out. She reached around another audience member to pull me in for tea time. God bless Stephanie Jean Lane. I often wonder what performers are thinking when people do odd things in the show and I have spent enough time creeping through the hole in the Matron’s hut to know, definitively, that crying during the 1:1 is not normal. God bless her for not flinching when I was on the verge of ugly crying. I am not a cryer. I don’t really cry in public for sure. I never cry in front of strangers. I have had a few moments in Sleep No More where I have been moved to a tear or two. I had one weird moment where Kae though it was Virginia’s Matron crying during the finale when I got her walk-out but it was me sobbing over how much I was going to miss the show going into our parenting stage of life. Then there is my birthday where I generally cry a bit but by myself in the set. NOT IN A 1:1. She was lovely. If I freaked her out, she didn’t show it.
I finished my ugly cry in the woods before returning to the bar to get a drink and regroup for a moment. It was the 3rd loop so I decided to go back in for the final 25 minutes. I briefly considered finishing the show with Lady Macduff then decided I really didn’t need to do that to myself so I decided to head back to the place I resonated with. If I want a walk-out, I usually want it to be with a character/actor that I spent a substantial amount of time with. It always makes it mean a bit more when you can really thank a performer for their performance. This show, that was obviously Matron. I was hoping I didn’t totally come off as a psychopath and that Stephanie would pick me for the walk-out. Could go either way! I knew I had to hustle to make it to the upper floors seeing as how they close first so I hurried to the concrete stairs. Already closed off. So I hustled back through the Manderley, through the lobby, and up the stairs to 3. Success! I cut across the floor and almost ran straight into the Nurse and Matron who were just entering the 3rd floor. I watched them solemnly tidy up the Macbeth’s quarters and then Matron came over and took my hand. We got to the mezzanine and it was so crowded that after about 3 attempts, Stephanie just ended up positioning me behind another girl who was short. It was the ending to the night I needed.
Hope that answered your question and thanks for the question that basically forced me to write a recap! Hahaha!!!
