yesterday i read a review by someone saying in recent years it’s become “trendy” for fantasy books to discuss colonialism and they thought a master of djinn handled the topic badly, then named three white authors from the global north who they thought wrote about it better than p. djèlí clark 🙃 i’m still pissed off
