OH HEY. Character A and B having a fight. It's B's turn to make dinner today, and A decides to lock in their room and just don't have dinner. The problem is, they didn't really get to eat properly today. They where actually looking forward to dinner so they could finally fill up and now they can't even get that. So their tummy rumbles emptily, longing for the food they are unable to get. They just endure it because they already made their decision and are too prideful to take it back. And the noise can very much be heared at the other side. Nothing can be heared from A's room except for the pleading growl of their stomach. B probably takes sympathy at them when they hear the noise and leaves a plate outside of their door.

just a teeny update (more of a tweak, actually) after i've Thought about it a little

my portrayal of ratio is aromantic, which could be adjusted to demiromantic through discussion with anyone who wants to develop a ship with him.

and on the subject of ships, please note that i will be very selective about approaching the ratio/ave.ntur.ine ship in general. i do not follow the fanon takes for this ship, i hate that they've been branded the hsr kav.eth.am, and it's a ship that would require a lot of discussion before i'll even consider it.

Since I requested only one character at a time, I'll only do K.aveh for this post. However, I think I already did a 💐 post for Al.Haitham! Just check #Valentine's asks to find it!

K.aveh is definitely one of those people who forget to eat because they're so caught up in their work or hobby. I can see him sitting at his desk, making sketches for his latest architectural concept in the dead hours of the night, barely paying attention to the angry pit in his stomach, clenching painfully beneath his ribs.

He doesn't even hear it growling desperately for scraps of anything as he continues his passion project. That is, until he hears the clock chime for midnight and is surprised by how quickly the time passed. Turns out, this goober forgot to eat both lunch and dinner, and his belly is NOT happy about it.

I think he may have gotten used to the feeling of hunger, but that still doesn't make it any less uncomfortable. Just like K.aveh, his tummy is a drama queen. Even if he hasn't eaten for a couple of hours, it goes nuts, cramping up and groaning loudly for all to hear. You can only imagine how cranky it must be after skipping two whole meals.

This, of course, embarrasses him greatly, regardless if he's in a room full of people or in a room all by himself. It makes things worse if he can feel a growl coming and he can't stop it from sounding off. At this point, he'll groan along with it and pitifully rub his hand on it, trying to chase away all those irritating hunger pangs.

the charming thing about kaveh is that he stays. ik when i speak about him this way it makes it sound like he’s weak, but he’s not. it’s toxic because kaveh’s personality and my personality clashes in right places and amplifies in wrong places but that’s the fun part isn’t it? how people can change or influence you in good ways or bad. and healing is also messy (unfortunately). for kaveh, even if it’s difficult if he sees meaning in staying he will stay. he’s a fixer from my understanding. that’s why i love putting him with readers who have a messy personality.

but this is my view without an in-depth character study. really just based on vibes. i could be wrong 🤷

you know? i’ve always sort of understood selfship as you x your favourite character, and that’s where the fun is isn’t it! imagining yourself with a favourite character is basically the foundation of selfships.

so if i were to selfship the most obvious answer would be with thoma. but thinking about it, that’s kind of boring. considering how i’ve been giving kaveh my ideas with a reader who has large quantities of my messy personality, perhaps me x kaveh would be a more interesting and rich selfship in terms of story.

we kind of make each other worse. isn’t that fun? so if i were to ever participate in selfship events i’ll use kaveh. just for the fun of trouble, haha!

alternatively: guys i don’t think Roommates With The Worse Man Possible is dead. it’s very much coming back as another idea. i haven’t fully explored what i wanted, it seems.

and now that i am Thinking about it (listen, it was my profession for 5 years & i was an amateur for ten years prior to that), here is a list of my hyv muses (main roster only) ranked by their ability to sew:

m.enogias - the master. this man probably invented a number of the techniques still used in current day t.eyvat. there is nothing he cannot do, and nothing he doesn't know. if alive in current day, he has of course taken the time to learn any new skills that have developed in his absence. he must remain the master.

t.homa - this housekeeper has many talents besides cleaning. we know he can knit/crochet (he knows both) and of course he knows how to sew as well. whilst he does do repairs to the wardrobes of his lord and lady, most of his skills go towards making sure the other staff in the estate are always looking their best. he has also offered his skills to the people of i.nazuma who are less fortunate.

n.atasha - she doesn't just stitch up people, but clothes too. much of what she does is repair work, but she's made clothes for the orphans of the underworld from time to time. she learned most of her sewing skills after coming to the underworld as a doctor, though she started her learning as a younger girl.

b.aizhu - similar to n.atasha, only b.aizhu learnt to sew clothes before people. growing up in a poorer village, clothes were readily mended before replaced, and he made sure to learn young.

vautrin; b.eidou - learned to sew out of necessity, both for personal needs and as a result of their chosen profession. very adept at the basics, and could probably pick up more complicated skills if required.

w.riothesley; blade; b.oothill; s.ethos; c.yno - can sew, but only learned the very basics required to patch up clothes damaged in combat (blade; b.oothill; s.ethos; c.yno), or worn out through a less than comfortable lifestyle (w.riothesley; s.ethos; c.yno). both w.rio and blade can also stitch up wounds, the former learning first out of necessity and then from s.igewinne; the latter because it's easier to do it himself and wait until his rapid healing kicks in.

k.aveh - similar to the above, only with less practical experience (so far). will probably rank higher over time if he continues to learn, but it isn't a great passion of his.

razor; g.orou; l.uka - technically, they are capable of sewing a seam. it is, however.... not pretty. a repair job would be functional at best, probably hold for a few days, and then inevitably fall apart. of these three, razor is the most competent out of necessity for his lifestyle, but his stitching is crude and rough and frequently needs redoing. l.uka now finds it more difficult with his metal arm, but teeth are often a good substitute for pulling needles through fabric if necessary.

dr. r.atio - knows how to sew in theory, but has never put it into practice. studied techniques and skills, both from texts and from observing professionals, simply out of interest for knowledge, has no desire to test out any of those skills. is probably capable of it, but impossible to know how it would turn out.

z.hongli - has never tried. is aware of many skills and techniques (one cannot spend too long around m.enogias without learning a thing or two) but would rather leave things to professionals.

g.allagher; b.eisht - have never tried. could probably sew a button if they needed to, but haven't ever needed to. one is an entity who takes many forms, the other is a god who takes many forms. clothing gets damaged? oh, would you look at that - it's magically fixed.
