because the land surrounding the kingdom is completely surrounded by monsters, their parents got even more worried about how their children are doing. and i can see the kingdom dispatches its soldiers to ensure visitors get to arrive safely, especially because they need to secure trade routes to keep the kingdom running

what im saying is, kabru being one of the patrolmen who ends up saving the toudens. he sees laios' father and thinks hUH he looks familiar where have i seen this guy? but then the village chief respectfully thanks him and kabru immediately thinks nah i think i would have remembered someone reasonable like him

kabru helps them reach the kingdom and then the village chief shares his story that he is here with his wife to visit his children, one of them works at the stable. "possibly."

"possibly," kabru repeats, keeping his voice as neutral as possible

the village chief looks stricken "our daughter... tend to forget to tell us important details. and our son... well, our son is..."

kabru puts a comforting hand on the man's shoulder "it's alright, you don't have to tell me" he literally doesn't want to get involved. "tell you what? since it's time for the festival, your son probably has a day off. i hope you two will be able to find your kids!"

as kabru walks away, the mother whispers to her husband how she wishes falin will be able to get a nice young man like that as her husband. kabru shudders before reminding himself 'falin' isn't exactly a rare name among tallman women. still, the imagery makes his stomach pain acts up in stress.

desperately wants to know if laios and falin's parents are ever going to find out that their weird as fuck irresponsible son is a king now

i can see the autistic power siblings just forget to tell them even if falin sends them letters because there are more important things to mention like laios getting food poisoning again
