i dont think it automatically shows a lack of intelligence or passion for film like at all to stick to only writing meme of week one liner jokes for reviews its definitely something that people get stuck in too because it is so easy and natural and something really pushed for on letterboxd + i know some people also feel pressured to write long thought out detailed reviews of every single movie they watch even when they arent feeling it or cant and a lot of people just feel pressured to write a review at all but they dont really know what to say or what to add to it so its just quick and simple to write out a one liner. its even more easy when people eat it up and laugh at it so much and the wholeeee list of top reviews becomes only those reviews but that is To Me a little sad and frustrating and i too get sick of seeing them everyyywhere and it is the same jokes/memes of the week over and over and just feels very overdone and unfunny 😭 like its not always easy to be genuine and sincere and really think about things But... thats the beauty of it its really good to push yourself to do those things anyways.. doesnt have to be 24/7 but it is a good thing to make yourself think and put your thoughts and feelings into words if you can thats all.. also i dont really care what anyone does in the grand scheme of things i know its something thats just become normal and usual too i just thought since i was on the topic id add this
