A laugh bubbled up Daryl's throat. Yeah, he really did poke fun at the youngest Greene and her boyfriend just to turn around and make goo-goo eyes at y/n. "Whatever," he whispered, staring into y/n's eyes.

She watched him watch her intently, hand fiddling with Daryl's growing hair. How she ended up with a crossbow wielding softie redneck as a boyfriend after the downfall if society: she will never know. "Kissie?" She broke the silence, doe eyes the purest thing Daryl had ever seen.

"Mornin' breath, sweetheart," he warned."

Daryl smiled. "Come 'ere," he ordered, letting his hands slide to hold the back of y/n's neck to pull her close. He kissed her roughly, unlike most good morning kisses. Daryl felt y/n sigh into his mouth, something that always drove Daryl wild. The hunter felt y/n grasp desperatly at his hair, shoulders. He felt the way her lips moulded beutifully with his and groaned low in his throat.

"How can you go that long without breathing?"

y/n jumped up at the sudden, loud asked question. Daryl sat up too, an embarrased flush creeping up his neck.

Michonne watched the two split apart like two magnets with her own jaw dropped. "Y'all where like-" she cut herself off eith a shudder. "y/n, best let your man take care of his boner cos we got some scavenging to do," she explained before turning and leaving. Daryl swore on the hair on his head that Michonne muttered "five damn minutes, glued like that" as she left

"Well!" y/n said, turning to Daryl. "Guess I'll see you later. Bye," she said, untangling herself from the bed and peering into the large mirror shard to fix her hair.

Daryl pulled her back in for another kiss before she left, whispering 'be safe' against her flushed lips.

i’m not sure how i got here.

maybe it’s because i didn’t eat much last night? or maybe i was running around in the heat with nothing to eat. whatever it maybe, it got me to this position today.

“check his pulse!”

“he’s alive just passed out!”

“get him on the stretcher asap, this heat isn’t good for him!”

ah that’s right, someone called the ambulance..

as they pulled me along, i finally opened my eyes a bit. questions were being thrown at me left and right. i turned my head side to side to try and make sense of who is saying what but it’s all a blur.

everything became clearer once i spotted a cropped knitted sweater, i’ve seen it many nights ago but i can recognize it any where. i quickly began unbuckling my seat belt.

i didn’t care about the paramedics yelling at me to return or the people staring at me with their mouths agape. i was dead set on catching up to her.

“hey sir! those flowers!” i shouted as i took out some money to pay the man for the bouquet. i kept running even as i snatched up the flowers.

i finally caught up to y/n. she was about to turn the corner but i stopped her just in time.

“you walk-“ i had to catch my breath a little. “so fast for someone who has no where to be..” i then remembered the flowers and shoved them into her chest. i watched as her face light up with what seemed to be genuine appreciation but then it fell just as soon as it came.

“what’s this for..?” she asked me while examining the flowers like they were something foreign. she looked cute while doing it, her hair and makeup today were light. i see she opted to really show off her natural hair type. unfortunately i think i took too long to respond because she snapped her fingers at me. “helloooo, earth to jungkook-“

“it’s koo, you know that,” i pouted at the usuage of my proper name.

“not the point, i asked what these are for?” she raised an eyebrow and tilted her head.

“well i wanted to apologize about yesterday.. maybe i was overreacting about namjoon, not jimin though! but you get what i’m sayin.”. i rubbed the back of my neck nervously and avoided eye contact with her. when i did look at her, she seemed at a lose for words. i don’t enjoy apologizing to anyone and she knows that, i prefer to think i’m somewhat right and move on.

“oh well.. thank you koo, that’s very thoughtful of you.. i—“ i quickly cut her off and smiled brightly.

“i love you too y/n!”

“not what i was going to say jeon.” she narrowed her eyes to a glare.

“you thought it though!” maybe i’m delusional or straight up insane but i saw something change in the way she looked at me.

“fuck you.” she walked around me but i followed behind her.

“that’d be hot.” i smirked as i put an arm around her waist.

Okay, slow on the uptake, so bear with me, as I’m sure someone else has already mentioned it. But remember I’m late to the Naruto fandom, so please have mercy on me, lol. Random thoughts pop into my head throughout the work day and this is one of them.

Never really thought about it, but in love with the factoid/ideology that Kakashi’s Anbu mask is a fox! I know there’s a lot of fanon lore that he was/is a dog (that sounds weird. Kakashi is a dog! Darn, what did bruh do to you?!) and the fox revelation came long after fanon in one of the novels, or so I’m told, but I get it and it makes sense. In the long run, it’s kinda sorta wholesome. It unintentionally and unironically connects him to Naruto, who has Kurama, the nine-tailed FOX, inside of him. So, it’s like dude with the fox mask becomes sensei and mentor to kid with the fox inside. It’s relational. Fox teaches baby fox kinda thing. How even in Anbu, he was still connected to that kid and his sensei, the part of himself that he wanted to get away from. It’s kind of paying homage to the past and looking to the future. And, at least to me, makes sense. Naruto was masking his fox and Kakashi was wearing a fox mask. I know some folks are like, he’d be more suited to have a dog or wolf mask, which ngl, would be tight, as he is, for some unexplored reason, connected to wolves, dogs, and the canine/lupine family of things, but at the end of the day I get the whole fox thing. But that’s just me and I really do have to get back to work, bah, 😝 but just sayin…

Notes: I do not look forward to washing my hair but I also don’t feel like paying salon prices. I was very self-indulgent with this. I want Joel Miller to do my hair while he talks to me. 🥰 Like that’s all. Not much. 🤣 I am also convinced that he knows how to care for hair. I saw Sarah's hair. That's all I'mma say. 😏

Today was a good day for it, Layla decided. It was a Saturday; Joel was working with Tommy on a contracting job that was running into overtime based on their client’s changing tastes. Sarah was out for a good portion for the day due to soccer and then she planned to study at a friend’s house afterward.

The woman stood in front of her mirror and combed out her hair. It wasn’t particularly long, past her shoulders when blown out, but it was extremely thick and sucked up moisture like a sponge, leaving it constantly dry. She removed her night gown and strode into the bathroom and looked to gather her hair products from the little caddy Joel had set up for her. Layla used to keep them under the sink but Joel said he they should be more accessible for her and bought the caddy while he had been out and attempted to organize her hair supplies. She chuckled, reminded of how he always rubs the back of his neck when he isn’t sure about something and she pulled him in for a kiss, reminded yet again at how observant he is.

The water from the shower felt good as she wet her hair and massaged her scalp, repeating the process while shampooing her hair and washing it out after. She let the water flow over her shoulders after applying the conditioner and washing her body. This was the main issue with doing her own hair sometimes, the strain on her shoulders from trying to care for all it, especially the back which she has difficulty reaching. After rising everything off, she stepped out of the shower and towel dried her hair, then wrapped it so the bathroom floor wouldn’t be completely drenched.

The front door closed downstairs; someone had just come home. Maybe Sarah had come early, was the soccer game canceled? She slipped on a simple sleeveless sundress; she didn’t have time for underwear. Heavy steps made their way up the stairs.

No not Sarah.

“Joel, what are you doing home honey?” Layla asked, sitting on the bed, going through her after wash hair supplies box she kept in the closet. Joel stood in the doorway, happy to see her in just a towel on her head. Layla chuckled, “Keep starting Joel. I’m not starting anything while this hair is wet though. I’ll be fit to be tied if it dries and knots up.” The contractor smiled and stood before her and kissed her forehead.

“Wouldn’t dream of it darlin’ looks like I’m rubbing off on ya. Me and my sayin’s.” He grinned. Really, they complemented each other well, Layla had become relaxed her speech some and even picked up a few of Joel’s phrases. Joel had in turn and relaxed slightly, not taking everything so seriously. He looked through her hair box. “Which order you use these in sugar? I can help. Did Sarah’s hair for a bit before Tommy married Maria and Sarah turned her back on her dad.” Layla giggled, Joel would view it that way, she nodded and handed him the detangling spray and a comb.

“I take it you know how to section it out. I have a lot of hair Miller as you well know. I’d like to keep most of it if you don’t mind.” She looked up at him smiling. This was a lot of faith she had in him, she trusted a select few with her hair outside of herself, her hairdresser and her mother, Joel was going to be the fourth if did well. Joel nodded and spayed her hair; he looked in her hair box and found some clips to help divide her hair as he separated it into eight sections. He pointed to the leather chair, and she moved as it was closer to the outlet. Plugging in the hair dryer, he then sprayed the heat protectant on it. Layla sat still she had been anxious but she hadn’t needed to tell him anything, Joel started drying, section by section. The heat and Joel’s large hands running her hair made her sigh. Her feet patted the floor, she was feeling chilled below her shoulders, but it was fine she could deal with a little cold as an exchange for someone else doing her hair.

The Texan smirked as he looked down, more than halfway done with drying, he was also spraying some leave in conditioner after he finished drying. Just on the ends, he knew he would need the grease for her scalp in a bit. After he finished the eight sections, he went over all her hair with the dryer one final time. “Well shit girl, I still got it.” Joel exclaimed, nodding to himself, admiring his work. Layla tipped her chin up to peer at Joel, she laughed.

“I guess you do Joel, but it’s not like you to leave a job unfinished love.” She reached up to grab his hand and pulled it to her lips, kissing the back of it. It smelled like the guava spray he had just used on her hair. “You’re almost done Miller.” Joel leaned down and kissed her cheek.

“S’alright sugar. I got ya.” Joel put down the dryer and reluctantly pulled his hand back. Lalya brought her chin back down and faced forward. The older Miller brother spooned out a handful of a green hair food, commonly called grease. It didn’t feel too dissimilar grease that Joel used on his tools, he rubbed it between his palms and start kneading her scalp, beginning at the back of her head, and working his way up. The sensation made Layla’s toes curl a bit, his strong fingers massaging the warm flesh beneath her hair, his thumbs worked toward the middle of her head while his other fingers spread outward to the fringes near her ears.

“God bless those hands of yours Joel Miller.” The woman moaned, taking hold of the arm rests of the hair and dug her fingers into the chair, her feet arched as she pressed the balls of her feet into the wooden floor. Joel watched as she was relishing the massage. A soft smile came upon his face. Of course, he loved watching as his love appeared to be getting aroused, but more than that, she was sharing more of herself with him. He knew that they came from very different backgrounds, it was moments like this where they bridged their gaps with their shared experiences. His hands worked his way to the top of her head, and he tied her hair in her usual updo as she preferred it off her neck. Joel wiped the excess spray and grease from her shoulders and neck and touched his lips to her neck. He then used the same town to get the grease off his hands.

“Yer all set Layla honey. Ya gonna recommend me?” He asked coyly, she stood and walked over to the mirror, appraising his work though her head felt ten times better than it usually did. Sugar whipped around, making her dress spin with her, and pointed at Joel, curling her finger to tell him to come hither. He put the supplies back in the box and did as she ruffled his curly brown locks, she leaned up to his nose, then his cheek and then his lips, lingering for a minute, Joel wrapped and arm around her wide waist, squeezing her as he did whenever she was near.

“No. Unless it’s Sarah, I don’t want you doing anyone else’s hair. I’m greedy when it comes to you Joel.” Her hand landed on the pocket of shirt, feeling his heartbeat as she laid her cheek on his chest. “Thank you, I’ve never had a man do my hair before. You have any openings in about two, three weeks tops?” She asked playfully looking up at him, her wide smile, made Joel’s frown at her initial no disappear. He tried not to smile as well, but he knew how infectious it was, the crinkles around his eyes gave him away already.

“I reckon I can make it work in two weeks. I’mma need a deposit from ya though Sugar.” His booming laugh filled the empty house with its echo, another ritual began at the Miller home.

3. Favorite character from the prequels: ANAKIN OF COURSE. I had a HUGE crush on him (and both of his actors) when I was younger. he quite quickly became my favorite character of all time after watching the original trilogy, so I have to say him for this 💙

Do you have any ships?: a few, yes!! mainly the ones that are canon, like Han/Leia, Cut/Suu, and Anakin/Padme, or ones that were semi-canon like Obi-Wan/Satine and Rey/Finn (despite what anyone says otherwise!!). there's also some that I wouldn't be mad about like Fennec/Boba and Din/Bo-Katan. my OTP though? Kanan/Hera. by FAR. like legit, that is one of my top OTPs in general. I love them so much 🥺💙

13. Would you want to be a Force user?: YES. VERY MUCH SO. being an empathetic and neurodivergent person, I often feel like I have "special powers" like Force users do. and who wouldn't want to be able to make stuff float all the time? (also, just sayin', if anyone has read any recent MLWTBB stuff, then this answer shouldn't be any surprise 😜)

15. Did you play any Star Wars video games?: yes!! I've played all the LEGO games and still play the newest one to this day 😁 also, the Podracer game for N64, Rogue Squadron for Gamecube (didn't care for that one though 😝), Battlefront 1&2 (2 is better!! and I LOVE the story for that one!!), and Squadrons! we owned both of the Force Unleashed games at one point, but I never tried playing them cause my bro said they were bad LOL. also, we own Fallen Order, but my bro said it's basically unplayable due to loading times, even on our PS5 😩

16. Have you read any Star Wars books?: only a few. I've read Phasma (my longest sigh ever 😞), Before The Awakening (the Poe story is the best!!), and some of the Breakout Squad books! I also have the first Poe Dameron comic, and LOTS of visual guides 😌

24. Would you want to be human, or from another species?: well I kept myself as human in MLWTBB so 😬 my favorite species are Devaronians though, so if I could be anything else, it would be that 😋

Which character doesn't get enough credit or screentime?: there's honestly a lot of characters I could put here, but I'm going to be completely biased and say Phasma and Crosshair. as much as I had... feelings about the Phasma book, herself as a character was one of the only interesting things in that entire story. she absolutely fascinates me and is such an interesting villain; that story really drives home just how cruel and selfish she is. also I just adore her and want to see more of her 😩🙏🏻 and I shouldn't even have to explain myself for Crosshair. he's one of the most interesting characters EVER created for SW. I want an entire series about that man. GIVE ME MORE OF HIM DANG IT 😤

33. Which movie have you watched the most?: honestly? it's probably The Phantom Menace. I've watched the original trilogy several times, but overall I'd say TPM has all three of those movies beat. mainly cause my bro liked to watch it as a kid haha

39. If you wrote a 'fix-it fic', what would you write about?: funny you should ask! I actually already am writing a fix-it fic! 😌 this isn't spoilers cause I've already talked about it before, but I'm changing Plan 99 for MLWTBB. despite wanting to keep that series as close to the show as possible, I simply can't remove Tech from the story. despite whatever might happen in season 3, Tech is making it out of Plan 99 in one piece. I've actually already written several chapters in this far-off future fic and have most of the rest of it planned out. idc if I have to completely alter the events of season 3 because of this, I refuse to lose my favorite nerd tyvm 😤 honestly, at this point, it's not even so much me condemning the choices of the writers, it's me showing grace and love to the character. Tech literally changed my life in the absolute best way possible, and I can't let anything bad happen to him because of that 🥺💙

MY THOUGHTS ON TBB 2×13 "Pabu"

This episode was what I expected it to be. It was exactly what we needed; the calm before the storm. And with it also came the unpleasantness of people complaining, which is also something that doesn't surprise me. It saddens me how some fans are so quick to dismiss an episode when it's not all pew-pew! zoom-zoom! and emotional pain. Just for you to know, storytelling cannot be action-packed, high-stakes, a thousand miles per hour ALL THE TIME! It's not sustainable. A story requires valleys and mountains during the journey to be good. If not, it becomes a flat, and no matter the action or the high stakes it tries to convey, it gets to a point where it's just boring. Or worse, the audience gets desensitized with things that should be a big deal.

And I won't comment about Tech's new "hinted" relationship because I think most people, who don't like it, are drowning in a glass of water, as we say in my home country. People need to chill out. I should remind everyone this is a kid show, and it's very unlikely that they will focus on a romantic relationship for any of the characters, so hold your horses and stop worrying about things that aren't there.

More rant and my thoughts below the cut.

I know some people don't like Phee since the beginning, but this is exactly the role I thought she would have at this point. It was obvious since the season began that business with Cid weren't going to last much longer, and Phee could be another source of work, more reliable (sorta) and mutually beneficial for everyone involved. She has always gone 50/50 profits with the Batch without need to bargain for it. She never threatened them, and as we see in this episode, she offers them help, genuinely and expecting nothing in return. Not only that, but she's a good person in general. At least, better than Cid.

Only in my second watch, I noticed that Omega grabs the briefcase with the credits when the shootout in the cantina starts. They get away with the relic AND the money 😆 That's what Phee meant with the comment of being impressed by Omega, I think.

Oh, Tech! 🤣🤣🤣 Only a challenge when you play against yourself.

Phee is not wrong, saying Omega needs to learn other skills (and Tech taking offended by that)

I'm glad that they haven't returned to Cid, but that she's going to get a payback because of that. Also, is it me, or it's weird that glitch in her holo? I'm having horrible thoughts here about it, but I won't say them out loud, so I don't cast them into existence.

Pabu is beautiful. I'd love to live there.

Loved that Wrecker teased Tech about having competition. Even if I don't think this thing with Tech and Phee will get any further than flirting, but it's funny. And Tech deserves a little of love.

AAAAAHHH!!! Someone finally said it with all the letters. Hunter is Omega's father 😁 and he didn't deny it.

Pabu definitely could a good place to lie low, but we know it won't last. Even if it's not permanently, it's nice that the boys know this place in case of need.

I love that Omega is having the chance to be a kid, and see that life can be different. It's a bit cruel because the idyllic moment won't last, but it shows her a future she could dream of. Something worthy of fighting for herself and her family.

I must say Pabu's evacuation plan is top-notch, as its people know how not to lose their minds to panic, because no casualties not injured in an evacuation with such a short time of warning is nothing but a miracle. I know, I know, this episode was meant to be nice, uplifting, and hopeful, so deaths by a tsunami didn't go well with that, but I just sayin' 😝

FINALLY!! My boy Wrecker got satisfied and got the rest needed. This season has been rough on him, tbh.

Wait! WHAT?!!! How didn't I noticed this before?!! The Amazing Steve Blum was on this episode?!!! That's awesome! For those who are wondering, he voiced 3 characters: Lanse Crowder (the buyer in the cantina), Mr. Eenta (the old man Wrecker saved), and an unnamed villager.

Well, as I said before, this episode met my expectations regarding the type of story would be. After what happened last week (that I'm still crying over it), I need a little fun, light interlude to get a breather before what will come in the next 2 weeks. Buckle up, my dears, because what's coming it's going to hit us HARD.
