Currently thinking about Laios and Kabru, more specifically thinking about being with them both and how chaotic yet loving the relationship would be 😭
Like imagining just going through a day with them normally in both canon and even in modern aus. The dynamic with both men are just. Ugh I could go on and on dkdjsj
It's honestly also normal for my ocs and their relationships to be poly with one another, so it's Kabru x Laios x Anya x Emory and it's just. How things are, and things are just normal. Both having their own respective relationship but coming together when they all find fit, it's so sweet 😭 I love thinking about the four of them while also imagining x reader things, it's all just so fun and I love them and they would both be SO loyal and just the best ughhh

Dunmesh OC: Emory
Tumblr media
Hello! I have a second main dungeon meshi oc so I thought I might as well post them similarly to Anya! Their name is Emory! Without further ado I’ll get straight into things!
CW: Mainly some toxic parenting things, due to a very complicated relationship with their father.
Basic things
Emory is nonbinary and accepts all pronouns! They don’t mind being called/referred to as a certain gender or as gender neutral!
Emory is a tall-man with darker tanned skin with darker brown curly hair and chocolate brown eyes to match.
They have two birthmarks on her face, one under each eye, one also on their neck, as well as misc ones scattered over his body.
They have scars scattered around their body as well, one being on the side above their jaw, a larger one over their shoulder going down his back a bit, etc. Even one on the side of their left hand that they fidget slightly with when nervous.
They are Demisexual!
They are a part of Kabru’s party! They are a ranger mainly, skilled in bows, crossbows, and the likes but also skilled with blades and other weapons given how they were raised. A jack of all trades in combat.
They were born on the island. Raised there, so they know their way around the areas due to past jobs and such, as well as a little bit of the dungeon but only the top level.
They met Kabru and Rin shortly after they came to the island for the first time, having grown up there so they offered to simply help show them around, before Kabru offered him a job to join their party.
Given how they’ve grown up, which I will delve into with their backstory, everyone tends to believe that Emory is a cis man, even if slightly feminine qualities to their body shape. They bind, not so safely, but it helps at least (don’t do what they do!!)
Immediatelythey found themselves feeling attracted to Kabru but they simply tried to keep their feelings to themselves.
They have a bit of walls around themselves to protect themselves, but Kabru is the one that ends up breaking them down the more they spend time together in the party and forward.
Backstory
They were abandoned as a baby, so they never knew their birth parents whatsoever.
They were simply left in a town in an alley, shielded a little from the elements while being in the shade, under the hanging roof of a building near where the garbage was.She was laid in a hand woven basket and a soft blanket around her as they softly fussed.
She was found by a blacksmith.
His name is Kirk, his father was a dwarf and mother was a tall-man. He was a bit taller than an average dwarf, but very much so built like one with his auburn hair and beard, slightly tanned skin, etcetera. He looked very masculine, and grew up in a very masculine environment with only his father.
His place of work was close to where Emory was, so he was the first person who passed by and stopped realizing what the noise he heard was. Others did pass by during the day, but they simply minded their own business if they did hear anything.
He was very conflicted at first when finding the baby, but ultimately he was upset that someone left a baby there of all places! How long was she out here?? Where have their parents gone?? He had no clue. He also wasn’t sure what to do next, was he supposed to go find someone who could figure this out? But who?
It was when he looked back at the basket that he saw a piece of parchment rolled up.
As he read the letter, it was simply a letter begging for whoever reads this to take in their baby girl, to give her a better life than they could ever give. It wasn’t signed by a name, but rather simply with “With love, the woman who wasn’t strong enough to be a mother.’
It was starting to lightly rain as he ran a hand through his hair. Contemplating more about what was happening, but as he processed things in his head, the baby would start to fuss.
It was only when the little girl started fussing that he felt himself tense up and freeze, being pulled from his thoughts as he looked around slightly before exhaling strongly and reaching down to lift the little baby up into his arms.
He had no children nor would be biologically be allowed to have any of his own, having only been around others who had children of their own, etc. Yet as he looked at the baby girl as she cried in his big arms, how tiny she was.. It was nothing like he’s ever experienced before. He cooed and started to rock her in his arms, trying to comfort the little one the best he could until her fussing quieted into whimpers.
He knew he couldn’t leave her. He also felt strongly that bringing this baby somewhere else to pawn off.. He wasn’t sure if she’d be given a good life or simply be brought to an orphanage to spend her life, so he decided that he would her in as his own, that he could provide for her and teach her what she needed to.
He was seen as a bit rough on the exterior but truthfully, there was that part of him that wanted a family, to have a child. Specifically, he had wanted a son of his own after being raised by his father alone, having lost his mother when he was fairly young. Sure it was a baby girl, but that shouldn’t change too many things.
Besides, in his mind, he knew how hard it was for his mother and how tough it can be for other women as well.. Perhaps it would be for the best if he raised this baby as if she were a boy, so they could get the benefits they needed to be a man, and given the proper respect they deserved.
He thought of all that when he brought the baby in the basket home and early on in them living with him. He named the baby Emory, and from there he would raise her in a very masculine setting.
Emory would grow up knowing he was a girl biologically of course, but was treated by a boy all their life and that was just the norm of how things were.
They love their father, and they knew he loved him as well. But that didn’t mean that their relationship wasn’t complicated.
They wondered often why they were raised the way they were, and whenever they asked or brought up topics involving seeing other girls growing up differently. Why were they different? It only ended in arguments, with their father usually repeating the same rhetoric that he was ‘doing this for them’ and that he knew best, that Emory would grow up much stronger this way. He was always so firm and unmoving from his statements, not leaving any room for anything else. It’s just how things were.
They grew up being raised around his forge, learning all they could not only about how he made the weapons, but how to use them properly.
So they grew up very skilled in many things! They especially excelled in using bows, but they did enjoy using daggers as well as swords or even blunt objects if necessary.  Thank you for reading this much! I hope you like them as much as i love them haha! Have a great day/night where ever ya are!
