Like good omens? Bc the current climate of bkdk is exactly like what happens with Crowley and Aziraphale. EVERYONE, and i mean, EVERYONE around them realizes they love/want each other in the shortest amount of time possible but not the two guys that have known each other for thousands of years, until like, now and they STILL fucked it up.

Good Omens is always a show I knew I would love, but never got around to watching. My friend basically made me binge the entirety of season one a week ago and then I binged all of season two when I got home, and MY GOD. MY GOD. THEY ARE SO MUCH LIKE BKDK AND IT SUCKS.

I feel like this is obvious but Good Omens season 2 spoilers lol.

Aziraphale kinda likes to romanticize the time when Crowley was an Angel WITH HIM. The first scene in season 2 where Crowley and Aziraphale first meet and Aziraphale watches him with puppy dog eyes, all of it reminded me of bkdk’s childhood. And from Izuku’s perspective, it was AMAZING! He got Kacchan all to himself, they were friends, even if he was a bit mean and teased him. But to Bakugou? It felt like Izuku was bullying him, looking down on him. It feels a lot like Crowley’s perspective on heaven. He doesn’t like hell either, but at least they don’t care how things get done, just that it’s done.

AND LIKE, AZIRAPHALE AND CROWLEY HAVE SIMILAR PROBLEMS I KIND OF SEE IZUKU AND KATSUKI HAVING. Losing your sense of identity in the obsession of the one you love, it fucking happens! There’s this post about Crowley and Aziraphale’s relationship that puts this into words so well, and it feels very them, yk? Bkdk feel so so much like the type of people who could get so attached to each other that they lose what makes them, them.

AND MAYBE THATS A STRETCH, BUT YEVAISBISHSISHSHJSB

When togachako’s relationship is built off of your individual senses of identity (who therefore feel a lot like Maggie and Nina in this equation tbh), and bkdk’s is built off of the fact that you’ve never had a point in your life where this person HADNT existed, then you can see how that can turn into a problem—especially for their relationship.

Bkdk is a slowburn built off of a fear of rejection, much like Crowley and Aziraphale. Because if this person ISNT in your life, then who are you really? What makes you, “you”? What makes us, “us”?

Is there really space for “you”, in a sense of self built on “us”?

ALSO AZIRAPHALE SAYING “I FORGIVE YOU” AFTER THAT KISS BROKE MY FUCKING HEART RVEINSUSVSISBUS

Their miscommunication in both bkdk and in Aziraphale/Crowley is so so bad and yet so so relatable why is it like that good lord.

I think what I liked most about season 2 was when Nina made the comment that “everyone else’s love life always seems so much more straight forward than your own”, AND IF THAT ISNT BKDK/TGCK THEN I DONT KNOW WHAT IS LMAO

Oh yeah and the coffee theory is dumb. It very much makes sense for Aziraphale to take the offer that he did. He has said time and time again that heaven has the good guys and hell has the bad guys, there’s just individually good and bad people in both. He has always wanted Crowley to be a part of heaven again, he literally always mentions how Crowley “was an Angel once”.

Aziraphale represents the cult-ish mentality that Christianity can be. He wants to believe that there is a higher power that doesn’t agree with the things angels do and don’t do, because if that isn’t the case, then every belief he has ever been told was built on a lie.

Heaven negates it’s flaws by simply believing that there are individually flawed angels and not that the larger system itself is a problem. This is why metatron says this in his meeting with Gabriel and the other high ranking angels. Gabriel cannot fall or there is a systematic problem, and so long as there isn’t a systematic problem, he will simply be dealt with in the cleanest way possible.

It’s all a capitalism metaphor. If Aziraphale is good enough, if he believes in god and her plan, if he believes in the good Crowley has in his heart, if he believes that a fundamentally flawed system can be changed for the better, if you can somehow work hard enough for your company, you will be rewarded. You will be praised. You will be seen as a person who deserves recognition because you worked hard enough.

But you never work hard enough. There is no plan. There is no infinite peak. It’s just you, in an infinite universe, trying to guess some plan that will never be comprehensible.

LOOK IM OF THE BELIEF THAT GOD HAS HAD NO HAND IN ANY OF THIS SINCE THE BEGINNING, EVERYONES JUST MAKING IT THE FUCK UP.

heyyyyyy do you like worldbuilding headcanons? i do! and ive spent some time writing up some of mine about how wandering traders, pixandria, and chromia connect!

ill start this off by again saying this is just headcanons, not theories. i am fully not expecting ANY of this to be made canon.

anyway, this is going to be a bit of a long read, so strap in for a fun time and head under the read more!

when it was first revealed by scott that his character like traveled a lot as a kid, i know a lot of people were like "oh what if he was a wandering trader? what if his family were wandering traders?" and i feel like thats tapered off a lot ever since he revealed the skull thing, but i still think it was a neat headcanon

and then in season 1, when pix was talking to fwhip about wandering traders, he said, "i see my kind isnt welcome around here" and like i know he was just doing a bit but like?? assuming copper king pix was human, it would make sense for him to have been a wandering trader before he was king

and i know not all wandering traders come from pixandria but. consider it. also i do feel like most wandering traders do have some pixandrian lineage somewhere down the line simply because in s1 im pretty sure pixandria was one of the places that wasnt actively hostile to wandering traders?

if i remember correctly, pix killed one for some leads once and that was it

anyway into the worldbuilding aspect.

all the written history of pixandria remained in the empire

so when it disappeared, all that was left was the oral histories of the traders who happened to be away at the time and whatever writings they had (mainly receipts and other transaction records). this is why the history books say its hard to tell if pixandria ever really existed, bc A) its been a thousand years and B) bc just like many real historians a lot of academics just didnt take the wandering traders oral histories seriously

many traders still use the pixandrian numbering system for their own personal records, too! they use the mangrovian base-16 numerical system for interactions with others, but their own notes are in pixandrian base-12 bc its easier to tally quickly

also basically every family claims theirs is the one that the fabled Copper King was born(/adopted) into.

but whos to say? they may all be wrong, and that bloodline died out a long time ago (or they may all be right, and every family of pixandrian wandering traders can in some way trace their lineage back to them), but whos to say? certainly not scott

obviously theres a lot that has been lost because its been a thousand years of them basically living in a permanent diaspora

one of the reasons that scott was so put out about losing his fedora is bc he embroidered a personal tally in pixandrian numerals of all the artifacts hed stolen on the brim, and so when he had to get a new one he had to start from scratch

bc of the way pixandrian numerals are written it just looks like a funky little stylized floral pattern to other people, but a wandering trader would instantly know that its a count of something, just not necessarily of what

i also choose to believe that the reason villagers/wandering traders use emeralds as currency is bc they can find them really easily and so its not so much that its valuable bc of its rarity as much as being valuable because they use them to make a lot of jewelry and to embellish pocketwatches and such (bc like. as a game mechanic villagers produce infinite emeralds. not great to base an economy on)

so scott wears a lot of emeralds and copper (in addition to the gold that appears to be cc!scotts go-to accent for his characters)!!

and as with about half of the s2 "rulers", i headcanon scott as having founded chromia himself

so i personally headcanon him as having built it with the intent for half the houses to be uninhabited but upkept so they can be halfway homes for wandering traders and other travellers who are between trips

anyway yeah i think about things a perfectly normal amount

so anyways if u see an ace person celebrating pride this year and wanna pop a vein Maybe run the simple concept through your 2 braincells that truth be told we are not allowed to exist in any positive way literally at all besides the CHANCE of being accepted during lgbt+ pride events. it rly is as simple as; This is all we fucking have, as we gain visibility we only receive more hate and violence, oppression is a complicated system and for oppression to take place at one point in time a group is simply vulnerable and targeted as the system is built against them, so if you dont take the ‘in between’ state of not privileged, not yet oppressed as a mandatory time for intervention to prevent worse harm, you are part of the problem of letting these injustices happen. its basic critical and sympathetic thought to understand that you dont need to be bottom of the barrel oppressed to not just face ‘valid problems’, but ones that Deserve to be corrected. facing prejudice and major constant injustices is... not smth to shrug off and ignore, they are actual problems for the ppl that exist under them and we literally cannot just move past them. and tbh ranking these kinds of things slightly lower and trying to prioritize causes is one thing, but ffs there is literally No moral system that should say ‘well some injustices are ok and ppl should just deal with them theirselves'. expecting ppl to support themselves and get over injustices or stop talking about them for any reason isnt progressive! at all! stop letting ace people be constantly fucking miserable and realize we just want ur fucking help and that our basic emotional responses to injustices isnt cringey(TM) its human, 2k19
