Sumire + “Little Miss Perfect”

In middle school, Sumire figures out she’s gay and the only person she tells is Kasumi. And they’ve talked about it and compared notes and concluded that Sumire is gay and Kasumi is straight. Like that’s a fact, Sumire doesn’t feel the way about guys that Kasumi does and Kasumi does not feel the way about girls that Sumire does.

But then Kasumi dies and Sumire becomes her. And it’s fine! At least it is for awhile until “Kasumi” sees a girl and her heart skips a beat and she starts to get all flushed and she has take a second to control herself because what is she doing? Sumire, small, never good enough Sumire is the gay one, Kasumi is Straight, and talented, and perfect, and straight. She cannot be Kasumi if she’s gay.

And so Sumire has a massive identity crisis until third semester where she has to sort herself out and kind of accept who she is for the second time since she came out to Kasumi

I’m thinking this is Sumitaba because I like it but I could also see it working for AnnSumi or just Sumi/random girl, the ship isn’t really the important part.
