escapril day 23: simulation

at the sushi restaurant we’re simulating a world in which this is just a normal tuesday. a world in which we laugh a bit about blowing off meetings with coworkers for you, a lit review for me, smile at ourselves, knowing we’ll do it again next week for the glitter of the ocean at golden hour. a world in which my bee sting is an anomaly, a silly moment in an otherwise unremarkable afternoon (to the extent that any afternoon with you could possibly be unremarkable).
