I had just finished the Guidance Counselor’s office and I was in the zone. I had to do another one. I wanted to go above and beyond, and boy did I. I made the Drama Club out of one of the School classrooms in Happy Home Designer.

Unfortunately, the game doesn’t have gloves so I had to improvise with....a pair of socks. I also added a few items that I think would help to make the club a bit more realistic, like a costume shelf, tissues, and a makeup kit with a mirror.

But then I got greedy and decided that I wanted to make more...

Yinu playing Animal Crossing!

She starts sometime after the rock revolution, taking a hiatus from professional piano playing so she can be a kid for a little while longer.

Her house definitely has at least one piano inside.

She has Alice and Puddles among her villagers. (No word on who counts as General Stragovich yet.)

Once she learns how to make golden roses, she places them throughout her town.

If any of the adults are curious about the game and want to try it, she's happy to help.

She's already gotten Uncle J and/or at least one member of 1010 into the game.

Sometimes she and Mama play together when they're not too busy. Mama tells Yinu fun facts about the different flowers in the game.

She has a lot of fun catching bugs, even if the tarantulas, scorpions, and wasps are scary.

Sometimes she sends the other megastars (as well as Bunk Bed Junction) different K.K. Slider songs she thinks they'd like.

Her favorites are K.K. Sonata and K.K. Etude.

Still trying to figure out which of these phone apps I want to use. The daily checklist on ACNH.Guide is more in tune with my paper checklist since it includes a checkbox for each villager, money tree, find the bottle, 4 fossils, 6 rocks, check turnip prices am/pm (never have to care about THAT anymore ahahahahhahaha), but no water the flowers or hit the shops, but that app is kind of clunky.

It’s also missing K.K. Etude entirely, so know knows what else. Looks nice, though.

Then ACNH Life is missing a lot of graphics (not a huge deal, just kind of annoying), and the DIY checklist is kind of a pain. I think that part of the app might not be done?

And so far that app is missing Light Switch and Zen-Style Stone DIY pattern.

The checklist is sparse, having only find the bottle, water flowers, money tree, and 3 fossils.

It’s also buggy and likes to jerk around maniacally if you scroll down too hard...

I think I’ll probably like ACNH.Guide better, but that does mean copying my entire catalog into that one, too, and that’s pretty bleh when I’ve already got so many items...

So far I’ve only put all of my catalog into ACNH Life and wasn’t going to bother doing it again for ACNH Guide, but I might after all because then how do I really know which app I like better?

AFAIK, there’s no easy to check list of fossils I’ve already gotten, is there? I might wait until I have 100% and then fill all of them in all at once...

Aaand shopping at Able Sisters takes WAY longer now, since I’m buying only one item at a time so I can check it off in the app. That’s kind of annoying, but worth it if it means I don’t buy duplicate items.

I was all set to harvest fruits today and realized I really don’t need to, anymore. I don’t need to hoard bugs for Flick, either. I have 10M bells thanks to a turnips exploit I tested yesterday.

All you need are two patient people:  One TTd to Sunday morning, one at a point with a good turnip price, both open with Dodo Codes.

Go to Sunday Morning Island to buy turnips, go to Good Price Island to sell turnips, go home to put your money down.

Repeat.

A lot.

I went from having only the first turnip profit achievement to having all of them in a matter of a couple hours, and so did the Good Price Island host, AND That Guy.

As lucrative as it is painfully tedious.

If I ever have a good Turnip price, I’m up for being Good Price Island host if anyone wants to do that. But I’m not a big fan of time travel and would rather not have to do THAT again.

Even though I haven’t played City in YEARS and I barely remember anything. This song is so charming :) (also the live version is different from the aircheck version! one sounds like the day version and the other sounds like the night version)

K.K. Love Song - This one is on here for nostalgia reasons, it was the song i had playing in my gamecube house in my first town. (which i also associate with the lovely series....pls come back)

K.K. Disco - I just had this in my head and realized how much I’ve come to like it 

Hypno K.K. - I am not immune to popular spooky town song (it reminds me of those other songs like etude but off)

Eyebrow Products

ETUDE Tint My 4-Tip Brow (#4 Gray Brown) - This was used almost to death when I started grooming my brows and went a bit razor happy. I'd use this the night before and draw on the shape and fill in any spots, go to sleep, and lightly pat them with a wet washcloth in the morning. By then the really dark initial application would have faded away leaving a more subtle tint that while not as perfect as actually drawing on your brows gives the illusion of them naturally being darker/even. I think I've really found what brow shape and thickness really works for me, so I really don't find myself needing this. Maybe I was just overzealous, but I don't think it was all that good at creating hair like strokes or really anything super precise, just a good blocking marker. I think this is discontinued anyways; it still says Etude House on it and I swear they changed it to just ETUDE a few years back. This hasn't even hinted at being near death though so if it wants to hang on, we're letting it stay.

AOA Slim Brow Pencil (Dark Brown & Caramel) - When I say micro tip I fucking mean micro tip. Now that does mean you're not getting as much product as you could with another pencil with a different shape but this is literally $1. It's fine. Good size for drawing on eyebrow tails.

Skinfood Choco Eyebrow Powder Cake (No.02 Grey Khaki Black) - Perfect for natural black hair!! I've found that if you have dark hair, your eyebrow color should be slightly lighter and grayer than you think for it to look natural and not k.k. slider block black brows. Unless that's your preferred look, I'm not judging. This comes with two shades and even though the color has black in the title, the deepest shade isn't a true black but more a deep cool brown. They build up well and any excess is easy to remove as it's sheer and buildable. The brush that comes with it sucks ass and is way too stiff and cheap paintbrush feeling though, use your own angled brow/eyeliner brush or whatever is your preferred brow brush.

L.A. Colors Mascara (Clear) - I use this as a clear brow gel instead of a clear mascara-- I'm sure it's fine for that too! The wand is huge and coats my brows in like 1-2 swipes. There's no amazing glue-like hold, it's just a clear gel you can brush through your brow that offers some semblance of control. Again, $1, it's fine.

e.l.f. Cosmetics Wow Brow Gel (Deep Brown) - I got this for the days I want a brow gel but not want to lighten them. So boy makeup. This is smaller and more precise than other brow gels in my collection but has added fibers which I could honestly do without since my eyebrows are naturally pretty full. Good for the outer half of the brow since I like an ombre effect.

ISEHAN Kiss Me Heavy Rotation Coloring Eyebrow (03 Ash Brown) - Essential if you dye your hair or just want to lighten your brows. The wand isn't as big as la colors but isn't as small as elf. The color's thin and even so you can really go ham in between the hairs. There are no added fibers so if your brows are sparse that's on you lol

Daiso Eyebrow Pencil - I'm sorry but I deadass can't find any more info on this. It's an eyebrow pencil I bought at a daiso. it's a dark brown thin oval shape, applies just fine, a little thick for drawing on individual hairs but i usually just use this to draw on a vague eyebrow tail. I gotta finish this by next year, pretty much all the writing has rubbed off and this is the second eyebrow pencil I've bought ever so it's had a good run.

2023 Makeup Collection

Do I wear a full face of makeup on a regular basis? No. Do I still have a lot of makeup? Yes. Let me have my collections of trinkets, very little things bring me joy nowadays

The worst of my impulse purchases have arrived so I think this is a good time to round up the products and see what I have, what I like, what I don't like, what I've been neglecting, etc. I don't want to do project pan since I only leave the house like two or three times a week (but only for like. Things that don't matter. Who's getting ready to go to the fucking supermarket for 15 minutes) so it would just be me setting myself up for disappointment and that's no fun. How about this; I'll set some small, realistic goals for the year for some products and we'll see what happens. Swatches later maybe

Face Primers

Kose Suncut Water in UV Protect Essence SPF 50+ PA++++ - Yes this is technically a sunscreen but it also doubles as a makeup primer! This is the second primer sunscreen hybrid I've used (the first being Kao Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence which I also like and feels similar to this one). It's no longer available on YesStyle, which is where I get the majority of k and j beauty products, so that kind of sucks but I like trying out new products anyways. It feels hydrating but not heavy and absorbs into the skin not immediately but like. After a reasonable amount of time considering I slather a good amount of this all over my face and neck. No problems with laying foundation over it, no strong fragrance, no whitecast, the color isn't the stark white nightmare from my childhood, and while it doesn't completely smooth out my problem areas like the T zone or my cheeks (to be fair that's where all my large pores and acne are), it leaves the rest of my skin nice. This is my only sunscreen so obviously I'm going to use it until I either run out or it goes bad.

Milk Makeup Blur Stick - Hm. I used to really love this. It's easy to apply, glides smoothly, and leaves a nice velvet finish. Maybe there's a layer of grease that's built up over time (I should,,,, sanitize it regardless let's be honest) but I find it pilling in the more dehydrated nooks and crannies of my nose and over the textured parts of my skin. It's fine if I apply it on a flat and clear section but my acne is not taking it well. Can't say I recommend it if your face is a slice of pepperoni pizza like mine, but I will still be keeping it only to use on the outside of my face as I'm an incredibly oily and sweaty person and I find this keeps unwanted moisture from seeping out. It doesn't feel drying on the skin but it does feel dry so let's hope I can avoid two summers ago when my makeup melted off my face and sweat dripped from my hair down my forehead making it look like I just got out of the water. I was taking a leisurely walk downtown. I found the full size at a Marshall's for much cheaper so if you're paying full price for this you are an absolute clown. I did find it a couple of years ago so I doubt there's still any more left (plus it seems like Milk is paying more attention to their other primers) but at the very least, don't get the full size if you're a casual makeup wearer. Or do whatever you want I'm not your mom. I want to flatten the initial mound of product completely and start having to twist it up since holy shit I've had this since the 10th grade

Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer - Oh my god this is my favorite primer so far. It does what the Milk used to do for me before it decided flaky skin was the look and lays beautifully over my large pores, acne, and weird patch on the side of my nose that for some reason decided to be a problem one day. I don't think acne scarring to blame but who knows at this point. It's more hydrating and a thinner consistency than the blur stick and doesn't have that balmy feel as it's a liquid, my nose looks and feels fine with it under foundation and powder, 10/10 I will use this until it's dead. I am not even rating these that's how you know I love this. If you see this at a Marshall's turn the other eye and leave that shit for me. There's a green one for redness I was also going to buy but decided against it specifically because the line was too long lol.

The Face Shop Air Cotton Makeup Base SPF30 PA++ (#01 Mint) - I got this for my "boy" makeup days where I want to look perfected but not actually done up. Haven't gotten around to using it since I got it pretty recently and been on a full color correcting kick nowadays. But sometimes I want to be a "yeah I have blemishes, what of it" kind of girl but also do I need to look like Rudolph the red nosed reindeer meeting up to gossip with my friend group???? No.
