#personal#just read an article on the sinking of the ms estonia called a sea story#i think part of it is how quickly the ship turned into a death trap#i've read and watched quite a lot of stuff about plane crashes where this is usually the case (admiralcloudberg is a big one) but#ig i didn't usually think of ships as sinking that fast?#and also the detailed look into what passengers would've had to do to escape and how those attempts often failed were brutal
